@Leftie319 yup, very much so, eh? The different ways you can kill bosses for alternate rewards and so much more! I'm assuming there's that same mechanic in this second game anyway.
A shame this game didn’t get nominated for more awards at the game awards. Truly a gem and a blessing in disguise

@@irsute8833 story wise sure. However chronos from the ashes is actually the first game. Then it’s remnant from the ashes. Then remnant 2
If you don’t care for story then watch a break down from chronos from the ashes, as that ties in with the story to remnant 1.

Btw this is the one and only game on PS where I went for the Platinum Trophy and got it.
Man this game was a highlight of 2023. If y'all havent played it alredy then please do so. It being relatively hard just makes it more satisfying.

@@cybertonto72It’s a Souls like…you go in expecting to ‘button bash’ you will get destroyed.
Not really true, there are difficulty settings in this and the lowest one is quite forgiving to those who don't like souls experience
@@voidlight6006 the lowest difficulty still isn’t necessarily easy though. All it does is reduce damage and health of enemies, if you can’t dodge then you can still get stun locked and destroyed. Even being experienced I go on the lowest difficulty to gear up a new character before jumping into anything higher.
This game was severely underrated in 2023 I recommend anyone that enjoys souls like games to give it a try it's really fun.

I started watching you because of my son back in the day of Battlefield 3 for tips and fun gameplay. He's now about to turn 23, and I'm pushing 52, so that's a long time. Seriously, you have the most diverse fan base that will watch almost any content. Guess that says a lot about you as a person, and gamer. Keep it real, make it fun, and continued success to you young man. ( please give a shout out to the Greyhounds for their football playoffs? )

Remnant 2 was game of the year for me in 2023. I am really glad you gave this game a go, Jack. You should definitely play the rest of the game, both main and DLC. It is a great co-op experience as well, so I would love to see a playthrough with someone like Tomo!

This has a extremely high chance of being my favorite game that comes out this decade. I seriously wouldn't be suprised if even Remnant 3 doesn't take me away from playing Remnant 2. I will be telling people if they haven't they need to play Remnant 2 years from now. I played completely solo until a month ago when I began my 1st apocalypse run but most of my time online has actually been hopping into new gamers games and helping them find all the secrets. It has been an absolute blast! A 10/10 must play is a understatement!
I dont really comment that much but Jack i just want you to know i watch almost all of your videos and they are always exceptional in quality. It's not even that you do anything different or outlandish. Its just honest, simple content. Love you man.

Absolutely love this game, has so much replayability and is just a blast to discover all the secrets in. I'm so happy they intend on supporting the game like this with more dlc, as I feel the game has even more potential moving forward and can't wait to see what the devs do.
If anyone is on the fence about getting this game, I whole heartedly recommend it if you enjoy adventuring and checking every nook and cranny in a game to find every bit of loot there is, with excellent combat/class systems.

This was an underrated game this year, it's missing something or needs something. I feel like it needs just a bit 'more' to do in the game so I'm glad to see them coming through with DLC. I wish the dialogue options were a bit more dynamic or that they had a vs mode of some kind but not much can get close to BG3. Otherwise very little complaints, the gameplay feels smooth and fun. The bosses, classes, weapons, worlds are all interesting and cool. Highly recommend it - I hope the studio and IP can endure to make a 3rd game on next gen elevating this concept even higher, that would be cool.

@@dwaynewashington8844 Yeah that would be awesome. Maybe even an escort mission like Overwatch. Having some random map events like Destiny does could also be fun. I would also like a mode maybe like The Finals where 4 teams of 3 get put into a map to shoot it out. Last survivor wins.
@@dwaynewashington8844 this game definitely needs some kind of endgame mode. it has mostly horizontal progression (leveling all classes, doing multiple runs in same regions to get all the items etc.), but needs some more vertical progression imo. you're fighting 90% low tier mobs. elites are too rare. scaling is also bad (upgrading weapons basically makes you weaker). at least they increased the max trait points with the dlc.
Yea i had a similar impression after finishing it. I was going in expecting a full on sequel but it really isn't...it felt more or less the same as the first game (which isnt necessarily bad because the first game was a gem imo), but yea your right it just felt abit lacking....needs more biomes, maybe more armor and yea...a horde mode would be fun as hell. All in all wasn't disappointed was still a blast to play...my friend and I played two campaigns simultaneously, id join him for a few hours, then he would join me etc etc..two different playthroughs, different bosses, weapons etc ya know. Although i feel like ive seen everything now. Continued support or a fully fledged sequel would be sick.

The lore is that the fae world and the humany world merged and now the fae hunt the humany ppl. Also the humany ppl sometimes go insane. The King referred to in the dlc had been "murdered" (actually just put into eternal slumber) in the original losomn area and you had to kill his murderer.
The Dran are “elves” and the Fae are literally the “goblins.” But what about Yaesha and N’erud? Losahm and Yaesha are my favorite biomes.
Can't wait to get back Into this game. Loved every second of it

This title is very underrated. Same with the first one. But It was enough to get this one made. It's the game in 2023 that has given me the most fun.

@@meiken417 It's for sure still fun as a solo game. Treat it a little like a souls game with guns. It's not quite as challenging as your usual souls games, although it starts getting there on the higher world difficulties, but between the variety of weapons you can acquire and the option for up to three player co-op if you want, its great fun either way. There is public matchmaking so you can find people fighting certain bosses or areas in multiplayer if you want.
wow didnt know a DLC was even in the works. I loved this game the first time i played the original part.

The massive upgrade in visual fidelity over the first game really made this IP go from low-tier indie to solid AA. If the first game had looked this good, then I'm betting this IP would have been a lot more popular by now.

Remnant 2 is so good. So many secrets and weapons and different biomes from forests to this victorian area to other sci fi areas. Which can be re rolled for new adventures. And it's 50 bucks. Absolute banger for the money. And it has an EAsy Mode and self revives, which are good for those of us like myself that aren't good at games anymore.
So glad I got it. Such a great game.
Aye if u want them harder difficulty rewards start a hard mode game and let people join you. They'll be super op and you'll be able to beat it quick. If u ain't try that already 💯

@@yungstiff810 Yea thats a good idea! I got to some veteran stuff cleared on adventure mode and was ok with it. NeRud was a pain in the dick but, I eventually got the plasma cutter and some others. May'be I'll try with an open game soon.

I downloaded this game and deleted destiny 2 a week later. This game was my destiny killer it just scratches that PvE itch like no other.

My only biggest complaint about this new DLC is the new enemy type, that is like a bit too tanky, spread poison and do soo much damage on you like it doesn't even seem right that new enemy type has soo much abilities and damage. Sure the challenge is required but still.

Honestly my first 4 5 hours of this game were hell on veteran solo i was so close to saying screw it and never playing it again but after you get over the hump and you get better gear level up your class get some good mods rings etc you truly appreciate how amazing this game is it's some BS at the start especially depending on what world you start at when your low level and have no good gear im so glad i kept at it and didn't rage quit games one of my favorites for sure

Absolutely cracking game. The final boss is ridiculous compared to everything else which seemed a bit daft (non souls player here lol). Need to play through this again to see all the variations of the levels 👍
