I played terraria but I am the engineer/mechanic class, anything from a basic wooden drones, to crazy terra tier weapons and even a nuke dropping warship is available for us to use, so will I be able to take on moonlord and come out victorious, well let's find out !

i think a great turret combination would be status effects ichor cursed flame etc the effects do stacks that would be insane for raw damage
When doing a “only class” play trough in terraria the most painful thing its when the first weapon you can obtain its rng based/drop based.
Its like playing summoner in 1.4 and having to either get lucky and obtain finch staff or waiting until the rng gives you an abigail flower.

There's also the "Amulet of Many Minions" mod which allows for combat pets, and guarantees your first one in a chest near spawn
i think that summoner and mage are basically the only classes that do that. i cannot think of a class from a mod that doesnt have a wood weapon

i think the starter pack is nice because you dont die right off the bat and can start using your class items

The start is normally when people stop playing, it's such a slow start and it's super boring until you kill the first boss and that's only if expert mode is on

you should play the herbal class in the atherius mod, the actual mod adds 11 bosses, 200+ weapons and a few npcs

I agree like the fact that most classes you gotta like look for your starter item is kinda tedious
Ranged you gotta chop a tree and get a bow
But you gotta find stone and dig it up
Melee is not even a second thought you get it
Mage you gotta either find gems (which ik is hell) find a chest with a zapper (but the desert loves murder) or go on the over world and find a chest with the wand of sparking (which is also tedious)
I'm not even gonna bother about the summoner class part
Oh but I will.
Summoners have 4 potential minions they can get right off the bat, 5 if you can survive blood moon fishing. The problem is the Finch staff (tree chests) is bad, the Slime staff is *really* rare, and the Vampire Frog Staff requires not only a Blood Moon, but being able to survive FISHING in a Blood Moon. That leaves Abigail's Flower and the Flinx staff. Abigail's flower simply requires a tombstone and some luck, but has no/basically no knockback and is rather slow. The Flinx staff is pretty good, but requires gold bars and some Flinx fur (If you can get one to spawn). And armor? Summoners get only a SINGLE piece of armor pre-boss, once more requiring Flinx fur, gold, and silk. And that's just for minions. For whips, you either buy a Leather whip from the Zoologist for several gold, or go to the Jungle and craft the Snapthorn (spores, stingers, and I think a vine or two)
Tl;dr: Summoners don't even get a full armor set before defeating bosses.

You get messed up by purple slimes and zombies
Sometimes you spend hours looking for hermes boots
All and all starter bags are okay in my book, just as long as it doesn’t go past EoC in terms of progression at the most 👍👍

I gotta be the loud minority that likes the slow pace of pre-hardmode over hardmode. I love both, but the having to scramble to rush to the best new weapons, agonizing over Old One's Army, amongst the heavy rng that dominates desperately in hardmode really drains my excitement! Early game feels straight forward and I don't have to worry about deviating with tons of tasks, and is perfect for a slow goer like me! :))
But yeah, use those bags! Play how you want to play.

For the people who think the starter bag is cheating..
He has to be able to get a full run - from beginning to moon-lord - in a reasonable amount of time for the video to get out in time. The beginning stage of terraria really hinges on basically pure RNG whether or not you can do it quickly. Sometimes it can take hours and sometimes it can take much less time. Unfortunately, he might not have time for the early stage - plus not want to do it which honestly is totally understandable as the beginning of terraria can be absolutely *grueling*.
TL;DR beginning of the game takes a long time, maybe more time than he has available
