Wow thats huge bud. Its a beautiful piece of engineering there. Thanks for sharing bud!!
Love to see your excitement when starting another project. Very nice and informative unboxing, Keep up the good work.
Thanks for watching
Terrific unboxing, beautiful model! Looks like it will be a great model to build and get un the air. Looking forward to seeing it come together.
That is absolutely gorgeous! Nicest radial engine I’ve ever seen.
Man i love T-28s , my Dad flew them when he was in the Air Force
Landing gear looks really nice
Yeah. Just massive gear
Beautiful kit. Love it.
Focke-wulf 190A-8 is my favorite i was so sad when Top Flite stopped making their giant scale :( what a beautiful BIRD!
Totally agree
wow really great looking plane and the engine outstanding☺👍👍
Thanks for watching
Beautiful build I love molded planes. The glue fillets plus looks like they used Hysol Aero Epoxy. Really worth the money. That Five cylinder ought to pull it around the patch no problem.
I love that. “ around the patch 😉”
That is epic, incoming I could fit that in my hangar 😂. That cockpit 36:42 is orsum, looking forward to this build. 👍🏻
Me too. Have a Merry Christmas my friend
My favourite WW2 planeis the P51, in fact I do have one but it's been in storage for a while. It's actually one of the actual P51 Mustangs from the film Empire of the Sun, 1 of only 2 to survive from the film.
Carry on with the fantastic content xx
Nice choice!!! Thanks for watching
Great plane congrats!
Dude the air brake would be cool with screens. Exactly like you said. Want to make sure that your plane is well built for the money. 🔥
I've been eyeing this model up at my local, very keen to see your build before making my decision, mostly concerned about the firewall, let us know how you go mounting the 180UMS and if you need to cut or modify the wall at all, specially as the front wheel mounts under the firewall
This will be updated on my JPC Facebook page. That portion was just posted yesterday. Check it out
Christmas came early! 😂 Congrats
Thanks for Don’s info parts on the way!
Very NICE! I wish I could afford that set up. It’s all nice…until it augers into the deck like a lawn dart. Enjoy!!!
How are the scale details on this model? Panel lines and rivets?
Scale lines and rivits look good. Not a perfect model but I am not a perfect scale guy. Like the retracts are not white. It bothers people. I am tired of working on it and wanna fly it lol
Geez, for that price I couldn’t even afford the box it comes in, so I guess I’ll have to live vicariously through you lol
I will do my best to make it an enjoyable ride. Best wishes my friend. Thanks for watching.
I wasn't sure which expensive plane I wanted to go with and so far I think this is the one.
Thanks for watching and don’t forget to tell them I sent you
Beautiful aircraft. I know how you build so I am looking forward to seeing it finished and flying. Why did your son stop flying?
lol. He got bored with it. I had him on the buddy box at like 8. He was doing so good I wasn’t paying attn. he tried flying through the club pavilion. lol. He almost made it.
I note that your retracts are same as the set I got in that the scissor links are flat against the oleo leg and they can not be compressed at all. Be keen to see thoughts on this and how to fix it.
Are you going to be able to use a scale exhaust for the radial?
No. Using the ringed exhaust
Great unboxing- Im following this build - great engine choice.
Thanks. And thanks for watching
It’s not a WWII bird. Designed afterwards & entered service in the 50’s.
That's the choke not a shutoff on the back of carb
Oh super cool. That makes sense. Thanks. My first radial
Hello I’m looking at the Top rc p51 mustang don’t know what size to go for yet 50cc or 85cc size model anyways I was watching your detail video on the zero it came out brilliant, question is can you detail a composite model ?
Thanks just liked and following your channel
Eventually I will weather this one. Still trying to finish it
Nice plane and engine selection!!
Just let Gator RC know I’m ready for my sponsorship…😁👍
They are good people
Yep! I’ve purchased from them a few times now and they definitely don’t disappoint. Can’t wait to see this one in the air!
My favorite WWII planes are the , P51-B P-47 Razorback , FW-190G and A6M6 Zero
I have a seagull models zero also from Gator. Absolutely love that plane. I will be devastated one day
@JustPlaneCrazy I have one as well... does anyone make something better for the tailwheel. Or a replacment. That plastic peice that slides over thr tailwheel and your servo rod connects to is GARBAGE
@@jjames5928 not that I am aware ofm
When are you going to publish a build video of the Rc Model T28 Trojan.
