If you are planning for a budget short solo trip to mussoorie, make sure you know how to ride a two wheeler otherwise for a solo traveler, the commute to different tourist attractions is really expensive as the mode of transport is usually cab/taxi and they charge really high. Some rickshaw guys are there but they don't go to farther distances and they also charge high even for a short commute.
Just a week back even I was there with my family where I stayed at Sterling Mussoorie which is surely among the best in town and we also headed to Rishikesh after Mussoorie and surely say both this places were totally two different planets I loved both and both are beautiful differently Uttarakhand is ❤️

It is very beautiful place surrounded by mountains only. In future maybe I m thinking of settling again in Dehradun....for me it's like my 2nd Hometown u can tell.
7:50 i m local,and numerous accidents of scooter slipping and falling down has happened at that place recently due to road construction and mud on road.....

@@pratikshelke2571 oh sorry i don't really know about price range or all that cuz i have never stayed in any hotels in mussoorie......but i would suggest that you stay in hotels in happy valley or little far from main mussoorie bazaar/mallroad cuz they r expensive....i don't know about scooty rates cuz i have never hired one....maybe 400-500 for a day,im not sure(but do carry driiving license)....and road is safe but just drive slowly and with awareness...the punks from haryana,delhi,up drive very harsh even in mountain roads and u may lose your life even if you are driving on right side....

Hey, I rented it via goSTOPS, where they normally charge a slightly lesser rate. Ofcourse this depends on when you go, what season it is and whether its a weekend or not :)

Can you share how much the cabs charge to the major attractions from mall road?
While returning you didn't add up ₹2000 cost of cab to dehradun
So total expenditure ₹5000+₹2000 = 7000

Sometimes as a solo female traveller, we have to make choices where you prioritise safety over budget. Hence the cab :)
