    I am growing this one way out in Brentwood and it loves our weather. Wonderful variety for the bay!

    Very nice. Where did you get the plant?

    • @practicalorganicliving
      @practicalorganicliving  2 года назад

      You can check your local nursery or order online. Super easy to find online!

    I guess you have to go online for the more cold hardy bananas? In the Jacksonville (Florida) area what most nurseries have is the same old same old dwarf Cavenish.

      Interesting, I thought you would have more selection there! It’s much easier to grow in Jacksonville vs in our area. But there should still be a lot more online sellers based in your area than ours!

      @@practicalorganicliving Moving north from Palm Beach County I do not get it either. Tropical fruit trees are hard to come by up here. You can find all sorts of things down there.

    Any recommendations on where to buy raja puri banana plant?

    • @practicalorganicliving
      @practicalorganicliving  6 месяцев назад

      We bought ours online. If you live in an area that carries banana plants, you can check it out! We prefer not to recommend any particular source because we can’t verify if the plants are reliably good.

    How do u get the fruits to survive the winter?

    • @practicalorganicliving
      @practicalorganicliving  Год назад +1

      They do fine in the winter. They don’t grow but they’re alive as the thick trunks protect them from the frost. When the weather warms up, they sprout leaves again

    I live in coastal Alabama. Zone 8b.
    Is it true this Banana variety can produce fruit here?
    It’s just very expensive for that variety here and I’d like an experienced opinion first.
    We get a few days every year in the winter where the temp can get as low as about 28 degrees Fahrenheit.

      Zone 8b is pushing the limits but if you can protect your bananas by planting them by the house, mulching with straw, etc., then I think it’s possible!

    Hello Sir, I need a already harvested banana branch this Friday Sep 30th. Can you please provide me the same? I am in Pleasanton, CA. I can come to your place for the same.

      Hi, already harvested banana stalks will die because banana stalks die after beating fruit. You can get bananas easily from any nursery or online. I don’t have any banana pups to give away. Good luck 🍀!

    i heard that raja puri is extremely hard to get i ordered one from online but may not be a true raja

      @practicalorganicliving  6 месяцев назад

      Hope it turns out to be a true raja! It’s a very common banana in the world and in our area because of its cold hardiness

    Harvest Banana when there is only two leaves left on the three and you can avoid them from splitting.
