The most underrated artist of all time, of any genre.

Ryan's Fancy played at my high school in Truro Nova Scotia back in 78 or so. My mother took me to see them and ever since then I was hooked on this kind of music. Full of soul and gristle.

I just saw Garnet in Baltimore MD. The things he told me about his relationship with Stan's wife, Ariel real name is Diane, is very sad. I bought Garnet's 2nd book. I have a bit of Canadian Corner in my computer room in the state of Maryland.

I never heard of Stan Rogers until about 5 days ago. He was so talented. Such a shame he died so young.

Stan and Garnet have such an ambience when they speak. It's like no matter what they say, it sounds like a historical recollection.

Thank you for adding so many great videos and memories to the Stan Rogers collection in my head and heart. It's a real gift to so many of us! I was at that last concert in Cambridge in 1983, and it feels as though it were yesterday.

You are welcome, as I gather you live in the Boston area. We listen to WUMB all the time here in Maryland as we are monthly members. Boston is a great town, as we go to Maine every October. I have something going to the Boston Redsox oneday, which they accepted. A very unusual item tied in with the Toronto Maple Leaf minor league baseball club that moved in 1967.

@@westernmaryland1928 How about this? I grew up outside Buffalo, where the old baseball Bisons played in the International League with those Maple Leafs. I used to listen to games (the away games were all recreated in the studio) on the radio. Wish I had some of those recorded on that pile of audio tape reels in the closet.

Thanks! And I not Canadian, but my friend John, made me a honorary Canadian! O:)! I stumbled into this. You must get Jim Cain's book, Rise Again, a novel, about the rising of the Mary Ellen Carter. I have no financial interest in this book. Its a great novel.

At 12:00 I heard this song ("Broken Man in Halifax") at the 1972 Mariposa Folk Festival in Ontario. Unforgettable and it sounded just like this!

Hi Bhima, You are welcome, as I live in Maryland, not in Canada. I too am a huge fan of Stan's. I have many concerts on youtube for Stan, never heard before on half of them before I uploaded them. Plus some variations of 45 Years and Make and Break Harbour. On Amazon is a book by a Jim Cain. Rise Again, a fiction book about the raising of the Mary Ellen Carter. Jim did a great job with the book, approved by Stan's wife, Ariel. Its on Amazon.

Hi Bhima Someone did not want to share the concerts she had for Stan, its a sad sorry, but I got them in the end. These are classic video and audio that need to be share, to keep the music and soul of Stan alive.

My Sally's like the raven's wing. Her hair is like her mother's. With hands that make quick work or a chore, and eyes like the top of a stove. If you've never known fear, you may find it in the Maritimes.
