I was really disappointed when I found out about the 39 episodes. This is my favorite mg and I'm also getting the double x in a few weeks. I really hope bandai makes a divider add on and g falcon.

Loved this kit and I could tell you painted the vulcans silver, as did I. And I painted the reflectors clear blue. The only thing I didn't do and refer after finishing the kit was painting the unfree frame sliver where the clear green piece goes. It shows a lot more over the siliver....
Great vid, the Gundam X Divider was not only my first high grade kit, but my first 1/100 scale kit too. Can you do a video camparing this 1/100 MG kit against the 1/100 HG version you did a video on a while ago? There aren't very many videos comparing two kits of the same suit and same scale, but different grade, and I think it would be really cool to show the progression bandai has made in it's high end 1/100 scale kits if the late 90' against the high end 1/100 kits of modern day. MG X is rumored for a reprint for the first time in who knows long in December, and the Premium Bandai X Unit 3 is being reprinted as well! Good year for X fans isn’t it?
I really love this kit, simple, efficient, next to no nonsense. But my biggest gripe is the softer plastic used in the satellite cannon. Mine took a relatively short stumble and two of the parts broke, yet the GNX that took the X out with it survived with no damage. And that GNX has fallen off of a 5ft dresser

The clear purple parts are likely to simulate the illumination the suit does when the X satellite panels are fully charged, cause the energy courses through the entire mobile suit before firing the satellite cannon, cause that is what happens in the show, same with the Double X

Hey, recently built a real grade Destiny and am looking for a decent master grade to grab, I have been looking at the Blue frame Astray right now, I have a decent amount of cash that could buy probably any one of the master grades, but would also like to use some of that cash to upgrade and add more tools, so any tools I should have or make sure I have good ones of would also be great.
if they do a double x mg, its mine, I've been wanting to get the no grade double x, but now its out of stock on most retail site and ebay its gone extremely high in price

The Gundam X kit looks better than Double X in my opinion, though the X Solar Panels shoud've been taller, they are too short. Can you interchange them with the double X panels ?

MG Gundam X and Double X issue was weak waist unit causing the kit to bend backward Solution: cut a thin runner,put it inside between body and waist unit ,put all the weight in front then you will see,it never bend backward I did that on MG Double X ^_^

I want one as well, i just started watching Gundam X and im really enjoying it. I did a check and found some users on ebay selling it but they want it for alot more than usual, the cheapest i saw was $88
The X is not exactly a super complex Gundam to begin with, but I don't think this is the reason this kit is so "by the numbers", as you put it. Gundam X was not a financial success for Bandai. It completely tanked. So why would they invest a crapton of money into the design of this kit? :P They played it safe. It's a basic but functional MG that does everything right but nothing special. If the kit becomes a financial success we get the X Devider and the DX. If not Bandai didn't lose a ton of money but at least those who wanted a MG X are happy. We got a super solid MG out of that. So I think we can't complain^^
it tanked because they changed the time of airing to 6am, when NO ONE would watch it, and was cancelled mid-season so they had to wrap it up in 39 episodes. Shortest Gundam tv series since the original. That said, it's not a bad series in the slightest, and is DEFINITELY better than Wing.
Most likely a scale thing, IMO. The "emotion manipulators" got used on mostly UC MS kits that chronologically predated the smaller F91-and-afterward designs. On the MG RX-78-2 3.0 they actually look kind of large and oversized, but that has celebrity status as the granddaddy of the franchise so it got 'em. Bandai probably didn't see enough of a reason to invest in a set of emotion manipulators for MG kits of mobile suits in the 15-17m height range, which the X and its variants definitely fall into. Could be wrong. I don't see why they couldn't have used the old MG hinged gun-grip hands though.

My X doesn't have any issues being back heavy with the satellite cannon. He stands pretty strong on the ground without any weird foot/leg placements.
I can't get the shoulder armor stay in place, any suggestions?

they look fine, most go on white surfaces and barely show any hint of being a sticker

No problem with my kit, it stands perfectly well carrying the satellite cannon at the back. The hips are ok and doesn't bend.

I really don't know why they went with the bracket hands, why in gods name did they not use the 3.0 hands or make smaller 3.0 hands if they had to.

I have never like that beam rifle/shield combination weapon and I still don't.

be gentle with your sattelite cannon, ithere's an articulation point on it that's very thin and weak.
