Dope as Always. Dig your skills and the ROAD TO CHOPS. My wife and I (got her to watch your vids) love the vids. We even sat at dinner and viewed the TamTam vid. Continued success
I truly enjoy your videos!!!! You are inspiring so many people, keep on doing you. Drums were my first instrument, however, I could not get my mind and feet and hands to work together and independently of each other, lol. I then attempted Tenor Sax , which was not for me, and it is funny because my favorite musician in the world is a Tenor Saxophone player named John Coltrane, however, before, I quit music, the trumpet chose me, and it is my weapon of choice. I have not been practicing lately, however, it is my weapon of choice........ Keep on inspiring others
@@BryceChristopherHodge hmm I don't think its 16th-note rate either. Its triplets grouped in 5s. He was playing a triplet groove. Try playing straight triplets to his tempo and you find the beats are aligned.
@@paulifea7072 yeah, I think I mistyped it or something. I’m another comment I wrote a year ago, I said, “Yowza! Five-note grouping at the 16th-note triplet rate is nasty! 😃”
What it looks like to learn something new. PQ when u gotta a love for what you do it's not difficult just another level of greatness you achieve ;D #LeveledUp
Great attempt, Taylor! I was sittin here tappin at my desk tryna to figure that one out with you too xD Definitely closer to realizing it than I am. Great drummer and great vid. Thanks for sharing!
Yes, it seems like the 16th Quentrup trick. It’s not easy and I haven’t done it in a while. Out of practice. I’m a drummer turned Argentine Tango instructor years ago....which I think you should consider? Tango I mean, don’t give up drums. You were born to play. Love your show, Big “PQ” fan.
What I got from this, was. . . . para diddles. RLRRqRRL RLRRqRRL RLRRqRRL RLRRqRRL, Rights are played with kick here also. I go for the snare using my left, and throw in some accents (labled above as 'q'). Some variations I soon discovered: RLLRq, RLRLq. the possibilities are ENDLESS!!!!!! btw, Just discovered your channel! LOVING what I see.
So talented yet so grounded and humble. Never stop learning. -Blessings

Literally 👌
I still can’t get enough of the intro and outro beat🙆🏽♂️🙆🏽♂️🔥

Yes-yes! Make it your own.
It’s easy when you already know your way around the drums 🔥🔥🔥🔥gone head 👍👍u got it already
Damn i love that intro
That shyt hard aint it???
The underlying rhythm is 16th note triplets. But the pattern he’s playing is a 5-note figure, which is why it sounds so crazy.
GREAT LESSON!!!!!!
I'm gonna come to her channel in two weeks and she'll be shedding with Matt Garstka and Stix Taylor.
You are so pretty.

Good Luck Taylor as I completely agree with you that ain't no easy chop that Aron Smith has given you!!!
Love how you make these patterns Tayloristic!! Where in the world is Nate Townsley, Jr?? Wow, to see him here. That kid's licks...
Ah, the old sixteenth-quintuplets trick!
Quintuplets ?
It’s not quints exactly, it’s a five-note grouping at the 16th-note rate.
Well.. Aaron plays it at the 16-note triplet rate and Taylor plays it at the 16-note rate.

On point as usual
Vc tem um fã do Brasil 🤩
Carlos conley he's a beast
She said I don’t understand lol 🙌🏾❤️
awesomeness..is that a word??
It's double time love!
You go gurl!
5/8 still the groovignest of all time signatures. He superimposing 5/8 over 4/4
Actually he's fitting it into 5 sixteenth note triplets. Either way, it's meant to be a polymetric syncopation
Isn't it just a group of 5 ?
@@JGBDYT Yeah, the question is 5 of what? Sounds like triplets to me too.
... No it's straight sixteenth notes I think
You hear any flow change ? I feel like the whole groove is in sixteenth
You go girl
Keep drumming you're good real good like your style
Incroyable
