Thanks so much for this videos. For those that say you don't have to do this, with certain models of this years of Mazda 5 you definitely do have to do this. There is no way to gain access to the socket without doing it.
I am aware some years you can replace them with out that much work , however it was not possible here unless you have very small hands.unfortunately that’s not me. Thank you for the comment and I agree , way to much work for light bulbs
What year is this Mazda 5? I have a 2009 MZ5 and the low beams use H7 bulbs with a rubber boot. I have replaced them at least 3 times in about 130k miles. Now I went to install LED bubs and lost one on the 'buckles' inside the headlight housing. The only way I can get it out is to remove the headlight assembly. Removing the bumper cover in order to remove the headlight assembly is a major hassle. Replacing the bulbs on your unit looks like a big project. Way to go Mazda! Insane! I replaced the headlight assemblies in a 2004 Honda Accord and a 2003 Ford Taurus. They took about 10 minutes to remove and 10 to install. Real easy. Mazda can bite me! LOL
I have an '09 also; you don't have to remove the bumper but getting the clip back on when coming in from behind (low beam) is a nightmare. Probably easier to remove the bumper, especially if you want to replace both at the same time.
I have big hands and changed bulbs. Mine has h7 bulb and the clip is on 1 side. Watched some videos to see what the clip even looked like and used camera on phone to see. It is like a safety pin push in and to side to get it unclipped but hard to do when you cant really see it. It is dumb design but it is doable without doing what you did
@@ranflee1 yours is a different design it seems. Not sure what those bulb are hid? Also i was trying to find where vent hose sas on mine because seems like condensation is inside mine. Not sure if the vent is clogged.
This video pretty much shows everything you need to know on removing the bumper. It isn’t very hard. You may want to have some replacement clips and screws on hand in case one or two get or are damaged.
Right now we plan on doing the camper build. Most my videos are decided by something that’s needed on the vehicles. Is there something specific you would want to see.
Can you come do my lights on my Mazda 5 😔 it’s set up just like yours and I have a low beam out on driver side thanks for the video been trying to find one that had my lights and all the rest were different yours is just like mine just a 2010
There’s two white plastic screws on the back of the housing . You can either use a Philips screw driver in the hole on the side of it or an 8 mm socket to turn them. I don’t have a video on it but found this one . Check it out (Keep in mind the Mazda 5 is a little different) ruclips.net/video/Rd8Lzg6V-IU/видео.html&si=NAYVOFVp-oagYtMJ
I wish you would have a more detailed video on how to remove the bumper and headlights, which screws to remove and in more detail. I also have a 2010 Mazda 5 and had to take it to a local auto shop to get 1 low beam HID bulb replaced! Yes they had to remove the bumper and headlight, final bill was $ 298.00!! Totally insane!! Thank you Mazda engineers, totally crappy design!!

I have replaced low beam bulbs on my similar 2008 M5 and didnt need to remove the bumper. Way too much work here.

This is also an 09. It wasn’t as bad as you think. Pretty easy. Just time consuming, about an hour and a half

That’s awesome. I just could do it.

I believe it is cause there are some Mazda 5s I can do easily.
Looking forward to doing the camper build. That’ll be a fun project. Stay tuned should be coming soon
Can you make a video show how to remove and replace just the bumper
This video pretty much shows everything you need to know on removing the bumper. It isn’t very hard. You may want to have some replacement clips and screws on hand in case one or two get or are damaged.
Will you be doing more Mazda 5 videos. I wish there was more on yt but there isn't sadly

Also putting a video out on a brake issue

Can the high beam alone be adjusted? asking because my high beams are at the same level as the low beam.
No. They are the same unit . The high beam is supposed to be brighter though.
Super film instruktażowy.
Thank you
We thought about doing that on mine where the roof is rusted.
It is kind of a cool look

Sorry about that . Sometimes I don’t realize I don’t have something’s in the video. Thanks for the input, and yes a really bad design.
