Clean straightforward chatting about the best, and not so best, I like this style because we're getting to the part we want to hear about, is it any good, what's there to look out for, and this is reflected throughout the other reviews. Having said that, I would like to see the very best of 2012, or 2017 stating why its such a good kit. Great review loved it
This was the third kit i ever built. (I started collecting in November 2014, my collection now numbers roughly 170 kits) #1 was the HG Sandrock Custom, #2 was the RG C-Z'Gok. What a way to start, eh.
This kit is awesome. As soon as I get the money it will be mine. As always great reviews I really enjoy watching them and they always help me make my decision. Good stuff Jabman keep it up.
After a while, I just glued 4 of the funnels and the bazooka to the back. Was so sick of them falling off. Now that I have a second kit, I was inspired by the Perfect Grade Unleashed to try magnets. I have small magnet squares, circles, and magnetized tape. Gonna try all 3 to see if any of them can help the funnels stick together. If anyone has experience like that, please feel free to share your results.
My painting the connectors in clear paint did work until the 4-5 connection.. I guess I needed more for it to work. As I did not feel like cracking out the scotch tape or modifying the funnels to accept a bronze rod. My feeling through the whole build was they made this for painters... and I think it shows.
really enjoy the reviews you do brotha! if i need to know about a mg i want to buy i watch your vids then make a decision. very entertaining! keep it up. \
Great review! just got mine, cant wait to build. What did you like building better, the Nu Gundam ver ka or the Sazabi ver ka? Ive already built the Sazabi and really enjoyed the build.
You can put the small beam saber (forearm saber, not back of backpack saber) into the barrel of the rifle to make it look like it's firing... and it's also cannon accurate!
this was very informative i enjoy the "and one more thing bits" very entertaining and clever but i just got this kit and gonna set it where the psycho frame is showing too cool to pass up
The hands on this kit are very innovative HOWEVER The connection points between the sections of the fingers are done very weak and I advise being VERY careful when posing, or even cutting them off the runner. The bar, for lack of a better term, that goes through the hinge is as thick as a pin point and if it breaks off, you will not be able to get it back on. Just a word of warning.
the "Real grade" master grade hands are like any other real grade inner frame. you have to work them loose via moving them slowly and no sharp moves until they are loosened up. because they are molded in sections they can be slightly melted together. which makes them break apart easily instead of moving as intended. that's what makes moving and loosening them an important step. that should have had some sort of warning or instruction on the box or booklet. the sazabi and a few others (like the mg jesta) are the same way.
here's a tip i learned from good ol' rrobbert184. you can put scotch tape on the back of the fin funnels to hold them together better. it's not anything difficult, or permanent.
Ordered mine today. Nice kit. Big question though: Do any of the stickers that make it more RG like have a tendency to peel or are they rock solid? Also how tricky is the fingers in terms of construction... I have not made a RG yet and this looks tricky... and it looks like it might accidently break.
Most of the issues I did not encounter. The Fin Funnel problem I had I countered with clear paint and a couple coats of it. The LED light in the back while disappointing I won't knock it for that its a meh. The brightness is great. The transformation I found a waste time. The stickers in different shades a waste of time. The back pack flaps that are removeable did not find a problem as like 2old4toys I found the grooves just apply a decent amount of pressure. The knock I do give it is ...
I've got this kit sitting in my room right now, I'm a little scared of putting it together, but I think that fear is already being redirected at my RG Zeta.
I'm new to collecting and the Gundam 3.0 came with hands like that. They were weird as heck to get out of the mold and I don't think I really did them right because it doesn't want to make a fist with them, but, other than that, they work pretty well. It could just be because of how inexperienced I am, but I got the Zaku II 2.0 and it has some trouble holding guns because I bump them off all the time on accident, but, with the 3.0 Gundam, it's go no problems at all. You've got a peg on both parts, you line it up, put it in, close the fingers, and it'll just hold stuff all day. Again, I'm pretty inexperienced so this probably isn't how it always is, but, from the one kit I've seen them on, they work pretty well.
the 3.0 hands were my first MG experience and while i think the technology behind the molding is really cool, they are a little too much hassle. i like the articulation on the zaku 2.0 hands a lot, but yea my zaku has problems holding his gun.
Also, we WILL see those hands again! The MG Sinanju Stein will have them as well for example^^ With a new developement they would be stupid not to include it more often. Developing these hands must have been expensive afterall. Peronally I hope we will see them with all new big MG releases!
Hello Jabman^^ I've recently bought the MG Nu Gundam Ver Ka yet I don't really know how to put the water slide decals and I have no experience with them. What do I need to put them on and be sure that they don't come off any time soon? Do I need to topcoat the kit after I put the water slides on?
jabman025 thanks for everything jabman^^ But I still have one more question: is that characteristic exclusive to the micro sol or something like the mr marker softer should also work? Either way, thanks for everything^^
Hang on, what is your problem with the latches on the hands? From what I have seen the weapons and the hands plug into each other like a double connection, why is that a bad thing? Shouldn't it be super strong compared to what Bandai did before?
Jab. I just wanted to let you know that nu gundam does transform in the anime. It did it before the UNICRON. In the anime Amaru has like hyper mode or in GUNDAMS terms? A new type.
The Nu Gundam did not transform or use a full psychoframe in Char’s Counterattack. Amuro is indeed a newtype, but that doesn’t mean it transforms. The only place that the Nu has a psychoframe is the cockpit.
he guys🤗 im planning on buying this kit, but i have problems with my unicorn gundam (the one with ms cage) the ab part in the torso is so loose, the lock on the back that holds the torso doesn't work well it so pain in the but! well guys, any advice? does this kit have the same problems with the unicorn gundam??
hands are a bit too strong, was taking this kit apart for painting and ripped both hands out of the little ball things that plug into the wrist grumble grumble, theres an quick extra $10
(cont.) the transformation and gimmick with the psycho frame is a waste of time.. Would have been better had they limited it to the cockpit or the chest area. The latch I had no problems and liked it. My Beam Rifle holds perfectly and the Bazooka holds well as well for me. The only forseeable problem is the wrist. The Bazooka is loving the drop. There are a few problems with balance but it is great. But at least it is not delicate. (Looking at Sinanju) Kit of the Year
If my boss wouldnÄt have had problems with his loan office last month I would have had it already as well... Oh well, it's on the way to me now. Better late then never!
It's weird going back and watching this, seeing how many modern master grade build methods were pioneered on this kit
jabman. You rock!!! you just became my no 1 gundam reviewer. kipidap.
I absolutely love this kit! And it was your review that convinced me. Thanks for this review, and all the others.
Damn bro seven years later to the day of this review and I get a Nu ver ka for my birthday. Still holds up really well too.

