The new dlc provides a new 1 tile structure to store oxylite, you can use that to put them in a corner of a room to push out the co2 that got stuck inside rooms.

You don't need to keep all the rooms warm. One heater centrally located is enough to provide the buff, which lasts for a time before they need to re-visit the heater. This saves a TON on wood btw.
