Absolutely. Rainbow were massive, although Stranger in Us All is criminally underrated, and Blackmore's Night have been a regular presence for over a quarter of a century. Most Purple/Rainbow fans are well aware of what he's been up to, which makes his inclusion here a bit strange.
Blackmore's Night two most played songs on Spotify have had over 10 Million plays. I'm sure that's way less than the most popular tunes by Deep Purple or Rainbow, but it's still a whole lot of fans. He didn't vanish, he just changed his musical style to fit his evolving interests.
Balckmoore has ZERO place on this list. When he left Purple the first time, he formed Rainbow - which certainly was NOT invisible. When he left Purple the second time, he formed Blackmore's Night (with his girlfriend later wife Candice Night), and later REFORMED Rainbow. THERE WAS NO VANISH IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM - Blackmore's NIght was a VERY popular act in Europe, where Renn music is a lot more popular.
John Deacon retired. Freddie Mercury's death had affected the remaining band members very deeply, but John became disaffected with the music business and retired. Although Brian and Roger have got a new band together and have repeatedly invited John to join them, he doesn't want to know.
Beat me to it. I watch a lot of videos with AI narration, and they're frequently hilariously ignorant of names (try watching Formula 1 videos, with all the non-English names involved in that!) Should point out I watch a lot of videos that happen to have AI narration... I don't deliberately seek out AI-narrated videos! In case anyone's wondering.
Mick Taylor: it took years to get it out of him, but he quit the Rolling Stones because he was getting sucked into their drugs and booze habit and decided to put his family first. 0
When Cream finished in 1969 one would have thought Jack Bruce a great singer, writer, and musician would have had a successful solo career similar to Eric Clapton in the 1970s. But he seemed to fall out of the spotlight.
Bill Wyman: the Rolling Stones were touring the USA in the spring of 1990 when Bill made some excuse to fly back to England to visit a drying relative. In fact, he was at Wembley Stadium for the FA Cup Final, offering his support to his beloved Crystal Palace who were facing Manchester United. It was then he developed a fear of flying which led to him quitting.
SIGNE ANDERSON left the group JEFFERSON AIRPLANE shortly after recording their first album "JEFFERSON AIRPLANE TAKES OFF" and was replaced by GRACE SLICK . The initial entry seems to suggest that it was GRACE SLICK and not SIGNE ANDERSON that left first !
Lol Tolhurst Original Member of THE CURE . He Left / Got Sacked from them .. Apart from PRESENCE A Shortlived Group he hasn't done Anything of Note Since ! 😮😮
He has had to overcome crippling alcohol addiction but has recently released a critically acclaimed album Los Angeles along with Jacknife Lee and Budgie.

Ritchie Blackmore did NOT vanish after Purple. He has been actively making music since.

Vanished from the rock world, anyway.
He formed Rainbow and they were very successful in the 70's and 80's.

@bricefleckenstein9666 I believe he's since re-formed Rainbow.
@@FrozenHero2010 I said that at the end of line 3 of my comment.

'Main Saint'? 'Ker-nopfler'? We still don't need to fear Skynet.

Came here to say exactly that.
Do they not proof listen before publishing?
@@jaytube2112 Evidently not. They probably wouldn't even realise anyway.
Peter Green was the best Fleetwood Mac
You need to do a little more research before you put together a mishmash like this….no to mention mispronounced names and incorrect album titles😢
Kuh-nopler. Apparently silent Ks are actually a thing, Ms. Narrator.
V/O by AI.
5:10 anybody else love that iconic Stones album Exile on Main Saint 😅
Syd didn't leave Pink Floyd.
He had gotten too drugged out and was FORCED out of the band.
The band just "forgot" to pick him up before a gig and carried on without him.
Mick Taylor: it took years to get it out of him, but he quit the Rolling Stones because he was getting sucked into their drugs and booze habit and decided to put his family first. 0
In addition to not being earning a fair amount for his contributions to the band.
I heard the same thing.
He was booted for being a Carlos santana wannabe
Bill Berry of REM would be another one. He left at the peak of their success and has stayed out of the spotlight since
This channel needs to retrain its reading software
Deacon didn't leave Queen because there was no more Queen after Freddie died.
Does anyone agree that this video is very crappy and full of errors
Yes Ai is not everything
Let's not forget Wyman got involved with a 13 year old
Yeah but it was OK then
@@dearbrad1996 are you demented?
In the Story of Big Sick Jim Martin why do you show us Pictures of James Hetfield ???????

Blackmore didn't vanish.
The Buckinghams, CCR, Steppenwolf, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Dave Clark Five
Mick Taylor was the one I really missed; essential to The Rolling Stones sound in those few years. He made the right choice for himself, though.
This young lady needs to pronounce her mid word “t’s” like grown ups, and learn that it’s Mark NOFLER (pronunciation).

Hey hey robot robot man hey robot. Now and then was released. Tighten your bolts and go listen to it.
Thr late john curlewski, formerly if styx
Meg White would have been a better fit for this list than Ritchie Blackmore.
Who puts this rubbish out?
Hey, the voice over girl speaks old English. Pronouncing the silent K in Knopfler.
I wonder if David Kanopler has Exile on Main Saint in his record collection?
🤣As always, The Great Recaps are on the ball! Exile on Main Saint won't be released until next year. Kanopler is the producer...

Steve Perry had throat problems

Where's Grace Slick?
Exile On Main SAINT? Who is this person?

This is poorly researched AI narrated bullshit. I stopped it during the Queen segment to rant here. I am off to watch a gardening video or the golf