As I get it done. Currently working on it
@JustPlaneCrazy I'm presently working on the silver one I just purchased from Mike at gator. Could use some help here. Some minor problems exist.
@amc42947 check out my Facebook page or send me messages through fb messenger
Awesome plane hope to see it at Pegasus warbird event this yr and also Colen stepped down as VP so I'm new VP for Pegasus woohoo
Congrats my man. See u next year
I haven't seen any new videos. Some of as don't do Facebook
More are on the way. I have a few things still to sort out before those vids are released. Don’t want to leave them hanging without answers to things I ran into
How do you put together your models so fast? Is this your full time job? Ama8zing work !!
No. I have an exhausting full time job and the regular dad duties. Time management I guess is my strong suite
Indeed! Keep up the great videos!
@aidengriffen thanks for watching!!!
@@JustPlaneCrazy I’m going to be building my first gasser this spring. Do you have any plans on a video walk through build on any of your upcoming builds? Looking for tips like mounting the gas engine (without a template) to installing your plumbing and electronics. It would be really insightful from someone of your building expertise! Keep up the great work! Always look forward to your unboxing videos!
@aidengriffen I hate to say on this I will be doing that but maybe not helpful for your situation. Check out the build on my zero. All that info should be helpful
Jealous, man Id love one of those! Awesome plane
Thanks man.
Great plane what's the color of the leading edge
Silver
With that engine, did you need tail weight?
No added weight to the plane
Love it
Looking forward to getting this one. I just downloaded the manual and was not impressed. Are Top RC Airplane installation manuals usually this lacking? I'll definitely be watching the build. Good luck 😃
Thanks. Manual is not great but the way I build things it’s always against the norm. This is my first TopRc model so my guess is they are all the same. So I always stray from the manual. Mounting this radial has already done that. Good thing we had these vids right! Thanks for watching
Well said, my friend!🙂
So what happened with the plane and pavilion
.maison
He was about 8. Got good at flying. I kept him on a buddy box just in case. I got bored and wasn’t paying attn. he got bored also and wanted to try flying through our pavilion. He almost made it
Nice build, but I'm just wondering how to afford all
Thanks for watching!!
Would still like to know how you can afford all the planes you build. I sure can
Having seen any new videos
Ben trying to build. Vids soon
Super
Yea, for over 7K with motor it should be a nice kit LMAO!
Looks cool. Too bad it’s TopRC (questionable) quality.
The size of these models is getting just plane silly 😁 Park your car off the airfield
They are becoming impossible to get out of the basement
Too bad that’s a minimum $5k to build.
$3400 !! 😳
Includes retracts
With retracts this size that means a large composite model is about 2300 I feel it’s inline with others.
right there with Carf...
47K. You’re shitting me.
Not an engine kill its a choke.
Thanks. A couple people have commented. It’s a bit different from what I am used to seeing. First radial learning curve I guess
not WWII
Thanks
It’s a choke !!! Ugh
Thanks. Someone else shared that info with me. It’s all good. Not ashamed. My first radial.
A beautifully made airplane BUT the worst directions ever. Why don't they get someone that speaks and writes English to write the directions!
Yup. They need to pay me to do it
you threw the flap tube out with the plastic bag mate.
Dude!!!!!!!!!!!! I can’t believe u caught that. I do that when I walked by. Sooo funny. Thanks for watching and sooo closely
@@JustPlaneCrazy all good mate. I’m ex RAAF electronics tech and project manager so details are my thing. I miss nada. Will be interested to see how you do nose steering and get that radial in. I’m going simple, DLE-111. I briefly considered the UMS after seeing yours till I checked the price of them here, $2999 USD and as AUD is 0.60 it is getting too expensive to even consider.
@PeterOZ61 it’s all in barely. Gotta figure out the nose steering. Kinda confusing. Really hacked up the nose mount for now. I will rebuild it after I get the steering linkage built
@PeterOZ61 email me or fb messenger me. I will share pics. Brendenmccormick@att.net
@@JustPlaneCrazy tiller arm aimed fore and aft. Drill 2 x 4mm holes and tap in the oleo wide enough to fit heavy duty metal captive ball link and run an arm to servo arm. Put heavy duty Clevis on that. That way you get no twisting motion. Servo arm and tiller arm should be equal length if possible. Should not require any dremel work on timber that way.