I've been bing watching your videos lately, I can't wait for your ZZ Gundam Ver.Ka review.
that pose at 14:48 just made me buy this, awesome videos by the way looking forward towards more.
this was my first MG kit and i thought theyd all be this big lol
Yeah thats why i started with something small so i wouldnt be disappointed lol
This kit is awesome. As soon as I get the money it will be mine. As always great reviews I really enjoy watching them and they always help me make my decision. Good stuff Jabman keep it up.
Been waiting for ages for you to review this!
Great review Jab, just want and bought my first master grade after watching this
Dude I love your reviews, keep em coming!
just ordered this kit ty for review tp help make the decision
I personaly LOVE the led gimik now

Hey, did it end up working out?
JUST BOUGHT THIS BADBOY, HAPPY VALENTINES DAY.
NU GUNDAM HYYYYYPE!
What do you have in mind for the funnels?
Finished it, and i'm adding the water slide decals.
Mark Mejia is it really worth the money? I'm planning on buying this one, and it will be my first gunpla :)
Jaime Gomez 1. I got it for $77 and it was worth every cent. 2. It does take some skill so I would not recommend it for a first gunpla.
Okay. thanks for replying man! :)

This is a great review. Thanks! Great work.
Thanks for the size comparison with the original MG Nu. I don't any of the other reviewers have done that yet.
really enjoy the reviews you do brotha! if i need to know about a mg i want to buy i watch your vids then make a decision. very entertaining! keep it up.

By the way, you can pull up the knee cap too, more psycho frame goodness. I almost missed that part too
Hey, thanks for the review and btw what happen with the shoulder's thruster? you forgot to put the white part on it?
nice tips. just bought my 1st MG...
this was very informative i enjoy the "and one more thing bits" very entertaining and clever but i just got this kit and gonna set it where the psycho frame is showing too cool to pass up
hahaha...i like your "oo..and one more thing" things in every of your video review ... :) nice review!
Well damn My eyes have deceived me because that looks amazing for a straight build good thing I bought this model I'm going to start today
Best kit of 2012.This kit might have its flaws but it looks so awesome.
Just finished mine. Wrists took some tightening, but I love this kit!
The hands on this kit are very innovative
HOWEVER

@@rybuds47 8 years later, you're most welcome
Don't be afraid to play with those waterslide decals, either; You'll be glad you did.
Happy building.
the first thing i built was the base and those funnel stands seem very tight and it feels like they would break if i tried to move them too much.
best nu review.....great work
Mine would be painting the connectors with clear paint more coats as you go. The rod I do think will fix the wave issue that is prevalent.

