These are gorgeous! Thank you for all the tips and little pointers! I coffie dye the papers but get a lot of rips, so will try your tip, thank you so much for the tips and for sharing, take care lovely x
Thanks Amanda. I've been wanting to try this. Your explanation is great. I appreciate you taking the time and stinking up your craft space to show us. Lol 🥰
These are amazing Amanda - the results are fantastic. But I’m so glad you made them into digitals for us to buy as really don’t have the energy to make these. So thank you very much appreciated xx
Hi, I have a couple of the same mats - I keep looking out for more, no luck yet. I do the same as you - patience is a virtue apparently! love the results, thank you for sharing xx
Thanks for sharing this, it's very generous of you to do so and appreciated very much. Wonderful idea. I've coffee stained papers but never would have thought of adding a decorative pattern onto them. Really clever and they look beautiful. I wonder if you could do the patterning with a regular stencil? I'll give a go I think. Thank you again. 😊
Oh my you are such an amazing person You are always so willing to share everything you know how to do. I love that. and I love this. Im wondering though if it would get some light resould if you put papers on top of the mat as well ????? Thank you so much for sharing now I have to go look for some plastic mats and thats kind of hard here in Iceland LOL
Someone asked earlier about that .. I said worth a try but I think it needs the air to circulate to get the pattern so if you put one on top it may not work well x
@@Scrimpingmommy ahhh maybe thats right. but anyway thanks again for showing us how this is done. Went looking for some plasmats today without any luck ;(
They looks great. I got them ones in a Asian odd and sods kind of shop. but am sure you can get them in Chinese supermarkets to. I also found one in home bargains it wasn’t a floral one but is a nice pattern it’s a round placemat. The ones with less holes work great as a stamp I have done a video useing them on a gelli plate but not uploaded yet. Xx
Very beautiful, Amanda. I cannot find any vinyl placemats or tablecloths that even come close to the beauty of yours. Are they all plastic/vinyl? I've seen some pretty fabric lace ones, but I just didn't think they'd work. First of your videos and I'm subscribing right now. Diane
Don’t wait for summer ha ha just need a dry day .. I check the weather on my phone ha ha ha ain’t got time to wait for Sun here it may never come this is England !! Ha ha h ha xx
Well the weight of the mat kinda helps and you need the air to dry out the liquid through the holes in the mat to get the pattern so if you put one on top I don’t think it would work. I mean you could try but my brain says no ha ha xx
Not sure if anyone will see this post but i just found packs of 6 vinyl lace placemats at The tablecloth factory online for under $10. Very good price... can't wait to try this!
An oldie but a goody 😊 I'm in the UK so now is a good time to batch some of these. Tyfs

Yeah it really does help and a mix of tea with coffee in or quite dark liquid helps and lots of patience to not lift the top layer too early xx

Hi Diane … yes these are vinyl .. I reckon it would work with lace ones .. or you can use stencils too . Thanks for watching and subscribing xx
Barry's tea here in Ireland 🇮🇪 😍
Your papers turned out beautiful Amanda. =^^=
Thank you so much! xx
They are indeed very lovely! And they really add so much to a journal, as you have shown in your projects. Janet 💕
Excellent tutorial Amanda cant wait for summer they dry in half an hour 😀

Love the papers, now can you put 2 more papers on top of those to get 4 out of it.looks maybe it would work .maybe not as defined as front side?
Well the weight of the mat kinda helps and you need the air to dry out the liquid through the holes in the mat to get the pattern so if you put one on top I don’t think it would work. I mean you could try but my brain says no ha ha xx
thank you sooooo much
You're welcome! xx
Amanda, have you tried using fabric lace, if yes, does it work as well ?
I have and it works to a point but the liquid seeps through so you don’t always get the same deffinition as the plastic matts x
@@Scrimpingmommy thank you.
May I ask where you got your vinyl placemats? These papers are lovely!
I had them gifted but I would try Amazon try patterned plastic placemats
