Well the bulls were having a field day today. It's a welcome site to see Mr Somopane being such a grand guy. He is subtle, but then his size is warning enough for Zindoga. Obviously we humans only see the surface of what is truly going on. Somopane knew he had to intervene with Zindoga cause he saw the much more subtle signs of possible mischief or too much rambunctious. I have a sight hesitation when I see Jabu with my Fishan. Fishan and him just hanging out is nice,,as long as Jabu doesn't start something. I realize Fishan will start sparring also, but it's different in context when Jabu starts the sparring. I didn't know Bubi was a loner? She is a elephant that has several emotional or psychological issues. In that sense we humans and elephants react to trauma in similar fashion. Nice camera work, and nice length in video. Mucho appreciated.
Bubi looks so small next to Jabulani! It’s so pleasant watching everyone enjoying the Dam. I really enjoyed Tokwe hanging out with Bubi, she (Bubi) is such a loner it nice to see her tolerating Tokwe’s company. ❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦

It is so uplifting to see the Herd elephants simply being able to just be elephants in their own right. They seen so happy and content and relaxed. They appear to be so vibrantly healthy. They are so well looked after and treated with such respect. No doubt that leads to their sense of well being.
Never noticed those big knots on Bubi's rear before, hope she's ok. Somopane looked at one point to be giving Mambo an earful. I love how he went back to his own peaceful side of the water, like he was done with that kid Mambo. Kumbura off to the side but still keeping a watchful eye on her Khanyisa ❤
I wonder if Bubi splashed Jabulani on purpose, having a bit of fun 😁 Another peaceful, soothing scene at the waterhole nicely filmed by Godknows (what a great name!) 🙏 That was interesting, seeing Somopane with Zindoga, the way he 'moved' him to the side of the herd to have a 'little chat'. Little Miss Pinkylicious didn't stay pink for too long 🤗❤🐘❤
Zindoga turned his rear towards Somopane, as a sign of "not in a mood to fight with you". I see often this approaching rear side first, as a sign of coming in peace, or submitting.
Well done, Godknows! Wonderful teacher. Excellent videographer. Methinks we see an interesting project on the horizon! 🤔 I love that we get to enjoy the unique personality and motivation of each member of the herd.
I've often wondered how it worked with the those male elllies would normally get kicked out for being too boisterous in your herd. To watch the older males take care of the situation was awesome to see. They have created their own new family dynamics their with each taking on their roll marvelously. 🐘
The Herd seems like a human family with all the different relationships and interactions. There is obviously a great deal going on with these elephants that we humans are only beginning to appreciate.

Birth control. Also, I don't know how they lived in Zimbabwe, but it's my guess this herd being rescued elephants, never (before this) lived that way they could banish the bulls..So they adapted.

Lundi is in great health :) she is often chasing after her son Mambo with Khanyisa following her but she doesn’t enjoy swimming as much as the other elephants. We will share more Lundi moments soon
i love seeing Mambo and Pisa playing together they are always playing and get along very well as childhood friends they are very close in age , its just so cute watching them playand its alwsy great to see our sweet Fishan enjoying himself, we love you Mr Fishan a long happy healthy life to you sweet boy
It is amazing how fast Khanyisa is growing and learning. She is starting to tower over her fence. I'm glad the tree will grow back foliage. She was playing with her carer by going after the other trees on her way out to meet Jabulani and go with her herd

There are only 6 bulls.I have read recent research that shows that bulls don’t live solitary lives alone as once was thought.

Fenya died in the nursery. Apparently she was just too long in a snare for her to recover. They gave her blood and drips but it couldn’t save her.
