1st house you could tell had so much life. You could almost picture the past when it was filled with what seems a good size family at one time. Then sadly time marches on. The family members leave either through passing or moving away. And memories are all that’s left. Thanks Kappy 👍
Some homes, they just have a happy air about them...Like you just know that these were happy people and the home feels less sad ect.. Almost like they stepped into eternity and Heaven and the home accomplished it's job, housing a family and now its resting..
That has to be the most beautiful "summing up" explanation of an abandoned house I've read. I'm going to think of this every time I see a house that is sad especially, to make the vibe in the video feel good again.
That first house... What a lovely old home! I was really expecting the decay to be much worse. Everything is in remarkably good condition for being abandoned for roughly 50 years! Many of those furniture pieces could still be salvaged and restored to usable condition again.
2 houses, a real treat. Both were nice. Loved the woodwork and furniture in the 1st house. Wow! 2nd house not so good shape. Both need saving. Couple of gems Kappy. Shame, beauties.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh gosh Kappy! I love everything about the last houses you’ve brought to us. I always love them more, even when it’s sad, when items are left behind. It gives you a glimpse into how owners lived. Thanks Kappy! You’re the BEST!😊
The wind on the day you were in the first house added such cool element to that segment of the video! I love imagining all the live lived in these old homes, fragrances of suppers cooked flowing through them, laughter of the families.
Kind of sad to see these places look like that. But they had to have been well built to survive all these years. Too bad someone didn't repurpose the antique furniture.
I liked that first house. Looked solid and mostly saveable. Second place looks they ran out of cash for the remodel. Sad could have been nice . Thanks, Kappy
The 2nd house is in bad shape. The first one with all the antiques was beautiful. Love that dresser with the mirror that was leaning. Thanks for sharing and you have a great day with safe travels
At the beginning of Kappy’s wonderful videos, I always look for that one old tree that you just know hugged the home within its branches for the entire existence of the home.
That is called a Box Grand Piano or Square Grand Piano. These predated the Grand Pianos we know today and werbuilt in the 1800s to early 1900s. These valuable antiques are highly sought after today, as their compact size fits more easily in many newer homes than a big Grand Piano.
All that beautiful furniture, lost to time. The 1st home had loads of great pieces of furniture. Just hate seeing it decay. I love the 1st place. 2nd home isn't but just a few years before it just falls in on itself. You were lucky to at least get to film it before mother nature takes it back. Another great video Mr Kappy! Thanks for taking me along!!!!!😊😊😊
Your first house was pretty. Surprised all those heaters were still there. I wish I could have a couple of those old iron bed. We had some growing up. Thank you for taking us along. Be safe
Hi Kappy, I want to say that the second piano is actually a Hopi cord I might have spelled that wrong but yes I seen it in an old Vincent Price movie. Great videos 🎃
There is no way I’m the only person that thought that was a sandwich sitting on the 1st piano!?! I am watching on my phone, but still…..haha!! I had to grab my phone and zoom in. Of course once I grabbed the phone, I could tell it was a book but it sure did look like a sandwich at first. Thank you Kappy for taking us along on your adventures. I love seeing the old house!! 💜
I always get that thought of how all that “stuff” is so sentimental to those that walked there before. Kind of sad in many ways. Then I think of all the sentimental “stuff” I have … and how I need to really purge.. Gosh If I pass before my brothers do, they’d probably dig my back up & kill me, when they see all the sh&t I left behind lol!
Looks good so far,got some neat furniture, antique too,I don't like to think good wood furniture go to waste, they had wood heat and I saw a enamel oil circulater, that other one was oil circulater too,sad to see probably going to fall in,this is a good one Kappy
Hi Kappy 😄 Very good remnants of the first place. Nice layout. My mom lived in Kansas for a little while in her youth, and so a little later when my parents were married, my Dad played in Country/Western,Swing bands doing gigs, and he’d sing “Kansas City” He had a beautiful voice, much like Jim Reeves. Anyway the first house had precious times there, Simple but sometimes friends will travel a long way for a visit, like seeing the couch near the piano 🎹 Probably had picnics outside, with company that probably stayed for weeks in visiting. Thanks for the travel down mystery roads ❤👍🎶
Wow. Great double-feature vid! I especially loved the wind through the first house - the tattered curtains and their shadows, and the moving shadows of the tree limbs and leaves from outside. It really added to the desolate feeling of the abandoned home. I also thought that first house had lots of staging by photogs! Some of them were kind of interesting. The records seemed to have a rather deliberate “haphazard” feel. Speaking of records, I believe that one might’ve been “Show Me The Way To Go Home.” If it’s not already in your library, check it out. I think you’ll like it! 😊
What great old farmhouses. You can just smell the good cooking coming out of those kitchens, see kids sliding down the bannister, or-and l remember!-falling down those steep, HARD wooden stairs! Wish they wouldn't tear the fireplaces apart, and put in those ugly heaters. I know,, more efficient, but still... Thanks, Kappy-great, as always! 🌻

So interesting. Nature is slowly taking over. I imagined someone sitting in a chair and playing that guitar. Children laughing and playing in the yard. Running down the stairs at Xmas. House has seen a lot of lives.
The second piano 🎹 could be worth a fair amount of money if it was restored. The Regina Steamer Carpet Cleaner! I remember those commercials. That house looks really solid. Just love that pink chair! They don't make furniture like that anymore. Or houses, as most of us on this channel would agree. The wind blowing through this house was a great touch for me, although of course it's not good for the structure itself. Just something about wind and old abandoned houses.....
