I like that you are one of the only ones who uploads the modifications of his Kia Forte here to RUclips, I hope one day to do something like you haha greetings from Mexico
Thanks for that! Nothing like that noisy rocker sound that you get from Kia motors 😂. I have a 2015 it at times was so loud I took it back to the dealer & they said its normal. Except for needing a tune up I never have any problems with my car and the noise kinda went away after 50k miles
Great video. Thinking of putting an intake on my 2019 Kia Forte. The only question I have is did the check engine light come after you installed the intake?
In my opinion unless u have a turbo and BOV there’s no point in putting one of these in because it doesn’t change the sound much I have one in mine but I boosted mine so the BOV sound is pretty Loud
At leats, somebody making videos about 2.0 NA Kia Forte... The only thing i see, are videos about the GT Turbo. I do have a 2.0 NA too and i keep looking on what i can do to gain some HP, i hope you can help me... do you have an instagram profile where we can chat and exchange some info? It would be great!
I don't get it, how does cold air come into the filter? You removed the tube from the front grill that sucks in air. How does it receive cold air from the engine compartment?
Hey man i saw your video, very details on instruction. I have a few questions - How does the noise compare to the original one, does it need a remap after install this? - I'm thinking just get a K&N filter similar with the original one since mine was just a 1.6 non turbo. What do you think before and after for this cold air intake?
You do not need to remap anything. No check engine light should come on either as you use the OEM mass air flow sensor. I have the AEM cold air intake on my 2019 Forte S & it works & sounds beautiful. K&N & AEM are identical brands. Only difference is K&N uses oiled filters & AEM does not. If you go on the AEM website to look at installation instructions, the website link uses the K&N website. Also, if you do end up installing this on your Forte, remember at the end of installing to remove the hose from the fresh air intake duct and then reinstall the duct, unlike this guy. He has no air flowing into his filter because he did not reinstall the air intake duct. You will see what I am talking about at 9 minutes and 43 seconds.
@@nuchh23 You are right, i take second look and he forgot to reinstall the air intake duct. Does the OEM duct produce enough air for AEM/K&N cool air intake or we need to upgrade to big mount ram air intake? I actually living in tropical country where got heavy rain quite sometime. Does the water will leak into the engine if i use this cool intake or it's gonna fine? Thanks bro
@@tuantrinhpa sorry for the late response sir… so you will get enough air with the OEM duct without a doubt. I have the big mouth air inlet from velossatech on my vehicle & that works great too. Now with the water getting into the cold air intake- I personally do not think you should have an issue since it’s under the hood. If you were talking about the air inlet with the rain- you should not have an issue either. I went to the car wash yesterday & did a test of it & it was dry. Keep in mind I live in New York and the weather is always changing so from what I have seen so far, no issues my friend
No. The stock bottom end of the engine block will not handle that boost pressure. Do not attempt to install a turbo to this Theta 2.0, you will break it.
It’s the nu motor and you can turbo it but it’s a high risk of detonating outside the chamber. It’s a multi port injection set up on top of Atkinson cycle. So end of story take it to a dealer and get the 1.6 t
Hi you definitely get an increase in torque and of coarse sound I have one on my 2023 seltos lx better sound better gas better torque in lower gears just my experience
Any noticable difference in driving? Feel more pickup? I've been looking at getting this for my 2019 forte S. The manufacturer claims a 7hp gain on average which doesn't seem like much but its stock with only 147hp.
You certainly will, providing during your C.A.I install you remove the 2 hot water circulation lines from the throttle body assembly. And you will absolutely notice a huge response in acceleration, It will be instant without any hesitation.
Sir, You are not receiving any of the benefit from your new C.A.I, As you left on the hot water circulation lines that go to the throttle body, I have seen hundreds, if not thousands of guys make this very same mistake. You MUST remove the 2 hot water lines off of the Throttle body, cap them off, and then you will notice a huge..I MEAN HUGE difference, in acceleration response and a very healthy H.P. boost of around 3 to 7 depending on atmospheric pressure and humidity.
Isn't that risky to remove those lines when in cold weather? Its possible condensation can build up and freeze the value closed? Correct me if I'm wrong.
And I have the same exact cai and same 19 forte. I did notice something is not right. I feel like there's a leak somewhere and I'm not getting all the air I should be sucking. Everything is tightened correctly as well. Its lacking power though

Can you make a drive by video of just the cold air intake installed I’m trying to figure out how it sounds
Hey! nice upload. I was waiting for this mod haha

Can a cold air intake go on the turbo charged engine?
This is the most I’ve heard actual in a video
Sorry, I see a oil catch does this car also have a issue with the PCV system?
Awesome video. I'm about to do my 2016 forte
What's the red and black "oil filter looking thing?" Sorry I missed that.

Great video!!! I’d like to know if you were to switch your exhaust which 1 would you go with for your Kia
Did you ever figure out if the radio without navigation can have the firmware updated?
Why a catch can on a multi point injection engine? People usually do those on direct injected engines
I wonder what the intake air temp differences are..
I don't get it, how does cold air come into the filter? You removed the tube from the front grill that sucks in air. How does it receive cold air from the engine compartment?
When the vehicle is moving, it most certainly will get a cold air intake. how ever, obviously not sitting still, ie like at a stop light, etc...
Damn was waiting for this
Hi man i love your videos! I have a question, that instake fit to the new forte 2.0l LX 2022?
I have a 2019 Kia forte ox’s I’m about to try this

@@tuantrinhpa the biggest thing is to make sure you reinstall the intake duct. Without it, it defeats the purpose of a cold air intake.

before you took the sensor out, what is that part behind it. the 400 w7?
oil catch can. never mind lol
Make drive by and inside video acceleration?
Hi there really did you see any benefits in new air filter .idont think so iam really surprised can you share me your experiences ihave same car bro
Can I use this for Kia Forte gt line 2021?
If it is a 2.0 yes 1.6 no
Yes
I’m planning on buying Kia Forte GT line. I love your videos. Are you planning on plasti dip your emblems or car door handles in the future?
I got a 21 gt line a few months ago, it’s a nice car and I can’t wait for it to be warmer to start doing some minor mods to it
Did it help with initial take off I have 2020 and the thing takes of so slow even have a pedal commander
No it does not. It needs to get moving so cool air can pass through
It takes forever to take off because it has a CVT transmission
their new price is $450, damn
Its $350 now but still great
Do all these mods work with a 2020 Forte LX?
Can I use this on the 22 kia forte gt line?
Will this work/fit for a 2020 Kia Forte?
Yes
Do you actually feel the increase hp while driving. Does improve the throttle response?
Hi you definitely get an increase in torque and of coarse sound I have one on my 2023 seltos lx better sound better gas better torque in lower gears just my experience
Has this made your check engine light ever turn on
Does this void warranty?
Did this add any horsepower?
Supposedly 6+
Will this work for a 2018 lx?
Throttle body spacer?
How you get it for literally 100$ cheaper than it is now ?
& where can i get this since the original always outa stock

Hello, excellent video. one question, does this model work for the 1.6 engine?
I’m pretty sure the 19s all have 2.0s in them and I’m not sure the older models have a similar engine bay or not
I believe you need to get a different intake for 1.6
Will this do for the 2020?
I'm pretty sure the 19-20 are basically the same. Let me know if you know anything more.
Did you feel any difference in performance?
Still wondering
What about for a 2021 kia forte gt line auto
More videos of performance pls🤩 any recommendation?
It’s the same engine so it should work I have a 2022 forte lxs and the engine is the same as this one. Same setup
And everything
Would this fit on a 2011
