What are the differences between the new series 2 LS400 and WS400 OBS for waterbourne basecoat. I felt like the old Ws400 series 1 OBS was less suited for the job compared too the ls400 for base , is this the same case for series 2?
Hi, so typically LS-400 and WS-400 BASE are used for very different paint technologies. Some systems prefer LS-400 and some prefer WS-400 BASE. So to answer your question neither is better or worse, it depends on the set up you need for the product you are working with. Hi, thank you for commenting - Series 2 parts are interchangeable. Series 1 and Series 2 are not compatible. Series 2 all have tailored setups, we suggest looking at our recommendation charts to find the best match for the paint system you are using. Nice workshop . Just would like to know the timings between base coats and clear coats !? Can I let dry the base coats completely or they need to be wet in order to apply the clear coats ? Thanks
Between Wet, Immediate, and Drop Coats there is a flash-off between 3-5 minutes! Before the clear coat stage, Allow for a minimum of 15 minutes of final flash-off time at 20°C before clearcoat application!

I have both now. 2 WS & 2 LS - The series looks and feels smoother.... You can dial in your series 1 to nearly identical pattern - but then turn it out to a wider "I pattern" , when you want it to.... Series 2 definitely is more Comfortable
You keep telling everyone to look at their local branch. The gun is not available at all in the US it's all over in Australia for almost a year now but nothing for the US. That's the thanks we get for purchasing your guns for all these years. Real nice 👎

We used Autowave 2.0 because we filmed this at AkzoNobel. The Series 2 features multiple recommendations for multiple brands.
