If you check with a magnet you’ll find your “plastic” fenders are steel

@@lennygarrison6836 unhooked the motor cable, which is just a plug. Took off the derailer guard and gear shift, unbolted the tire, making note of the way the special washers sat, as this ensured the tire could spin freely. Pulled the tire off the rim, removed the inner tube, put the new one in and filled it with air and set the bead. Then just followed the previous steps backwards. There is a really good video on RUclips about it. I can link it later

Yes. I just bought a Lectric 3.0 after months of research. It cost a bit more than some but it is much more powerful and portable than others and will upgrade easily.
It came a couple days ago. Assembly was simple. It was assembled in box and unfolded easily. A few connections, and I was off. 10 to 15 mph is like flying. Reminds me of a Honda TS-185 dirt bike I had when 15 except for the noise. XP is silent.

I just received mine today, came with flat rear tire, damage frame in 3 spots, Damaged front left front fork leg, damaged handle for the frame fold, damaged front fender. Shipping box was fine. Not happy so far. Tried contacting Lectric with no response?? So there are 2 sides of every story. Not happy so far.

@@Thingswithwheels1 Thanks. So now that they have contacted me here is what there response was: NO RETURNS or REFUNDS on Damaged bikes. Doesn't matter if it was damaged before you get it! They want YOU to pay the return shipping cost (about a $100.00 ) and they will also CHARGE YOU $150.00 RESTOCKING FEE on a DAMAGED BIKE even if it's nothing to do with you! What they really want is for you to keep the damaged bike and work on the bike yourself and they will supply you with parts if needed in about 2 to 4 weeks time! This is unacceptable! Bike is un ridable right out of the box and your stuck looking at it until they decide when to ship you parts. There in the business to sell as many bikes as they can. NOT RETURN THEM. So what if you have frame paint damage as mine has? Tuff luck! People, DO NOT BUY A BIKE FROM THIS COMPANY. they do not support or back there product up if it arrives DAMAGED. You have a 50/50 chance of receiving a damage bike. My next step is to take legal action with the company.

I bought 2 bikes. Came last weekend. 3 of the 4 tires wouldn’t hold air. One had a bent frame latch. Called Lectric, took about 20 minutes on hold to speak with someone. They sent me a new frame latch (easy to install) and 4 new tubes. They have contracted bike shops, but let me take mine to a local place and will reimburse the cost, which I got done yesterday. Frustrating but they have moved quickly to resolve the issues. We finally rode them yesterday and like them, but not sure I’d buy again.

You probably have the hydraulic disc brakes on your bike if you just got it. The ones that came with my bike the mechanical disc brakes were terrible but I did upgrade to the hydraulic brakes and they work great.
I bought my wife and I an XP 3.0 this past May and I have no regrets.
I can understand the hate for this bike if you have problems with it but we got lucky with ours.

    It's.
That little just a bomb bolt. With the Spring. That holds the bike in half. It can open when you're riding. Then your bike will fall in half. That launch. It's not safe like you think.

I have tesgo and its similar but its got rear strut and 4 inch tires. Ride is very good but they use crappy batteries and failed after 1.5 years. Had to rebuild with lg batteries and now it climbs hills i was never able to do before when new lol. Quality batteries that can handle load, make a difference. 😅

    Hello,
Nightmare with Lectric XP 3.0. My bike came with a pre-popped rear tire, plus it won't start. I called and I asked about returning the bike when I spoke to someone on the phone shortly after receiving the bike. They did not mention that I only had 14 days to return the defective bike (not starting and flat rear tire). Instead of explaining the policy I was sent replacement parts which of course take time to get to me. By the time I received the replacement parts and installed them and the bike still doesn’t work I was past the 14 day period. Good customer service would have been to mention this policy to me when I asked about returning the bike. I have waited for over an hour just to talk with someone so I would expect to be given all the information I need after waiting so long. It appears that I may not have any option to return the bike at this point. It is completely impossible to send the bike back in it’s original packing materials per their policies on returns. You have to cut those materials off in order to unbox the bike. There is no way to remove it so that it would still be in tact. This policy is simply to make it more difficult to return defective products along with the completely arbitrary 14 day return policy. By sending me replacement parts and not mentioning this policy Lectric deprived me of my right to return the bike. Apparently I am not able to return my defective Lectric bike. Don't do it. Just don't. The Angryunboxer.

The company was great with the original Lectric XP. The 3.0 is nowhere near it by comparison. I have both. I doubt I'll be buying anything else from Lectric. They seem to have stopped caring about quality, and are now only interested in profit. There's a lot more plastic on the newer models compared to the original. A thin piece of plastic is all that holds the steering column in place.

You should read your manual to understand the functions and operation of your bike before doing a review. This review contains several inaccuracies.
If you read your manual you would have known how to switch on the display.
Could or may be operator error. NOPE! Definitely operator arrogance and ignorance. All ebikes are not the same. Don't assume you know because own another brand.
Also, you stated that the Lectric 3.0 has plastic fenders. NOPE! Every version of the XP - original, 2.0 and 3.0 has always included METAL FENDERS! You even tap on the front fender and clearly a metalalic sound is emited. The sond is not a cheap tin sound because the fenders are a thicker gage steel and rigid. Plus, the fenders are secured with bracing.
I could go on concerning other faux pas in your video but don't have any more time waste on a poor, less than accurate review.
Per your next it would be better to immerse yourself in the product, Larning the product to be reviewed will produce better results.

I feel like it’s not good for shorter people. I am 5’5” and I feel like the distance between the saddle and handlebars is long. I keep slipping forward

    • @Thingswithwheels1
      @Thingswithwheels1  Год назад

I'm sorry to hear that. A couple of things that might help: First, the handlebars have something of a "v" in them, perhaps you could loosen thar bracket and lean them back toward you. You would likely then move the brake controls forward a bit so they aren't on top of the bars.
Second, and I'll be doing another video on this topic in the coming weeks, you might benefit from the Lectric Comfort Seat. It is both thicker and wider, which I believe will force the rider forward a bit. It isn't installed yet so this is a theory, but I just took a good look before composing this response. Stay tuned and I hope this helps!

@@Thingswithwheels1 yes. I feel like the comfort seat forces me forward, therefore, I need to adjust my position often which is annoying.
