Your selection of underground bands is kind of obvious why they didn’t make it - mediocrity and homogeneity and too much thought into their not so terminally clever names. I recognise these bands and they are all kind of forgettable - kinda of like “Bread” (really? Is that a real name for a band Too bad David Gates, Jimmy Griffin, Robb Royer, Larry Knechtel.

I cringed when the announcer said Beau Brummells with the accent on Mel’s. The accented syllable is on Brum. Sorry to be nit picky.

This must be a US based list - certainly the Small Faces had massive fame in the UK - they were huge. Oddly, when Marriott left and formed Humble Pie, it was the other way around - the Pie were really big in the US, but not so much in the UK.
