    Just wanted to stop in and say, this was a very well put together video. I am in IT, so didn’t ‘need’ to get taught how to do these things, but my general interest in the concepts and your delivery kept me watching to the end. Great video!

    Desktop version will work but only occupy unnecessary space since it's too big and the NAS is going to run without a need for the desktop or display. Great video

    I am also trying to setup a NAS using Pi5 but not sure where to find a NVME base or HAT for Pi5 in India. Could you help me out finding the HAT drive for Pi5?

    • @SmartHomeCircle
      @SmartHomeCircle  6 месяцев назад

      Getting a HAT or base in India is very difficult. You can buy it from pineberrypi.com but the cost is like 45$. Plus a Pi5 costs like 69$ + case + power supply.. You can buy a mini pc with NVme for about a refurbished i5 mini pc for about 110$ from Amazon india which is much more powerful and can run more apps on it..

      Ohh. I have seen this problem. I could never figure out why it happens. Usually I have noticed that if you set the shared drive and then change the configuration related to the user or drive sharing the permission gets messed up. Only fix I got was to format the drive and set up it up as a new volume.
      Hope that helps. 🙂

    Hi, first of all thank you very very much for this tutorial, it was a breeze following it. I've managed to install the Raspberry OS and openmediavault. But I'm stuck on the disk settings, I've plugged in an SSD I had lying around on the radxa top hat.
    Under the disk tab I only see the micro sd not the SSD. When I plug in a storage in the USB 3.0 port it gets recognized.

    how to connect ssh window command line to pi5

    • @SmartHomeCircle
      @SmartHomeCircle  3 месяца назад

      You have to first enable ssh for the user in OMV. For this go to users, then the user you will use to perform the ssh, click on edit and add then add the _ssh group to the user.
      You should then be able to ssh.
