My Solo Trip to Hampi - DAY-1

HAMPI
This place always held a special place in my heart and I knew that this trip is going to be extra special as starting my journey as a travel vlogger with my solo trip to Hampi.
Hampi, a UNESCO world heritage site, is an ancient town located in east-central Karnataka, in southern India. Set in a magnificent boulder strewn rocky terrain on the banks of Tungabhadra River, Hampi was described as an " Austere grandiose site" by Unesco. Hampi was the most prosperous capital of Vijayanagara empire in 14th century with temples, farms and trading markets with traders from Persia and Portugal. But in 1565 the Vijayanagara empire was defeated by a coalition of Muslim Sultanates and Hampi was conquered, plundered and destroyed, after which it remained as ruins. Spread over 4,100 hectares with 1600 surviving remains of the last great Hindu kingdom, Hampi is a must visit for everyone at least once in their life time.
Join me as I explore the captivating ruins of Hampi on my first day of this trip. Will try to show you as much as I can.
