When your mom innovates the three part harmony in all of gospel choirs/ music, you're trained to think & sing the same way. May God continue to bless the Clark Sisters. In all honesty, they need to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Twinkie Clark wrote this song originally back in 1979. They had an album called He Gave Me Nothing To Lose. This version was a slower remixed version for Twinkies album in 1996 and she wanted her sisters on it. They also have another sister named Denise who no longer sings with them but she was also in the original version.
What is amazing is that not only Twinkie plays the organ, but Dorinda does as well, and Karen is an amazing drummer and many are amazing writers as well. Talented family
Wow! Absolutely amazing! I got chills…just added all their albums to my Apple Music. I am so excited. Thanks so much for what you do! You’ve been a blessing 🙌

@@MarySings I know u would love it.they are legends.they have a movie on lifetime movie network about their life and careers that is really good .when u get time u should check it out .came out in 2020 I think.
Twinkie wrote and arranged all their music back then she is a pure genius and her vocal range was nothing to play with!!! She could get low as most men and then get almost as high as Karen and Denise!!!
In all due respect I will agree with you on most of what you said, especially when you mentioned that Twinkie can sing lower than most men. However, I have to disagree with your statement that she can sing almost as high as Karen and Denise. The reason I disagree is that Twinkie is the only sister who has recorded the highest note ever, which is an F6 on "The Darkest Hour." Your statement would be correct if you said that she can't belt in full voice as high as Karen or even Denise. To tell the whole truth, those who study music and have a degree in vocal performance will tell you that Denise sings the highest of all of them, including Karen. Denise's voice is lighter, while Karen's voice has more weight to it. It may seem like Karen sings the highest, but that's not the case. In terms of their vocal ranges from highest to lowest, it would be: number one, Denise; then Karen; then Twinkie; then Jackie; and finally, Dorinda. Again, Twinkie is the lowest, which means she has the widest range of all the sisters. I would bet that the average listener thinks Dorinda can sing higher than Jackie, but that is simply not true. Nonetheless, I enjoyed your comment!
I love when you react to The Clark Sisters. I also love how you discussed being so well rehearsed! They were, but I remember hearing a story about how a lot of this was mostly improv outside of the verses and chorus. There is a moment where Twinkie (playing the organ) looks over at one of them and asks “What’re they doing?”. And to my knowledge after this performance, they sang it like this from then on.
You should do a reaction to the clark sisters name it and claim it!! When they sung at oh happy day concert ,it's all 5 clark sisters and they show you harmony for real!!!
Twinkle, on the Organ, wrote this song in the 70s. Their mother was Mattie Moss Clark, (also unsung) unbelievable composer of gospel choral music in the 50s, but waaay ahead of her time. You may want to review a recording of the song called "I'm on my way to heaven", re-recorded by daughter (singing in this video) Dorinda Clark Cole. Redone in the 90s. You'll love it!!!
You’re right it is discipline, but it’s also a discipline **outside/past** singing that then allows the Holy Spirit, the anointing of God to flow, which releases the ability to do the things you point out. This is a great illustration of the difference between “singing” and “sanging!”

This performance was recorded 2 years after their mother, Dr Mattie Moss Clark, passed. This was literally the reunion with all 4 on stage.
