i remember watching him and russel morris live when i was in grade 5....my dad made me go and i was protesting so much against it....today i look at my dad and thank him for bringing me up with real music that was sung for the love of it and because they enjoyed it not for todays music which is all about money and fame. So thank you for posting music..that no matter what can make me smile and think of good times that are in the past where all true good things lay

I will never forget Caddy at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Lorne 1981 or so. The room held 400 but could fit 600. It was packed with 750 I know as I was on the door, people were actually hanging off the wooden rafters before he came on stage. Out he came. One man and a Piano and some backing drums I thought hmm hows this going to go with no band He began with some modern covers that he thought the 18 year old audience would like But people started shouting for his classics after 2 songs. So he said and I will never forget it "oh you kids like the old stuff" And then began the best two hours of our lives. There was a layer of dust bouncing off the stage two inches in the light. He made the electric Piano levitate In the end Angelo had to kill the power to get him off or risk losing his license. Caddy was staying up stairs and the last sight of him was at the top of the stairs. He was waving and bowing and the floor in the reception area at the base of the stairs was covered with 200 punters who had heard him but didnt make it in to the band room, on their knees kowtowing to him. I guess you had to be there.
Been a fan for decades! Am off to see Brian live along with Russell Morris in Launceston, Tassie on 21st June 2009 ...last saw these two guys live way back in the 70's!
There is no denying he definitely has an awesome singing voice... however trying to sing along with this old classic here is almost impossible. Still, I couldn't love this song or the artist anymore than I already do.xx
Thank you it's magic ❤

Good on ya Kimbo. Cadd has always been my favourite and a great influence on my playing. I'm suprised he doesn't tour Adelaide.
As much as I love John Farnham, I like this song better when it's coming from Brian Cadd, seeing as he wrote it.