Hey Jabman I'm just curious, how did you get into Gundams? It's nice to see a westerner so into Gundams from so long ago!

except for the base :p also you didn't mention the extension on the bazooka, but other than that great review :)
The latches do help , IMO its the best. I think you should give it a try. Instead if being lazy !
Its realy good looking😍
Can u use that. Nu gundam stand for fin funnel to your old hi nu gundam is it fit ?
hey jabman
is it possible to use that action base old hi nu gundam fin funnels?
Jabman025! ive been a fan of yours since I started building 2 years ago. would you review bootleg kits? like Dragon Momoko Strike? MG ofcourse
Quick question did u paint it ?
will you make a review of the sinanju stain ver.ka?
I've got this kit sitting in my room right now, I'm a little scared of putting it together, but I think that fear is already being redirected at my RG Zeta.
i call the hands 3.0 hands.
another note: i just ordered this kit. i should be getting it pretty soon. i cannot wait at all.
Steven Tarsitano 3.0 hands= bullshit
DarcMetal02 as I'm new to mastergrades I haven't experienced 3.0 hands yet but I have an RV and it seems like the same kind of thing
I'm new to collecting and the Gundam 3.0 came with hands like that. They were weird as heck to get out of the mold and I don't think I really did them right because it doesn't want to make a fist with them, but, other than that, they work pretty well. Are you going to get the double fin funnel add on?
Are you planning to get the Double Fin Funnels?
You gonna review the MG Hi-nu ver Ka sometime?
do you know where I can buy replacement decals
Would rather have this than MG Strike Freedom FB.
Is this kit still stands in your shelf? Wondering to get this one or the MG Sinanju Stein Narrative
tbh idk who would have this mg standing on it's own feet, instead of having it airborne with the included action base.
I recommend some micro set and micro sol, liquid that prepare the area for the decal and the seals the decal after it is already on
jabman025 but do I need to topcoat the entire kit after applying the decals just like you said or it should be ready to go?
No you don't, the micro sol will seal the decals, if you do a lot of custom painting then you also need to top coat
jabman025 thanks for everything jabman^^ But I still have one more question: is that characteristic exclusive to the micro sol or something like the mr marker softer should also work? Either way, thanks for everything^^
they both do the same thing, micro set and sol are just a good deal cheaper
SHould have pre ordered it. I got mine for 80.
Hang on, what is your problem with the latches on the hands? From what I have seen the weapons and the hands plug into each other like a double connection, why is that a bad thing? Shouldn't it be super strong compared to what Bandai did before?
I think one look at the hands and legs tells you everything you need to know why this kit is far superior to the AGE kits^^

had NOOO problems with the hands very strong connection love the NU hand 'hehe see what i did there
Should I get this, or the double zeta ver ka
Both like i did
IDK if I could build this is it really hard
hope you guys knows and understand what im talking about on the unicorn gundam hehe🤗🤗
this doesn't use ABS runners am I correct?
Best advice is brass rods

nope, I have this kit and it is very solid. The locks for the transformation work well.
Ralph Ryan Lao what the hell, any mg unicorn gundam Is horrible with the locks
what the hell are you talking about? The OP is talking about the NU's torso locks, not the Unicorn's, and it is very solid indeed.
Oh
I read something else lol
Jabman, does the stickers peel?
they can if you don't use a good decal bonder
hands are a bit too strong, was taking this kit apart for painting and ripped both hands out of the little ball things that plug into the wrist grumble grumble, theres an quick extra $10

nope, no paint

Expressive hands
Other than the stand :P
How hard is this kit btw I have built 6 master grades
+Ace21 it is a difficult one but after 6 Master Grade kits you shouldn't have any issues
Pls pls release a strike/sfreedom, gundam 00 ver ka. I am so like ver ka version.
If my boss wouldnÄt have had problems with his loan office last month I would have had it already as well... Oh well, it's on the way to me now. Better late then never!
well congratulation to HGUC nu gundam hahaha they made a batter way to lock fin funnle than mg nu ver ka
I am getting headache from off focus on focus from the camera
i love how ya emphasize how it's your choice if you want the psycho frame open or not. So much dumb debate over it for no apparent reason.
I’m the 888th like on this video! Yay!
Hay jabman
Still not entirely fond of the Nu Gundam, so will pass on it, but as a kit this one does seem very good.
The exclusion of ABS is a mistake for me. Bandai cheapened. I hate it.
To be honest it isn't worth the 100+ dollars that its overpriced to be.
To be honest, thats your opinion. Your entitled to it, but you don't speak for me.
