"Historically adequate" is my new mantra.
"Historically adequate" words that speak to my soul.
Hi, I don’t know if this has been mentioned earlier here but if you ever plan to sew straps „right sided together“ again, try sewing/encasing a thin ribbon in between the right sides. This way you can turn the entire thing inside out within seconds by simply pulling on the ribbon. This works magic for all types off self-sewn tubes. ☺️
Tina Kauder wonderful idea! Thanks for sharing!
3:45 Bondage meets Cottagecore. 🤣
😂😂
🤣
“Hold on to your bonnets”
Wait....I dont have a bonnet! *grabs a random Victorian inspired hat* this will have to suffice.
Love the Bee Kind tea mug, the stays with gorgeous fan lacing and the lovely new pettycoat.
It's so perfect in that it doesn't hinder the view of that gorgeous fan lacing 😍
It’s official! I’ve watched too many historical get ready with me videos! I can’t help somehow feeling “scandalized” seeing you out in your garden wearing undergarments 😂😂 more fully dressed than most people of course🤪but tell that to my brain that apparently thinks it’s the 18th century now!
😂😂 I feel the same way 😅
Me, too!!
Isn't it funny?! Like bikinis seem to be a normal thing in summer, but seeing a Lady in her turn of the Century undergarments is just so ridiculously scandalous!🤣🤣🤣REALLYY, Honestly...I tell ya, kids these days!🤣🤣🤣😎🍻
The petticoat looks very good, and seems like a nice easy project for anyone just starting out with historical sewing.
I love the beautiful nature scenes, the canning, and the candles it's so wonderfully fall!
Yes please add more 😃
Yes, great touch. Had me proud of my Canadian, farmer's daughter heritage!😁❤
it looks so pretty that I thought at first it was a gown
We did too
Your sceptical face while trying on the straps was the best for uplifting my mood :D The result actually looks very good!
The late night sewing giggles are definitely a thing. Gotta love that need to try everything on as it comes together, no matter how strange it looks
So floaty!! You know, if they had floaty rayon in 1740, ladies would’ve been all for using it in their petticoats! There is truth in the idea that beautiful underwear makes you feel pretty. Thank you for the much needed gigglesnort over the try-on and outtake. Love, light, and blessings to you and yours.
I was watching the news and couldn't handle it any longer so I went looking for a pallet cleanser. When I saw in my subscriptions there was something new I was hit with visceral relief. I needed this so badly. Thank you for filming your creating process and making this lovely vids to share with us.
Warm regards and well wishes in these trying times.
Same here. Watching the news and needed some relief fast. Keep well and be safe. Virginia in Ohio
Beautiful beautiful beautiful
I love that part in a work-in-progress where you're not quite sure what you've done, it looks like unusable trash, but you have to keep going!!!
Annnnnd I just figured out why my petticoat is called a “bodiced” petticoat! 😂 anyway, this looks so great!! 💖💖
It's adorable. I like the movement is so feminine and the fit is perfect.
I had a vision of tucks being used to alter petticoat lengths to suit occasions. Lovely!
Love your petticoat, you make it look so easy, thanks for sharing your giggles,
It really moves like a dream this rayon...
That was the best description of how to do tucks I've seen! Very clear! But oh, that pulling of a thread in Linen! I know it is the best way to have a clean cutting line, but so far, I've not mastered that skill! Thanks for the fun video!
Historically Adequate! I like it. Much more reasonable, attainable, and approachable. Send some of that applesauce my way!
Yay, it looks good! Sometimes simple is best. :)
Thank you! I really love how it turned out 💗
Your channel is my ASMR
gorgeous!! your regency under garments are so much lovelier than modern outer garments!
Didn't realise how much I needed this video, thank you! So lovely I watched it twice & got a bonus giggle at the end :D
ps - I still drool over that ribbon lacing xx
So simple and elegant! And so amazingly drapey, i fully support your fabric choice ;)
Lovely! You make tucks look effortless!!
Simple. Beautiful. Charming.
It’s so refreshing to see you doing the gathering correctly, so many you tubers play hit and miss with gathering and it does my head in. Thank you so much.
Such a lovely petticoat. Great work again.
Oh my god this is beautiful and I look forward to making it. Regency fashion is fascinating
The quality of your videos is exquisite! Thank you ❤️💐🌟
It looks very comfortable and probably would have laughed as much as you did about trying that top part on. 🙂
I love Anne so much that it's one of my daughter's middle names. And Fall is my favorite.
That's strap fitting had me in giggles. It looks like a bra without cups!
That is so cute! I am a fan of the flowy-ness as well.
Your stays are my favorite I’ve seen :’)
It turned out beautifully
Those regency take would have loved rayon! And I loved this video thanks for posting.
I feel like regency people would have loved some of that serious rayon flow!
How lovely! Thanks so much for a few moments of respite from the real world! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
I've loved high-waisted/empire waisted things since I was a child. This silhouette is very flattering on you! I look forward to the finished dress
Thank goodness I got caught up. Woohoo!
