Thank you! I had this issue over the weekend. Ordered the part from Amazon. Received the part today. Installed and I am back in business. $10 part and a little sweat equity! 👍
Appreciate you man. Mine was "sensing" so i followed your steps. I was only getting F30 so i thoroughly cleaned it and was still getting F30 so i ordered a thernal fuse. That did the trick!
Yup, even though I only had F28 and F30 codes, it did the trick for me, 10$ easy fix, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your video 😁. I think this fix will work for anyone with the F28 code.
@@nicole79804 It means that there is something wrong regarding the moisture sensor. Could be that it needs cleaning, that it is shorted or even that the board is broken and cannot read the sensor. Try googling about "fixing f29 code on cabrio dryer". Hope you find a fix!
I got the same error code F1 & F28 dryer blowing with no heat. Took out the internal Bias-thermostat and got a reading of 9.5 at hot room temp of about 80F, the recent heat wave of LA must have stop the fuse. Put it in refrigerator for 10 minute & got a reading of 11 with the multi-meter so it seems like the thermostat is still ok. Put it back in & voila working!! Heat is back on!!
Mine is stuck in ‘sensing’ and won’t heat up. First I changed the solenoids. Nothing. Then I changed the thermal fuse. This only allowed the dryer to finally give me code F28 and would also let the dryer heat for a minute or 2 at the start of the load. Just changed the moisture sensors and still stuck in sensing, and now no heat. I’m a single mother and trying not to lose my mind over here fixing this issue. If you could please share your thoughts on what else I can fix, I would greatly appreciate it! No codes show, just reads 88( this is also what it read before I swapped out the thermal fuse.)
You don't even know how much you are a God sent to me my dryer quit working I have another dryer in the back of my husband's it was going to take me 3 days to unload this garage to get to the dryer what's your video replace that part and guess what she works thank you so much😂😂😂😂🥲😃😃😄
@@getgoodusa you saved me so much time and money I don't even know for a fact that the other dryer works it's a 1980s but when I put it in there it worked so I kept it
Hi I'm 71-year-old senior and I had that problem about 3 weeks ago with my dryer I called my son after looking up videos on RUclips so I could kind of tell him what research I had already done cuz he's that kind of guy anyway he ordered the thermal switch from Amazon put it in and it didn't work he pushed the dryer back into place and then he tried one more time and it came on it was a miracle anyway I hadn't used it until last week and it did not start was flashing F1 again do you think that the thermal switch was bad or what else could be the problem
I'm only getting code F1. You said there's a small board and a large one? I thought it was only a big control board. I hope its only the thermistor or thermal fuse. Question is, do I throw $ on those first and then find out it's the board??
I would check the circuit board looking for any indication that any solder points burned out and if so, clean and re-solder it. There’s a video somewhere on RUclips showing that. It’s been a while since I had this apart so It’s not fresh on my mind anymore. Good luck though 👍
Can you by chance tell me what the model to your dryer is. My elderly mom has this same dryer doing the exact same thing but i don’t know what part to order because i don’t know what models her is
I am so frustrated and defeated. I have a Whirlpool Cabrio WED6400SB0 and I have watched 9 videos about how to get it into diagnostic mode and mine will not do it. It stopped heating. I'm not a "handy" Mr. fix it type at all. We have 8 children. I absolutely have to get this dryer going for this weekend. Since it would not go into diagnostic mode and since the only place that has a heating element closed 13 minutes ago, I went ahead and spent $181.00 on the heating element. I don't even know if that's the problem. I don't even know how to install it if it IS the problem! I feel like a failure. I'm doing terrible right now, at this time. Too much pressure. This was the last thing I needed to go wrong. I now have just under $90.00 to make it until NEXT Friday. I try so hard. This has sent me way over the edge. I am the nicest guy any of you could ever meet. I think I am done. I mean, totally completely done.
Your mama didn’t raise no quitter don’t give up on yourself $180 for a heating element. Ouch that’s a lot of cash when you take the old one out make sure you unplug the dryer but put the new one in the opposite of you taking out the old one it’s not that difficult. It’s a few screws and a few plug-ins I know you can do it. I have alllllllll the faith in all the world in you. So put your big boy pants on don’t be a negative Nancy take the old one out and remember where you unplugged everything if you have to put painters tape on the wires and mark them with painters, tape numbers, 1234 and so on and so on your mama didn’t raise no quitter are you a quitter I don’t think you are so get to it you got this buddy, and remember our heavenly father has got this and Jesus has got this. Good luck.
This is what I found : F2 flashes when there is a stuck button or user interface mismatch. You can try performing a hard reset to fix the problem. Unplug or turn the circuit breaker off”. I did find a video of someone fixing a stuck button on RUclips before. Good luck man.

Thanks Dude. I watched your video. Replaced that part. Didn’t even check the codes. Started right up. Thank you.
Thank you so much. Had this issue on Sunday. Order the part from Amazon, back in business on Monday. Forever grateful!

Fixed dryer with your video, thanks. Now a L 2 shows . What does that mean?
Wow !! It worked!! Thank you so much as you saved me a lot of money and time 🙏🏼☺️👍🏼 merci from Montréal/Québec
Any chance you could post a picture of the codes? I don’t have the manual to look up the codes.

I'm getting an F-2 code and it's doing exactly the same as your. (Not starting/ sensing) do you think is the same fuse? TIA
It could be. What does the manual say the code is ? It’s been a minute so I forget
