Ah! The cats are out of the bags (WHY WERE THEY IN BAGS?!) - I'm an obsessive cat person! However, I used to actually HATE cats. They were the evil spawn of the underworld (ok, that's pretty sweet), and they were just too dang smart for their own good. Also, they were immortal with all those lives? Anyway, this is the tail (haha) of how my entire world shifted when I realized I had been a closeted cat lover for decades. Get ready for some crazy adorable cute kittens!

Took in a giant stray I named Sadjinese... Everybody just called him Sadje or Satchi or some derivative... When he'd purr, it felt like someone parked a Harley Davidson on your couch and left it idling...
Silly bugger was as playful as a kitten, always tried to be careful about his claws (but occasional pricklies happen)... AND he weighed well over 30 pounds with big tufts on his ears and a tail about half as long as it should've been for the average tabby... He sounded like a stampeding buffalo when he "crashed the hallway" because I was running the electric can opener, and he KNEW what that meant... He didn't care what was in the can, either. If you were interested in a can enough to open it with that thing, it HAD to be food... so we shared (at least a little) EVERYTHING... from refried beans or tuna to green beans, spaghetti and sauce, even PLUMS...
He also KNEW everybody should be UP at 4 AM... period. AND he'd POUNCE YOUR HEAD if the batting at you, purring in your ears, or a string of meows didn't get your attention... It was 4 AM and YOU were meant to be UP... damnit!
Most times I LOVED that gigantic goofy furball... and sometimes I wanted to drown him in the toilet... My place was NOT the place to nurse a hangover in those years...
BUT if a cat doesn't OWN YOU then you don't have a cat. ;o)

For those who don't own cats, yes it's TRUE, kittens grow into their giant ears and its absolutely necessary for cats to have 20+ nicknames on top of their first and last name and title.

I love cats there are tons of strays in my neighborhood, there was one who used to go on walks with me .
I tried to take in about 5 , but only 1 wanted to stay an indoor cat.

I have always grown up in a cat household. I'm actually afraid of dogs when they bark, I will actually jump and hide behind my friends who just laugh at me.
Cats actually have glands that are kinda anti fear. It’s how they catch their mice. And probably why they calm nerves.
Not to mention the toxoplasmosis. They infect people into loving them.
I fell in love with my first cat the moment he arrived home. His previous owner, an old lady, had died a week ago and the poor thing was so scared he couldnt stop meowing. But he curled on top of me and purred the very first night. I named him Cataphract (starts with Cat-, haha).
He passed away a year ago and I will never forget him.
I loved this so very much! I adore the way you animate, and your kitty drawings are just so very precious!
I also had a Lorelei [different spelling, though], and she was also very long and tall. My baby was an oriental shorthair mix, with a beautiful calico pattern. Her best friend was her youngest neice, named Steve.

I have to admit......my whole family are full of crazy cat people (including me) and I cried a bit when you explained how cats are purrrrfect because my cats rarely do any of that to me.

My cat is 18 years old and has been around since my mom was pregnant with me I literally cannot imagine not having her and my other cat😻 they felt so they've helped me through so many hard times in my life I'm so thankful for them😽😸
When you started to list the cat qualities. I was just like yes beautiful furry babies. I a few cats myself... *cough 6* *cough*.
My first apt was a 300sq ft "studio" too, but I adopted a kitten the minute I moved in! That didn't stop me from being chosen by 2 strays over the 3yrs I lived there, which made it extremely crowded! I've had cats in my life from early childhood & couldn't imagine life without my furbabies!!

My mom is always like, "just delete the bad pictures!"

Awe little babies! I have two as well. 17 Raven and 7 Sepiroth. Raven is a widow and loved to cuddle and talk to me. Sepiroth is a little ptsd boy who loves his mommy and just started talking and cuddling as well. It’s nice to have babies to cuddle an torture with love!

The weirdest cat you would meet
I have a feeling I'm going to be a cat lady someday, but for now I have a dog and I absolutely love him, he's a big barker and his hair winds up everywhere but he is a good listener and probably the neatest eater as well as being one of the only true collies I know, and yet whenever I see him cleaning himself I think it to be very catlike even though he mostly acts like a normal dog in every other regard.
You sound a lot like me, completely and totally obsessed with cats. I have a 15-year-old feline daughter myself (who I constantly worry about these days, because of her age). Her favorite perch is my shoulder when I'm on my laptop (usually because I'm in a reclining position when I use it). Or my sister's bedroom, which drives me crazy, especially when I'm stressed and need her fuzziness.
I have a big ol chonker who's the BIGGEST snuggle bug, and his sister is what i call "a self petter" she just rubs her fluffy lil head against your outstretch hand and it's great!
Yup....me.....a cat scratched my eye and I still like them. I blame the Warriors book series for converting me.
Not to mention that two of my favorite horror stories (Pet Sematary & The Black Cat) focus on cats.
Despite the fact that I'm a dog person it's easy for me to see the apeal to cats. I've even called my dog Scarlett my daughter.

