@Leftie319 yup, very much so, eh? The different ways you can kill bosses for alternate rewards and so much more! I'm assuming there's that same mechanic in this second game anyway.
Remnant 2 was game of the year for me in 2023. I am really glad you gave this game a go, Jack. You should definitely play the rest of the game, both main and DLC. It is a great co-op experience as well, so I would love to see a playthrough with someone like Tomo!

I started watching you because of my son back in the day of Battlefield 3 for tips and fun gameplay. He's now about to turn 23, and I'm pushing 52, so that's a long time. Seriously, you have the most diverse fan base that will watch almost any content. Guess that says a lot about you as a person, and gamer. I love how the developers know how bloodborne is so loved and they wanted to give us a similar experience with this game

@@irsute8833 story wise sure. However chronos from the ashes is actually the first game. Then it’s remnant from the ashes. Then remnant 2
If you don’t care for story then watch a break down from chronos from the ashes, as that ties in with the story to remnant 1.

For me, it's definitely GAME OF THE YEAR. No doubts about it.
Btw this is the one and only game on PS where I went for the Platinum Trophy and got it.
This title is very underrated. Same with the first one. But It was enough to get this one made. It's the game in 2023 that has given me the most fun.
For me it's between hohwarts legacy, baldurs gate 3, and this for my personal game of the year. Loved them all
This was an underrated game this year, it's missing something or needs something. I feel like it needs just a bit 'more' to do in the game so I'm glad to see them coming through with DLC. I wish the dialogue options were a bit more dynamic or that they had a vs mode of some kind but not much can get close to BG3. Otherwise very little complaints, the gameplay feels smooth and fun. The bosses, classes, weapons, worlds are all interesting and cool. Highly recommend it - I hope the studio and IP can endure to make a 3rd game on next gen elevating this concept even higher, that would be cool.
They need survival mode!! You and 2 others picked a map and go hard af in wave after wave
@@dwaynewashington8844 Yeah that would be awesome. Maybe even an escort mission like Overwatch. Having some random map events like Destiny does could also be fun. I would also like a mode maybe like The Finals where 4 teams of 3 get put into a map to shoot it out. Last survivor wins.
@@dwaynewashington8844 this game definitely needs some kind of endgame mode. it has mostly horizontal progression (leveling all classes, doing multiple runs in same regions to get all the items etc.), but needs some more vertical progression imo. you're fighting 90% low tier mobs. elites are too rare. scaling is also bad (upgrading weapons basically makes you weaker). at least they increased the max trait points with the dlc.
Yea i had a similar impression after finishing it. I was going in expecting a full on sequel but it really isn't...it felt more or less the same as the first game (which isnt necessarily bad because the first game was a gem imo), but yea your right it just felt abit lacking....needs more biomes, maybe more armor and yea...a horde mode would be fun as hell. All in all wasn't disappointed was still a blast to play...my friend and I played two campaigns simultaneously, id join him for a few hours, then he would join me etc etc..two different playthroughs, different bosses, weapons etc ya know. Although i feel like ive seen everything now. Continued support or a fully fledged sequel would be sick.

The game is amazing
The massive upgrade in visual fidelity over the first game really made this IP go from low-tier indie to solid AA. If the first game had looked this good, then I'm betting this IP would have been a lot more popular by now.

I downloaded this game and deleted destiny 2 a week later. This game was my destiny killer it just scratches that PvE itch like no other.
I finished remnant 1. Actually really enjoyable. Hard but not ridiculously hard. Good balance of things I like
Just got it on sale having a blast. Will be doing a full playthrough on my channel too.
Gunfire Games got screwed at the VGAs in 2023
My only biggest complaint about this new DLC is the new enemy type, that is like a bit too tanky, spread poison and do soo much damage on you like it doesn't even seem right that new enemy type has soo much abilities and damage. Sure the challenge is required but still.

I love that in this game, we encounter with many "human" n much darker than From The Ashes
Still didnt upgrade to PS5, not enough catalog to make the switch personally but Remnant 1 is my top 5 games ever and I really can not wait to play this. It will be my first game when i switch.

There's so much more to explore. You just blasted through it missing all the dungeons and side areas. I'd definitely this game more attention, it's so good.
What a shame, my best friend and I played and beat this game and it was amazing yet , it doesn't even get mentioned in the game award nominations yet, a remake and Spiderman that we get for the third time does.

I bought this and really liked it but I put it down when so many other games started coming out. I really need to get back into it.
All the lore of this world including everything to do with the king and why it's like it is with all the peasant people is explained in the base game. Shame you aren't able to play it fully there's so much Hidden depth within the game

Absolutely cracking game. The final boss is ridiculous compared to everything else which seemed a bit daft (non souls player here lol). Need to play through this again to see all the variations of the levels 👍

im going through the first game right now and this game is perfect
The Faries fight the people because they come from different worlds. In the world of the faries there was a king. This king ruled over the Faries with magic. In their world it made him omnipotent. His magic worked on rules he made up. The Faries, evolved from predators, and were aleays aggresive and killed for sport, well anything, even each other. To save the world of the Faries the king made rules to prohibit killing, to make sure no Farie could ever forge a weapon that could kill him, and that no Farie would ever try to artack him. So the Faries conjoined their realm of existance with the realm of existance of these people. At first it was only through doors created by a magical Quill but over time the worlds destabilized and started bounding to each other completely. The people hate the faries, because some powerfull faries started giving them horrible nightmares in sleep and were aggresive. So the people became overprotective and racist. That is why the infight.. oh and the reason why they conjoined the worlds was to have the people create a weapon and supply an assasin to kill the king, since his rule said nothing about different worlds.
