Man, it's crazy how far we've come since this... 7D deathless is an *_extremely_* impressive achievement, arguably the hardest thing anyone had ever done in Celeste when this run happened. And yet despite how difficult that already was, people have now goldened the _1 dash_ version of the level - including the old, un-nerfed version. The way people just keep pushing this game is absolutely insane
celeste community’s peak skill and accomplishments have very much been exponentially increasing. I’m both amazed and satisfied that I contributed/climbed a step of that in the early development of this game’s history, and like you said, especially considering how far it’s come it’s just wow. :’)

People who haven't played vanilla celeste c sides may disagree, but this is so much more than an investment in time but is such a demonstration of immense skill and determination. People always joked about 7d gold and then some crazy people started going for it and then the craziest one of them all joined the race. Well yeah, even veteran gamers can expect 30 000+ deaths completing this map, if they even have the tenacity to finish it. You'd need to already be an expert at the game to do it in 10k.

The end, when you got it, shocked me. I realised then that I've never pushed myself to that point. I may have felt accomplished after finally beating something or other that I'd been trying a lot to do (I'm playing through Hollow Knight at the moment and I'm awful at both combat games and platforming games, so that's the first thing that comes to mind) but I've never pushed myself so hard to do something that it puts me at that level of emotion when I get it. Then again, I've never really played something as extremely difficult as that without just giving up after 15 or so attempts. 130 hours, you said - I don't think I'll ever have the skill, motivation, or willpower to do that. You're truly amazing, man. Keep it up.
