Top "10" At Home Band Exercises Everyone Should Be Doing

- The reality is we won't be going back to the gym anytime soon. With that being said band workouts are here to stay. So today I am going over my top 10 at home band exercises. You can pick and choose and make your own workout or you can do three sets of each in the order I give them in this video. The most important thing is you do an exercise that you feel working. Also make sure you try to get outside if you can. Thanks for watching.

Good news all - band packs are going to be available again by end of day at Elitefts.com. I am reassembling band pack. We havent been using the long monster minis, and we need extra short bands for the deads. The long monster minis are what was out and why it is showing out of stock - so BOOM...gives us a few hours and you'll be good to go!

@@alexosowski76cardiac arrest I believe. Unfortunately it's not uncommon for body builder to have a heart attack at a very early age.

What the last several weeks really highlights is that when we start doing exercises that we don’t normally do we find out some very real weaknesses. Bands look easy, but if you don’t train with them woah! Hey! They are challenging! This whole deal should be opening some eyes regarding fitness and the variety that is out there that we forget about, isn’t bro enough, etc. thank you John for these videos and the importance you give them. Fantastic.
Could not agree more! I just did it and I was sweating buckets; even more when I am at my gym!
Completely agree...opens our eyes to different training methods and improving all the things we generally skip over. Definitely will keep us strong for when we are able to return to the actual gym. (In a certain way it gives me more respect to people who are going through rehab exercises using bands/bodyweight...its tough!)
I have used bands for a couple years. I notice that they work a lot of the smaller supporting muscles that are very hard to get at. That gives better definition.
I have screw eye screws into pine trees and then attach the bands to those via spring clips (make sure you check the weight capacity when you buy). This gives me a lot of flexibility in terms of movement and pushing as well as pulling and is very low cost.

These videos are brilliant. A lot of others I've seen have been with equipment many don't have at home, basically 'at home-gym' workouts. These have helped me massively. 👍

I've been doing these band workouts for the past week and they've been awesome! I'm certainly no IFBB Pro/elite powerlifter but I'm a pretty strong guy and doing crossovers/rows with the mini band made me more sore than a heavy barbell has in some time! Big thanks to John for putting out these great routines great stuff in general.
Hey John,
Have had my bands from EliteFTS for a while now and have used them speed work in the past. Just picked up a pair of BFR bands to experiment with about a week before everything went down. Had a try with those for arms with free weights at the gym and didn't feel too much. BUT, did them the other day with bands here at home and man alive the pump was insane!!! Thank you for all the hard work you do in creating these videos!! :)

These are great especially the ones for calves. I am trying so hard to get mine to have better definition. I do the standing ones with the band but have never seen the ones done while squatting. Gonna start tomorrow for sure! Thanks for all you do.

These videos are super useful!! Thanks for uploading man; I've been trying to build a pull-up bar in my garden and maybe I'll add some dip bars soon too, but yeah the bars were no issue but getting the cement right now to get it in the ground is damn near impossible ahahah. Insane like, everything seems to be sold out everywhere.

We need guy's like you, to help as to stay maximum time in good shape. Bulgarian squad is a great exercise ( not because I'm from Bulgaria), there are no other that can change my quads like him.
I would add and a Shoulder press whit heavier bands.

Great suggestions John, will def try them. As for lateral raises, try it with 2 red bands with the right band under your left foot and vice verse. That gives a nice burn after 15-20 controlled reps. Cheers and stay safe all.

Ive been weight training since I was 16 ...now 48 and I have just started using reistance bands in my workouts these last 3-4 weeks. So, I would just like to say that these bands are an excellent addidtive to your workouts. They give you a phenomenal stretch for your muscles and also give you a greater range of motion in some cases.

Crazy stuff going on around us. 50 year old, out of shape, with a gut and type 2 diabetes desperately trying to change some things in his life. FANTASTIC girlfriend, just moved into a new house last week trying to jump on these positives and ride their waves. Have a few tube bands and a few loop bands I'm wanting to take advantage of. Great job on this video, John. Unlike most of the other RUclips videos, your exercises are simple to do and require nothing other than the bands. In contrast, nearly all the other band instruction videos I've seen require extra equipment such as Door Anchors and you can't do most of them without it. As such, this is by far the most practical band video I've thus far seen. I'm going to try all of these myself. The calf exercise is particularly intriguing because I've been trying to figure out a way to train my calves without machines--although I do one-legged calf raises, which are surprisingly difficult. I learned that one from Arthur Jones years ago. I went from doing 20 sets of calves to three sets of one-legged calf raise holding a dumbbell and put an inch on my calves!

Great list. Band front squats with a heavy band are also good. Stand on the band with both feet, squat down, put the band over both of your front shoulders, lift arms up and grab band with both hands and pull away from the neck. Then squat.
