core making for sand casting

@@AxelP33 Well, maybe! Larger shell cores are hollow which means that gas can escape through the core to the core prints quite easily. But the sort of thin core typical of water passages would likely not be hollow and gas build up in the core could be problem. Poking holes through the core with wires before it has completely cured will help a lot but it depends of the shape of the core. Shell would be way better than CO2 but there are better materials around. MuellerNick in this video ruclips.net/video/_M0DxxlIK3I/видео.html uses what is abetter care binder system...Martin

This is shell core sand. You buy it already precoated with the resin that sets and bonds it when heated. IT is sometimes called resin coated sand and it is widely available world wide.... Martin
