I connected to one of these in a shop. I played a bit of music on it. I turned the volume down before and still the whole shop heard the music, very powerful bass and clear sound. I don't have money for one of these but i heard the way it plays and it's really really nice
same
I don't get these negative comments.Im 62 and bought the 310 .I also bought one for my twin brother to enjoy. As musicians ,we both love the sights, sounds and ability to plug in mics ,guitars or just rock out . That Ultimate is amazing. I could imagine that at many college campuses or outdoor events in my day for sure. I'm not sure what the kids are into today...but this deserves all accolades.
I think Luke sums it up pretty good.

@@YoungBlaze very possible thanks for the reply
@YoungBlaze The problem is not the weight so much as the distance between the 2 handles. This makes it very uncomfortable for one person. No matter how strong you are, it's a bad idea trying to carry this Ultimate alone.
I think as long as you like it , it doesn’t matter about anyone else’s opinion

I work at a UPS hub and they use this speaker to play music and this is loud as hell you can literally hear it all over the building and it’s a big big building for reference so I’d say it’s worth the price
@@skylast4541 I bet it does. The sound surprises me each time I use it. It's pretty cool.
i love nothing other than the light effects and lighting itself. Its amazing
Me too I get hypnotized by all those dancing LEDs. I do wish they added a way to dim them if you wanted though. Sometime at night I find them a bit overwhelming.
Hear me JBL and drop a feature update please.
for 1600 dollars the app should work. full functionality should be standard with out wifi
@@XXPYR0XXexactly!!
That’s cool! The new age BOOM BOX!🎉🎉🎉🎉😮😮😮
Old school receiver with an actual sub and some tweets is probably a lot cheaper and way fkn louder. I had two JL 10w3s in a band pass box in my room. Shook my whole house. Didnt cost me very much back in the day. Had two 12w0s in my car. Jl just killed it back in the day. Loud sound for very little power. But my boston acoustic 12 killed all. Could not blow that thing. Dude at the tweeter store actually stood on the speaker and bounced on it. Did it to both 12s. Then hooked it up and played it. Power hungry but almost indestructible.
@-redacted_by_youtube I am sure you can get some good sound from an older setup, as you said. But believe me when I say the Ultimate is surprisingly loud with more bass than you expect from a stand-alone unit.
I’m a FAN! 👍
Gotta get one!
Yes, you will love it. Just be sure to invite the neighbors for opening night.
1600 dollars you can get an entire sound system with better sound quality and base speaker. and have full functionality with out blue tooth or wifi. something with a optical port for good sound quality. hook a desk top computer with optical port up to it. for best sound quality. but then again all that is not really portable. stilll the ultimate party box does seem good for any ware an extintion cord can reach. just hook a 1100 watt generatror up and use that witht he party box if ur like at the beach or camping or some ware theres not a plug.
Best money I’ve spent in long time rocks my neighborhood lol get compliments on the daily lol😊
1700 bucks, were you high when you ordered it?

Going to be looking at ALL the JBL stuff in 2 weeks when Prime Day hits 😂
You think this speaker will be discounted more than what it already is by then ? I want one but I’m worried the price may just go back up.
@qthebaddest627 According to this website, the Ultimate is at the lowest price on Amazon its ever been. Currently $1270. Just hard to say if it will go down more on one of the Prime days coming up. I've been looking at the Partybox 1000 too, that one looks almost as good, just a bit more affordable
bro definitely got a flip 5
Ended up getting the Partybox 310. Bigger ones weren't on sale. That being said, worth the price and was more power than I needed
I think the best party box overall for sound and size is the jbl 310 it’s amazing ❤
Good choice. It's tough to go wrong with the JBL lineup.
I agree the JBL 310 is the best with built in battery really love mine 😊
jbl 310 looses it's volume when using it every day on full volume I work in the shearing industry in order to hear the music over the shearing machines you'll have turned up full
I took my 710 I kept the volume just under half and she pumped but carrying it mmm let's say she's staying home from now on
The startup light show is TOO kool.
I'm pretty sure, If you were their you would feel the music and bass.
That definitely would create a club experience.
Especially With the right lighting and set up and other surround systems you put around to add to the music.
You can make and create your own experience.
Yea I can feel the bass
i remember at best buy some young dudes plugged in there phones playlist into a partybox n cranked it,they saw salesmen running over and flee`ed ...lol
@erickort1987 Yeah, now they limit the max volume on the displays. I think they turn the Sony display up higher than the JBL.

