Even if the president were immune for actions that were necessary while performing presidential duties, there should definitely be no immunity if those actions were in violation of the oath to the Constitution or traitorous in nature.

Yeah, Gerald Ford and the Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) set that precedent when Ford pardoned Nixon and the OLC wrote their memo that places Presidents above the law while in office. No one is above the law - but, OLC memos, apparently are. Not one member of Congress voted for it and none of them can vote against it, either. It just sits there conveniently above the law for the likes of Donald Trump to exploit.

I do believe that the Supreme Court has already ruled on this question about Trump's immunity. They already stated that he doesn't have immunity so therefor he will have to stand trial for the crimes he committed when he wasn't doing presidential duties! Running for president isn't a presidential duty!

Avoid voting for political operatives. Vote for a candidate who cannot be influenced by lobbyists. Lobbyists will initially be seen as the facilitators or experts in an area (e.g. big pharma). However, once they spot an opportunity to take advantage of one side, they would without hesitation for their self gain or push for the gain of one of their own affiliates.
They are adept at the dark arts: delay tactics, stalling techniques and distraction methods. Contracts with clients which should have been drawn up by Christmas are now pushed back to Spring (deals which should have been concluded in a matter of months are now taking years and there is even talk of decades, without the majority of customers even realising).
Distraction methods include promoting social activities/entertainment (taking clients out for food and drinks etc) to keep customers minds off their real priorities. When called out, they typically laugh things off to reduce the validity of the truth (they often bring up comparisons with famous comedy characters or refer to them as clowns) or are quick to call those who expose them as toxic, nasty or hateful.
Their reputation precedes them and getting involved with them in the first place could turn out to be a tragic mistake if not rectified when the opportunity presents itself #MAGA

Why should, or would president be immune? What a ridiculous notion to even conceive that.
The idea is that elected officials might have to be protected from malicious prosecution on bogus charges if a different party subsequently comes to power. This has happened in plenty of other countries, and if you think it could never happen in the US, just listen to some of the speeches Trump has given lately. Hence, the immunity protects actions taken as part of the official duty.
There is a necessity for immunity of politicians and there are articles which explain this in detail. But like any law, privileges and duties have boundaries.
