man thanks for teaching me, im trying to understand the frame data and i see why its important to know when its time to or not to press buttons. when its in slow motion it makes it easier to understand but matches happen so fast, i make a lot of stupid mistakes. Dope videos

Watching Kenpi play is so fun. His choices and baits are incredible. I just picked Ken as my main on a whim, but watching them play him made me stick with Ken.

@@andrew_ng first of all that''s fucking daigo umehara you're talking about, second of all it seems like literally everything in the the breakdown went over your head (most likely because you don't understand what's going on), third of all daigo here won the match

    • @neru9347

@@supersabir4451 as much as i respect daigo, Sonic boom won the game not him. Ken inputted an EX Hadoken within Vtrigger. It should beat any projectile coming his way, but were talking about guile and his bullshit fast startup multi Fireball Vtrigger. He inputted It after Ken and it still came out quicker. Thats some top tier level bullshit.

Ya’ll should read Seth Killians arcticle Dominantion 101, it’s a classic FGC article written around 04, it covers the mind of a scrub and their excuses. This is a prime example, calling a zone character a spammer is hilarious and one of the oldest memes. You play your characters strengths, Zangief “spams” SPD, Ryu Cr.mk & Hadouken, Chun Li St.Hp & Ex legs, Honda’s Headbutts, Laura’s electricity & command grab, Cammys Spiral Arrow, Seths Axe Kick, Uriens Mirros & Headbutt, Kens vskill mixes & tatsus, and I could go on with every character. “Spamming” doesn’t work in high level play, if Daigo was just spamming he’d get jumped in on and lose 9/10, especially since jump-ins are so OP in SFV. Everything is calculated, FBs/SBs require the understanding of spacing and controlling that spacing. Guile’s normals are very slow, if his SBs weren’t strong then he’d be a useless character. If Ken didn’t have fast normals and had to rely on his Fbs, he’d be a useless character. These are simple archetypical characters in fighting games, they are being played to their strengths. Would you say Fuudo’s Poison is a fucking “spammer” cause he uses her whips to keep his opponent zoned out? Lol

This is just one man's opinion, but I think that your use of official move names for command normals makes things more confusing than if you used more standard FG notation. It's especially a problem when there are charge characters in your clip, because keeping track of charge is so important. Unless they are a Guile player or are very experienced in the matchup, I doubt that the average viewer knows off the top of their head whether or not Guile loses back charge doing "Burn Straight," or which direction you hold for upside down kick. I certainly don't. It's true that anyone could search for that information online, but personally, if I'm on RUclips watching highlights and breakdowns, I don't want to have to leave the page and consult my notes in order to figure out what's happening onscreen; that's the whole point of a breakdown video.