That thing is amazing, but I'll stick with my smaller speakers. I currently have a JBL Flip 6, Pulse 4, Charge 5, and just ordered a Extreme 4. Hell yeah I going to buy that 1 big giant Bluetooth speaker 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I like it but I want one to go !! That holds charge , not just a wall plug 😢
An 1100 watt speaker that comes with a tiny power cable like that is only a 100watt
@jamiealite That is a good point, at least from a car stereo perspective. I would definitely like to know what the unbiased truth is on this. I know for sure this speaker is putting out some power, but 1100w, not so sure. The LG CK99 claimed 5000w. Imagine that one.
Niciodată 1100w. Faceți reclame pentru necunoscători. 😂
Lol your kettle is 2.2kw do you worry about the cable size of that ?
This speaker on Dumbnail looks like Burj Khalifa🏰 by the way is huge, even real size for a portable speaker category.
I currently own the 310 and I love it so much I would get the bigger version if it came with a battery like the 310, I think JBL are selling themselves out of more business in not offering battery versions above the 310, which is a real shame.........
I think the issue is battery capacity vs battery life for the weight. The 310 is just the right size with the right sized drivers to make it work with a battery. Pretty brilliant setup, but the as the speakers radius increases, the area increases as the square of the radius. For example a 6” driver has an area of 36 but a 9” driver has an area of 81. So, very quickly you run into diminishing returns as area grows with the square of the radius and you cannot outrun increasing speaker size with battery if you have any notions of maintaining a manageable size.
I hope that makes sense, JBL runs into crushingly diminished returns with size on portable units, and I haven’t even talked about amplification demands on battery draw with larger and more numerous drivers.
If battery tech takes a big leap in the future then absolutely I think we will see larger units, but that’s a big “IF” in the foreseeable future.
Pairing a larger JBL Party speaker with a battery backup/solar storage device like Jackery, Anker or ecoflow is probably the best bet IMHO. 👍
I don't think you understand how much more power is in the 710 and also the ultimate. To make those have a battery these things would be humongous
@@flickboogers9325 okay lets say this then seeing as you are talking about power look at the tesla car that can beat porsche off the line and runs off batteries, now tell me again I cannot have a large bass speaker on batteries, come on get with the program.
@@BasJon we're talking about a portable speaker not cars. I'm not saying JBL can't make a battery operated 710 but if you look at the design of the speaker everything would have to change would be too much money for them.
@@flickboogers9325 Well I was just using the car as comparison as battery power has changed and I am an electrical engineer and I know its possible to make a battery pack run the 710 for around 4 to 6 hours on half volume, of course changes would need to be made, the point I making is if there was a battery verion of the 710 I would buy it and swap from my current 310.
Good afternoon, can the bass and subbass of this ultimate partybox compare to the bass and subbass of some car stereos? In fact, as many say, the bass and sub-bass of the partybox ultimate are heavy, deep and very strong?
The bass that the ultimate puts out is very good and will definitely compare to some car stereos. I am not sure if it goes all the way down to 20hz since it's specs list 30hz as the min. But others have played a 20hz frequency on it, and you could hear it. It is surely capable of some deep bass.
As I said in other comments I can't help but compare everything to my old car stereo of 6 x 15" Orion XTR Dual Coils running off a modified Orion HCCA 2100 cranking out 1000 watts of pure physics defying power.
Hopefully, that helps to explain my high expectations for these party speakers.
So, coming from me, the Ultimate hits, and I am keeping it.
In a plastic housing, not a chance. They're good at what they do, but cars and homes are very different structures. You'll probably feel it, but that's not gonna make your eyes shake.
Will my neighbors like it, is the question I have…..
Be sure to invite them over for the inauguration. Just let them know it's BYOB.
They will be banging on the walls it's that good😂
