This has just reminded me that mine has been held together by a cable tie for the last two years! 😂
😄
Sounds like it's a bit overdue for its cable-tie replacement, like my front air-shield tape that's holding it together :P
Excellent how to Video. I have an 09 Saab Conv. and this invaluable.
Doing this job tomorrow and this was a huge help! Thanks!
Thank you, saved me bags of time.
finally a proper video, with good quality, explaining well everything THANKS!
By the way, too much profesionality, if you would see how i open and get the access there xddd....
Thank you, good quality and well explained video
Thank you for this video and I'm thinking about taking my shroud off and painting it with some Rust-Oleum trim and bumper paint after a thorough cleaning and light sandpaper and clean my drains
Good to hear from you Phillip! I recommend light scuffing the plastic wiper cowl cover with a scotch brite pad and using something like forever black trim restore: amzn.to/3R4jfHh While you're in there make sure you replace the cabin air filter and clean the 2 drains!
@@WeakestofWeeks Thank you I will have a good one and a great weekend
Great video, so helpful - though I’m really struggling removing the last lock nut between the linkage and the motor, any tips? Did you have to stick it in a bench vice?
Turns out the answer was to swear at it a lot and it loosened itself in fear
Good time to change the cabin air filter.
Doh, I posted this before you mentioned it in the video.
No worries! Definitely a good thing to replace while in there 👍👍
were you able to just find the caps for the linkage or no? bc its jus the bearing thats broke on mine, i had to use weatherstrip to keep it in
Simple answer is no. Years ago I repaired one of these wiper linkages with a Dorman kit (amzn.to/3m5z5a1). It required modifying them to fit and in my opinion wasn't really worth the hassle.
that much care - I want to buy your car
