Ha I thought you said RadioShack at first
I was a RadioShack salesman in 2006. True story.
@@JackFossett I literally miss RadioShack. True story 😔
Thanks Jack a really useful explanation and demo of what sounds like real paf pickups.
Not on topic, but what is your approach to Ear protection if any? Thanks!
Raido Shop pickups definitely Rock, I have afew different sets and even ordered loaded pick guards, they are awsome to deal with.
WOW! The low end GROWL is amazing. They sound rich with flavor. I like them alot!!
Jack,
A couple questions for you: What pickups did your guitar have originally? Also, what are the most likely applications for these? I mean, I would suspect most users wouldn't be motivated to replace Gibson period-correct PAFs with these. But how about spiffing up an Epiphone?
A bit late but I did upgrade my Les Paul custom epiphone with these and they sound amazing
Absolutely fantastic have a wonderful weekend Jack ❤😊
They sound good! I've played a '68 Custom for decades and never really explored the late '50s Standard thing until recently - listening / paying attention to early '70s players more closely basically, and recently trying a few very pricey Gibson Anniversary Custom Shop models and I was surprised at how bright the pick-ups were - shocked, really! I now 'get' the P90 / 'Tele on Steroids' comments you sometimes hear - utterly different from my Custom which has always been more of an expanded acoustic guitar idea (clean) for me. These have a terrific clean articulation, very impressed with the neck. Thanks for the overview - will check out the website / other reviews - I am leaning towards Monty's PAFs & Bethnal Greens right now but nice to find another boutique line!
I have a pair of Montys PAF's in my 50's Standard and they are amazing! I also have a Sunbear PAF in another Les Paul which I prefer slightly, but thats more preference than one being better than the other I think
@@elliotgreen987 Thanks for the heads up - always nice to hear a personal endorsement from someone who is clearly a happy customer! Cheers.
That Les Paul is beautiful
Too much talking
