This will forever be the craziest save in celeste history. Learning a backup strategy near the end of a very long golden in a grandmaster input density techspam room after watching a video of it on youtube and THEN DESPITE ALL OF THAT GETTING THE GOLDEN. Also seeing you freak out in chat was both funny and nerve wracking, even though I was watching the vod and I knew this was the run. This is amazing. And of course you end it by first trying the frame perfect heart ultra. Of course.
@@alejandrobello7005It's hard to compare things like these, but I would say this is harder. There is no point during my run that has any level of precision needed that's even close to the easiest room in this level. Though the length makes it much harder to get runs done.
Celeste genuinely reached the apotheosis with this. Ecl1psed, we watched you so many times, we followed your progress so much time... Your 1st f7 entry, your almost 20 f7 death without passing it, and finally the run that died at the 1st move of f6, the death f5, we were all shocked when you got the f2 entry once, and twice. You never gave up, you kept focus for this golden, and you finally did it, we are so proud of you, thank you very much!!!
I do not believe that it is statistically possible to get every golden strawberry without using assist mode, or cheating in some way. I kinda think that Maddy Thorson was trolling us by putting these strawberries in the game, and having no way to tell if someone is using assist mode just by looking at the screen footage. I think she knows full well that it's impossible, and the whole thing is little more than a social experiment to see how many people will cheat and then try to pass their work off as legitimate. There is no achievement or reward for getting these strawberries. You don't unlock a special ending where Theo chips a tooth on the gold strawberries in your pie. You do get a stamp of a gold strawberry on your save file if you succeed in getting all 25 gold strawberries. But PC players have already learned to hack their save slot to manipulate these stamps - including removing the assist stamp.
STRAWBERRY JAM 2 LETS GOOOOOO In all seriousness, this is the most insane Celeste achievement I have ever seen. I’ve dreamed of being this good at Celeste, but I don’t think it’s possible for me 😂 Regardless, congratulations on this legendary accomplishment!!!

The music is already synced to the final badeline launch, and this way you get to see the final screenshot of madeline with the golden in the heart room, which you wouldn't get if the golden collected early.

out of all the goldens i've seen since actively watching celeste again, this was the one that i was wondering when it'd happen. lo and behold, it actually happened! the many times i watched GMHS, i never thought that someone would ultimately pull through and conquer this seemingly inconquerable mountain, and that flag 4 save is simply a showcase of mastery. huge ggs, an incredible milestone for the community - sj is finally 100% goldened!!!

At the end of 2023, my favourite golden was Leviathan’s Rehearsal+ by WoahEgg. But now, I think I’ve found a new one lol. This is a historic golden, a very prestigious one, I think it’s fitting that it was obtained by the person who provided the gameplay for the official GMHS video, hahaha. Oh if you saw the chat replay on twitch you'd see they (don't know pronouns, don't want to assume) were watching a video or something and talking with people in chat to get that save. They did not think of it on the spot but it's still incredible that they managed to successfully execute a gm+2 room save on their first try WITH the pressure of the golden berry, while only having a single video for help.

Not even 3 months later, the first sub 25 minute speedrun was accomplished.
