Hi Efren I just found you and your vlog the first time on the internet and you are my inspiration for life. I wish I was just a little younger. I am spending all day today watching your various camino stories. I walked Camino frances many times myself but this is a new chapter for me. Thanks for your videos. Keep up good spirit!
Again a wonderful experience on the Camino de Santago. Thank you for all your beautiful videos, Efren! Allways love to watch and follow. I can walk all my caminos again with you. But now it's new to me :)
Awesome. Nice to know that I'm not the only one who has the pipe dream of entering the eternal city as a pilgrim. But unlike you I plan so start with the Camino de norte. Turn around at muxia and walk the Frances backward until I arrive in Rome. Hope we pass each other on the way. Buen Camino!
Glad you got to use the Olympus 4s... great shoe and still a bit better than the 5!. Hopefully, you kept your second pilgrim ring all the way to Santiago. It looks like a great camino. Every one is different and brings unexpected challenges & delights. The only thing would all that dirt to wash out at the end of the day! Diverterte en el bicicleta
Thank you so much for making these e-bike Camino videos. I have watched all of them. They are incredibly helpful as I will be riding it in May. One question came up is how would you choose the best routes for cycling (less rocky and muddy, less crowded with hikers)?Do you have gps files that we can download and follow?
GRACIAS POR COMPARTIR ESTA EXPERIENCIA TOTALMENTE DIFERENTE A OTROS CAMINOS. ME GUSTA COMO DESCRIBES LOS SITIOS HISTORICOS. CUIDATE Y DISFRUTA. MIAMI, FLORIDA TE SALUDA!
Beautiful. If you plan extended bicycle Camino, I would advise to take it not from Rome but from Poland, eg. Warsaw or Lublin. Why? Cause it will be very different and somehow hard to predict experience for you. The "Road less Traveled" is usually more interesting, cause it's smth new and maybe unexpected :) as regard to culture, ppl, conditions etc.
Have cycled on the Frances once, not an ebike, was pretty brutal 😅 going back in May, still struggling with the idea of an eBike 🤔 not sure how I feel about it, I'm sure it will be fun 😊 but seems it is then just a cultural adventure, not a pilgrimage 😊
@Walk_with_Efren thanks buddy, I'm watching all your videos, and sharing them with my friends, thinking sometimes don't worry about what people think or if you have something to prove, just go have an enjoyable Camino, thanks man, luv your videos
Efren me a gustado mucho el video. Tu dices que vas a tratar de salir de Roma hasta Santiago en una bici. Cuando lo hagas me dices como te fue. Yo tambien pieso ir en bici desde Suiza hasta Roma en bici. Gracias.
Thank you Efren, for taking the time to make these videos. My partner and I have recently switched from touring on a Motorcycle to bicycle touring and have found your videos very helpful. After watching this series we have decided to Cycle the camino this spring and it will also be our first long distance cycle tour. I noticed you said that gps files are not required with it being well signposted .You also mention that you have logged the full route and gps files are available . Please can you advise us where we can obtain a cope of the files ? as they will be very useful on our first tour. Many thanks and keep the excellent videos coming. Happy Travels .
That's great. I wish you all the best. You can find the link to the GPS tracks in the video's description, but keep in mind that those are for walking pilgrims. I say from sjpdp to Sarria there are no issues sharing the path with walking pilgrims, but from sarria on, I would search only for the cycle GPS tracks.
I suppose the battery of the bike is detachable. Did you have problems to charge it in the municipal Albergues? When I did my Camino Frances many years ago, finding available power sockets was quite a challenge with so many pilgrims wanting to charge their mobile devices.
Did you have any problems with the eBike? How did you repair any punctured tyres? If you had to do it again, what would you do differently? I’m doing del Norte in October. How many rest days did you have? Any opinion about BiciGrino? I very much look forward to your favourable response, please. Thank you kindly. Stay safe always. Muchas Gracias Mojo…
Hi Efrén. Great video. I am ( 73 ) thinking of doing the the minimum 200 kms on my e - bike so how propicious I should bump into you. Many thanks, your presentation skills are perfect ...... great job.
Hi Efren, We have enjoyed many of your video's. Leaving for Spain from Miami again April 22nd. My husband would like to know what brand your sunglasses are on your E bike video's and where to get them . Thanks so much
Oh wow, I'm leaving on the 28th. I bought these glasses at a sports store in Courmayeur on the Tour du Mont Blanc. Unfortunately, I lost them near Fisterra. I don't remember the brand, but it was Italian.
@@Walk_with_Efren Thanks for your fast reply. My husband will have to look for different ones then . My 6th time to the Frances. I keep going back lol. It's a healthy "addiction" :) Have a good trip the 28th !
Hey Efren, at the 9 minute mark you mention that the last time we saw you was on the route from Geneva to Le Puy en Velay. I love the sound of this but can’t find a video. Have you posted it?
Your videos are incredible I would love to meet you sometime I’m also a big RUclips person and I would really enjoy connecting with you and talking shop.
Well you thought wrong. Camino in Spanish means “path” or “way”. Caminar means walk. Camino a casa - “the way home”. Hence in English El Camino a Santiago means “The way to …” explains why there are several films and many books title The Way. Just saying.
@@Walk_with_Efren My response was to the poster who wrongfully claimed that Camino means walking. Sorry for the confusion. That you. Speak Spanish is clear from your perfect pronunciation of all the places you mentioned! While I am back here. My interest in your videos has to do with your e-bike experiences. I’m thinking of doing the Camino on an e-bike but I am certain that I will skip the France to Roncesvalles leg as that is not something I want to do. But I have a choice to do Pamplona to Santiago or Santiago to Pamplona. Do you think doing the Camino in reverse on a bike is going to be more problems than it is worth?
Hi Efren