More bass … this or the 1000? Thanks
@@jasonlunsford9593 The Ultimate takes the prize since it can handle higher volumes without loss of bass. The 1000 hits pretty hard at low volumes but if you turn it up too much the bass suffers.
They are good for the lake or the tent
I have a pair of Electro Voice interface D series 2 speakers that would laugh at those things
Super❤❤❤❤❤🎉
Laughs in W-King 💪
Harbinger and Ulto are better for the money. I gotta have at least 2000 watts per speaker.
Hello, what is the name of the power transmitter that we plug the power cable into to operate this product in an open area? What does it do and how many watts are required to get a good sound?
Hi, I am not sure how you would power the Partybox Ultimate from a portable battery if that is what you are asking. But, after a quick search I did find one post talking about the speaker someone suggested a portable power station such as this one.
amzn.to/3VqkELC
I am not sure just how much power you need or what spec portable power would work best. Hopefully this helps.
the thing he pluged it into is called an extension cord. make sure its a heavy duty one or it could cause a fire. well it does say 1100 watts on the box so at least that. you could hook the power cord into a gas generator make sure it can put out at leas 1100 wats you would probably want a generator that puts out more then that. with an extension cord. a battery bank would be quieter but it would have to be pretty big battery to get any significant play time. espessaly if ur jamming at high volume wich would consume more power. is pretty much common sense.
also a quick google search gives this info - The common household outlet, known as a duplex receptacle, is typically designed to handle 15 or 20 amps of current at 120 volts, yielding a maximum capacity of 1800 or 2400 watts, respectively. This capacity is suitable for most everyday appliances and devices such as lamps, chargers, computers, and TVs.
---- so basicly if you dont pull more then that from an outlet you cant start a fire but then again breaker boxes are a standard thing and are designed to automatically pop the switch into off if it gets too hot or draw too much power. it can be preatty ez to draw that much. especcaly if you have tons of stuff on one line.
--- somone with a 1000 watt gaming computer and running this jbl speaker you could easily blow ur fuse at max load if they are both on the same one.
perfect for the car lol ^,^
Lets call it the neighbor Quaker 3000 hey shut up down there will ya😂😂
You can send them noise canceling earplugs and party on.
That thing must be loud but ya i know
take that bad boy and put it in the corner and you will get almost double the bass. it be like that
For real, if you place any of these JBL's in a corner the bass gets a massive boost. The Ultimate in the corner makes my entire house shake. It is crazy.
If you knew that pad, the effect sounds pad. You can just actually like make the song more fun.
@JulianTorres-hk7oq I did not really show it enough in the video. But I had lots of fun playing around with that effects pad. I really liked the drums, and they actually dropped some bass. It was definitely super cool, and if you really know how to use it, I bet you can do lots more.
wow 😮
I mean it's cool and all for teenagers bedroom but it's never going to sound as good as a good set of speakers with stereo separation.
You may be right about that. But I plan to put this to the test at my 1st opportunity.
How many watts of portable power station should I use outdoors to get full efficiency from this device?
at least 2200w
Question if I get 2 of these and put them on my deck will I piss all my neighbors off and will I get alot of visits from the Five 0? That's my goal 😂 if it works

so you are saying that the bass is not good? which means its better to just get 320 right?
The bass is very good but only up to a point. It seems to automatically decrease once you hit around 75 to 80 percent. This may be a safety feature, so you don't blow the Woofers.
With the bass, what I meant is that some people may expect this to hit like some crazy hair blowing bass, but it's just not that kind of speaker.
I used to have 6 x 15" in my car when I was young, so I tend to compare everything to that.
The Ultimate definitely hits and kills all the other speakers I have tried besides the CK99. It will be a huge difference from the 320.
