    Excellent clear lesson. I like to put another A string in place of the low E and tune it to G. The double G tuned 5 and 6 strings allows you to play all 6 strings and having 3 G tuned strings resonates nicely.

      I heard Keith took off low E bcuz he wanted room for bass guitar 🤔

    Pro Tip: Build up a very high tolerance for alcohol so you can play this stuff all night without passing out. Keith used booze, barbitarates (sleeping pills which are almost impossible to get these days because they're very deadly - especially when mixed with alcohol), cigarettes, a very small amount of coke to keep the blood flowing, and smack for smooth sailing...Add weed to taste.

      I never used opiates etc.
      My favorite lineup is a little drink, some weed or Haschisch and a adult line of Coke. Most important is a generell good mood and a good Band.
      That's fun 😂

    Well I will give you this my friend. Everyone wants to show you how they play Keith licks. Your the only one that comes close to actually explaining it. 5 videos tonight with guys playing stones songs. But with no bloody explication. I can watch Stones video if I wanted to see Keith play. So thank you for at least a brief explication. Cheers mate…

    Maybe the best Keith Richards lesson I've seen by keeping it Keith simple always wondered why you can't just stay in Open G and you clarified it by saying you CAN do Chuck Berry in Open G why not?!!!!

    Hi, cool video. He may be one of the simplest guitar player's on earth but made many great songs and albums. And blues wise no one plays like him, his last album "Crosseyed Heart" is a great example. Also i just wanted to mention that it's supposed to be "D" in the 1st string, you're saying "E" even though you're tuned to "D" 🙂

    When the argument comes up about who is the greatest living guitar player, I always said Keith Richards was. There are super shredders in the local bar and great technicians on the radio but....none come close to the length of time nor the catalog of iconic songs that Richards has produced.

      Bob, you're spot on there!
      Keef might not be the most technical player, but it's not always about that. The greatest players are the ones who can tell stories through their music and the ones who can play a single note that touches you. Thanks for checking the lesson out!

    • @zingleraster9124
      @zingleraster9124 3 года назад +1

      Dead right....Keef’s stage presence, longevity and catalogue is second to none. Music that connects is much more than technique.

    Isn't anyone going to comment about how decent that cheap Tele sounds? How much are those East Coast guitars? About 100 quid?
    No? Well just me it is then 😆

    As a guitar player, Keith Richards has neither style and most certainly no techniques to speak of but as a public personality, he embodied completely the wash off rock star persona that he is. For the others who think that he plays guitar....here's how to sound like him: Get a Telecaster and get rid of the big E string and find an old Vox amplifier. Tune your guitar to G and make spasmodic moves around your living room as if you had the onset of Parkinson Disease without actually having it.

    • @karlwanninger7675
      @karlwanninger7675 5 дней назад

      Guess you don't play guitar. It is very astonishing that you can immediately recognise Keith playing after a few seconds, something you can do only with a few guitar players. That's his style and his technique, witch influenced more rock musicians than anybody else.

    • @miraposajehano4309

      @@karlwanninger7675You guess wrong and people recognize his style right away because it’s so simple, no one else play like that. Now if you think popularity equals skills then you’re an idiot.