Never seen you smile so much, kid in a sweet shop comes to mind.
Efren, an e-bike on the camino, no penance, great footage, obrigado

A biking video? Who would have thought! And looks like you are enjoying it as well
doing in on horseback is all that remains

The bike ride Camino gives a totally different view of it; and together with the Drone footage Efrén it is once again Magical
Loved this video. The narration is a great addition. Reminds me of your first Camino Frances which I just rewatched! Great job
Great video Efren, doing the camino in may on an Ebike. Gracias! Cheers
I will be on the Camino Frances in May, walking from Santiago to Pamplona. I hope to see you coming my way.
@@Walk_with_Efren Awesome! Any other contact info? Martin from Argentina
Looks like you are really enjoying “a different Camino”, what fun! As always the drone footage adds so much, thanks.
Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
Thank you so much for your excellent work you’re getting better and better. Love your explanations.
Wow, great video! You can really tell you’re having a blast! The narrations are excellent.
Glad you enjoyed it my friend
Beautiful filmed as usual. Muchas gracias Majo.
I love watching your videos, you give me something to hope for when I retire (in about 3 years). Left some trail magic to your studio.🙂🙂🙂
Thank you so much Patric. Lots of trails out there to choose from. Buen camino.

As always excellent videos Efren... Felizidades
Amazing!! I was excited about your biking videos!! I missed you by 2 weeks this time! Finished my Camino on 09/28/2022. Buen Camino!!!
love the commentery, makes it different from other camino videos!

I would love to do this but I would be afraid of the bike getting stolen. How do you deal with that?
I am loving this by the way. It is great!
I rented the bike with a lock and insurance in case it did.

So how much was the bike rental and for how long?
I suppose the battery of the bike is detachable. Did you have problems to charge it in the municipal Albergues? When I did my Camino Frances many years ago, finding available power sockets was quite a challenge with so many pilgrims wanting to charge their mobile devices.
No issues at the albergues. I had a splitter to share with others.

I had zero issues with the bike 🤞 I may have just been lucky as always

Keep in mind that doing the Camino on an ebike will prevent you from getting the vcompostela, but then again, how will they know 😉

I decided to edit this series first, but I'll get to those videos after I get back from Spain in mid-June.
Can’t wait! Blessings
Para otra vez si te hace falta empujar la bicicleta hay en el mando un modo walking que te ayuda cuando la arrastras.
Efren Saludos!!! (Mr. Cafe con leche) where did you rent your e-bike? what is the process? can i ask how much? Gracias, buen camino hermano...
I rented it from bicigrino.com
Your videos are incredible I would love to meet you sometime I’m also a big RUclips person and I would really enjoy connecting with you and talking shop.
Which brand of foot scooter did you use on the O’Henro? Was it helpful in the long run-pun intended?
I'm doing the shikoku henro next month
how do you know when its best to take a road detour? Is it marked somewhere
I know from memory. I've done the camino a few times. Most cyclists stick to the road while I try to stay on the camino as much as possible.
It is also written in the guide books, for example in the yellow German one (outdoor camino frances) which is also available in English
otherwise, really like the vlogs Efren...!!!
Hi Efren love this. What is the brand name of the ebike?
thank you. It was a rental. a haibike with a bosch motor.
Looking to reserve e-bike - august 2024. Not easy. Any suggestions
Bicigrino.com
Keep thinking of charging. Does lodging care about bikes??
Not in my experience
How do you secure your e-bike at night to prevent theft? Any issues with charging it ?
It came with a lock. I would take the battery off the bike and charge it next to my bed.
Can you tell us more about the bike please, what is it? Did you hire it?
Yes, I rented it from bicigrino.com I talk more about it on day 3
Would you be able to provide a route map?
link in the video's description
Why not do it by Taxi and have done with it!
I've done it 3 times on foot, once from geneva, on an ebike, with a trolley, a stage on horseback, and also in a car. What's your point?
I thought "Camino" meant walking.....???? Just sayin
I've done it on foot. Now that I've also done it on a bike, all I'm missing is horseback.
Well you thought wrong. Camino in Spanish means “path” or “way”. Caminar means walk. Camino a casa - “the way home”. Hence in English El Camino a Santiago means “The way to …” explains why there are several films and many books title The Way. Just saying.
I speak Spanish.

No worries. Don't pay attention to negative people like him. I don't.