I had a goldfish that lived till she was 11. We used to have two, but one absorbed the other, grew twice as big and would tap her face on the glass to compete with the dog for attention. Mostly for food.

I have a huge, beautiful black cat named Severus. He's my heart and soul.
I was similar! For the longest time (up until we got our first cat) i was scared of them! I thought they'd scratch and hiss and wouldnt cuddle at all.. and then we got Murdoc! (yes like gorillaz) and immediately I feel in love with him! He doesn't scratch or hiss or bite and he's a huge cuddler (funnily enough only to me though). He's part maine coon too so he's pretty big!! Every night he sleeps in my arms like a baby and after he eats in the morning, he'll come back into my room and cuddle into my arms again and stay there until I wake up! I love him so much ;w;

yeah goldfish actually live as long as cats the world record for a goldfish is 42 years old and get as big as an american football :P so yeah taken care of properly fish even more so gold fish tend to live for a long time and get pretty big depending on the species

My most recent bday gift I got 2 LRG coffee mugs(also fellow caffeine feind over here) & they both had a pic of BugaBoo(my profile kitty)I randomly found him starving 2 death & he was mine. He gives the best snuggles & cheers me up when I'm sad. He even rubs my back when I'm in pain(but doesn't stick his claws out) he'e rescued my life twice. 1 of the times was from a knife-weilding maniac ex. But it was Bug 2 the rescue. I live 4 him & he lives 4 me. Also when I call 4 him I call Bugs...my bugs..my bugs. & u can hear him thumping towards me. He's wicked smart & I'd b so lost without him 🐈⬛🖤💋
I have one cat that is TRULY mine. we got her for free from a friend and I take care of her. The rest of them I claim to be mine but they are really mom/dads. I claim them anyway. I feed and water them and clean their litterbox so they're mine.

While most cats don't bring back the toy when playing fetch, Maine Coon cats actually do bring back the toy sometimes. They even are more likely to like water and a friend of mine said that Maine coons are dogs in cats clothing.

I love cat's I have 1 he is so cute and adorable and he is so much like or first cat and I love him so much
We only have one cat, Felix, just fyi, and I love him to death, but he is rather aloof. However, he loves playfighting, leading to a shredded hand sometimes. He's also abnormally small for a cat, so he's super easy to pick up and hug (something he absolutely loathes with a passion comparable to the fires of Hell itself) and he's just super adorable.

my kitties play fetch... with the paper in the trash can. And sometimes bugs/mice. But that just means they love me!
With the paper though, they literally bring it to me, then I throw it, they run after it like maniacs, then bring it back! Just like a dog!
I even have a dog too, and we've tried to teach her how to play fetch for SO SO SOOOo long, but she just doesn't get it.
My cats also like sitting on my shoulders, like when I bend down to attach the leash to our dog to let her out for a walk, our kitty bear-bear decides it's time to jump right on my bent body and murder me with his fatty-self, he's amazing though (He's the kitty in my picture)

Can confirm. I fought getting a cat for years because I am immunocompromised, and allergic. Cat Scratch Fever is a death sentence and even the litter box is not recommended. One kitty toilet and several sets of claw caps later, I got my Daisy. I walked into the shelter, knowing I wanted a black cat, a Bombay. They are in the top 5 for short, dense hair with little to no shedding and people are dumb, so true black cats sit in shelters for eons. When I walked into PAWS, none of the cats were interested. A lady was there with her two small boys, they couldn't get a cat, but even shelter cats need love, so they went every weekend to love the kitties. She picked up the one loafing on her leg while she browsed on her phone and set her on me... and Daisy went to sleep. My precious little Daisy Kitten (her official name is Daisy Kay, but I always call her Daisy Kitten), has been with me for 2 years now and I regret nothing. Even though I wasted all that time without a cat to love, I can only handle one cat, so I wouldn't have my Daisy. These things happen when they happen for a reason, and I am content with that. And I don't think I could love her any more than I do.
