I tried to beat the calamity mod in Terraria using only summoner weapons, armor and accessories giving a brand new unique spin on the game with the brand new 1.4 whips, will Boio be able to beat all of calamity only as the summoner class, or will he fall victim to the wrath of calamitas, well stay tuned to find out !

@@jethammermc7552 alright let me tell you the tale of an empty promise and my eternal mission. One fateful day, years ago now Boio uploaded a video many have forgotten. In this fateful video boio had found a version of terraria on scratch. You see, while the game itself was lacking, boio had missed many an item. There were bosses left unfought, items yet to be grabbed, and there was only a glimmer of hope of him ever discovering them. He had stated that if he had gained ten thousand likes on his video he would spend 100 days in scratch, a goal that small a youtuber could only dream of achieving but years passes and his influence grew, and one fateful day the algorithm pushed that scratch terreria video and overnight he had reached his goal, but he had yet to know. Ever since that day every single video he uploads I comment to try and remind him, to try a beg him to furfill his empty promise. When that day comes, I will be at peace and I know, deep down, so will he.
That is just a torture.

Bones for spinal tap
Alchemy table for easier healing potions,
Bewitching tables for one extra summon,
Some more bones for some necro armor,
And a little bit more, just to make sure, some for the bone throwing glove.
And a teensy weensy little amount for water candles,
A muramasa for the nights edge,
Cobalt shield for the ankh shield
And a obsidian key,
And that’s what I’m doing inside the jungle during pre-hardmode.
A little bit later, when slimes hit like gators I’m getting some EctoPlasm (Hey wait that’s me!) tabi’s and black belts for the master ninja gear,
A sniper rifle to just make sure that I hit the enemies that are near,
In modded, I’m looking in there for the tormented souls, and how could I forget, a kidnapped hard head, the engineer, ohhhh I also need to fight the polterghiest, they drop something really good that I just can’t resist.
And that was wackos list of items that I get from the dungeon

Great to see someone playing summoner in Calamity. I just finished my Master/Revengence mode playthrough as a summoner and it was great fun. I highly recommend summoner as it is by far the best class in Calamity.

I am trying to play as the summoner class in Calamity (I'm in expert mode) but I find myself struggling to beat bosses after Queen Bee, King Slime, etc. This is my first time playing Calamity so would you know any pre-hardmode items that will help me progress? I'm currently using Bee armor, the staff of Cthulu, belladonne, and wulfrum droid as my setup.
@@clamspring1632 100%, currently doing a master/Infernum play-through and it is going strong.
@@Logan-nz5jk Yeah, pre hard mode is the biggest struggle for the summoner class. In my experience, the (Blood Clot Staff) from the perferator though being weak is a reliable choice. If you do not have access to that, I recommend the (Deepsea Staff) from the desert scorge. The instant you get into hard mode go to your tundra biome, here you will be able to get the (Ancient Ice Chunk) From a semi-rare enemy called the Ice Clasper. Once you get that, fish during a blood moon to get fight the Blood Nautilus to get a (Sanguine Staff).

You should use the magic storage mod, it makes your inventory very easy to navigate
Boio, summoner is OWERPOWERED late hardmode/post MoonLord- i used the resurrection butterfly and wither blossom staff- it melted Lunatic cultist and the moon lord- for whips you can use the morningstar/kaleidoscope

THE GODDAMN BEWITCHING TABLE (if you dont have alchemist npc)
Also the Alchemist Table, if you like potions, the Muramasa, if you're a melee player, the Water Bolt, if your a mage, the Necro Armor, if you're a ranger, and the Spinal Tap, a summoner whip that's literally the pre-WoF summoner weapon for vanilla.
Ok wikipedia but i said only bewitching table bc he played summoner and was the only important thing he could have gotten from there in that playthrough
Spinal tap is garbage use beenades to get firecracker instead

the fact that playing summoner is considered a challenge shows how much the devs enjoy the class
As much as I absolutely love these videos they just feel so short I know how long a normal terraria playthrough takes so I'm sure this takes at least as long so I feel like you could at least make these videos longer I'd prefer a series but at least do like a 30 min video so we have more to watch

Want to know how to beat yharon and scal? Use the mechworm staff, it's broken right now. Does more damage than post scal weapons.

Calamity mod is my favourite mod.
But....
You should try beating whole fargos souls mod with dlc that includes souls from ' thorium ''calamity' and 'shaddows of abaddon'.
That will be the best progression.
fargos soul dlc is not on 1.4 yet
You could've gotten The Staff of Necrosytes from dark caters.

In the lore calamitas boss fight is not the actual calamitas so you actually beat the clone, but it just turns out she looks like a gaster blaster from undertale.
Edit: the clone is early as hardmode and the actual version is after turning a fire breathing chicken into KFC (aka beating yahron) and technically when I think of this boss I think of it "coming back".

that wasnt the sunken sea to the left. the aunken sea is under the desert. what you found was the sulphurous sea.

This is hilarious, because I’m actually doing a Calamity Summoner run too. A little tricky to do since I’m not the best at dodging attacks, but I’m getting there, lol. Keep up the good work, Boio.

See I love boio boio, but the fact that you can use the same armor for destroyer in normal mod is obscene. In death mode (which I tried my first time playing calamity) I made a different armor set for every boss.