The undies look quite nice. The modern humans would never suspect that you're prancing about barefoot in the garden in your unmentionables! hee hee. Love this! Stay well!
Heck I may just make something like this for outerwear. This is so freaking pretty!!
Love how this turned out!! 🤩🤩
It looks amazing. And that movement!! Delightful as always!
Wonderful! Love the choice of fabric. I'm a big fan of rayon actually. "Historically adequate" indeed!
I adore this style... I think it's going to be how I make mine!! Thank you for sharing. ❤️
Very beautiful.
Bravo
“The last you’ll make an appearance in the garden barefoot...”? So you’re making socks and slippers next? 😉
😂😂😂 not at this point
Perfect start to my day! Thank you for sharing your sewing adventures, and your laughter. I am really digging the way you are using music in your videos
Late night project giggles
Stunning!
Very beautiful!
I love the tucks at the bottom, so elegant!
Very lovely!!
Thanks for the Anne reference!
You are truly so talented. I just feel I could never attempt the creations your two hands manifest. So inspirational!
It's funny how indecent it looks! Compared to what one can actually wear, you are almost completely covered, and still it feels as if I'm seeing to much.
(Looking good, though! I'm looking forward to seeing the last (?) layer!)
Beautiful!
Loved the twirl. It's beautiful.
So swirly and twirly. Love it! Thanks for sharing!
I'm currently sitting at work holding a hot cup of coffee to my chest as my boss has the AC on...I live an hour outside Seattle so it's cold in here! I love autumn, just outside lol.
I really like the design and it works really well with the stays you made.
Thank you 💗💗💗
Fastest click! I need to make one!
I love how this project is coming along 😍
I love this!
It's look so comfy and airy!! 😍
That came out great! I love how the rayon moves.
Beautiful work! I love watching your videos! Keep it up! Can't wait to see more lace!
It’s beautiful :) also the late night giggles were quite cute, made me smile 😊
Lovely!!!
Such a lovely petticoat. I love the float of the fabric too, so similar to the float of silk. When making loops or straps have you ever tried a loop turner? Its sometimes also called a tube turner. I love my tube turner. Once you get the hang of it, tubs turn like butter. No more fiddly finger strain.
Great work! I cannot wait to see the over dress and how it turns out. Good luck!
I love wearing rayon; it breathes like cotton and moves like silk. I hate sewing rayon; it slithers away from pins and laughs scornfully at feed dogs.
Thank you for doing regency! I made petticoat with straps before, but ended up remaking it with bodice because I wasn’t sure about the straps and waist band construction...
Thank you so much.
My favorite part? You trying on the straps
So so pretty--the dress and definitely you!
You posted right in the middle of a rather difficult homeschool day. My 12 year old was huffing over her writing assignment. My 9 and 7 years thought it would be a good day to smack each others butts instead of doing their work. It has to be a boy thing 🤦🏼🤷🏼 Needless to say I could not finish quick enough, even skipping math for the day. I'm certain that makes me a bad mom, but some days there just isn't enough chocolate. Especially for another cute project and a chance to once again admire the fan lacing on your stays. I really love how your petticoat turned out too. Sew super cute 😍So what's next? A pair of stockings? Maybe some cute slippers? Or are you going straight to the main dress next. You said it is getting brisk up there. I imagine you will be moving into more layers. I'm in Arizona and its still quite warm. We aren't quite to hoodie weather yet. Anyways thanks for sharing your petticoat with us. I can't wait to see what you come up with next. ❤
This may sound silly. But I need that 'Bee Kind' honey bee mug.
It's by "Now Designs" I hope that helps you find one for yourself😁 🐝🐝🐝
@@EnchantedRoseCostumes BLESSS YOU!!!!!!!!!
Nice.
Holy smokes! Last time I was this early for your vids I had a job and the world was normal! LOL
Here at least, late night decisions lead to...regrets if not disasters. After many such, my rule is that after 8pm I may continue, but not begin anything new.
Please tell us what was in the jars, it looked good 😊
Windfall Apple sauce!
Enchanted Rose Costumes oh, I thought it was caramel, and thought maybe you had a thing for caramel like I do. I mean, applesauce is still great, but . . . .
I love it so much!
Oohhh!😍🥰❤❤❤🧝♂️
Once again I’m n awe 🙌🏻
Was the strap version comfortable ? It looks as though it might not be, but then using linen as the straps probably helps to make it comfortable. Love your Autumn extras and the music you chose.
Woot!!
I love your videos!! Did you actually make your favourite gown?
I've now watched this several times because I think it could be a good option for wearing under my modern empire waist dresses. Have you ever used it under a modern dress?
Hmm. Will the dress be a 'Chemise a la Reine? And your petticoat was an enjoyable vlog. BTW how is the area Velvet Charles Frederick Worth gown coming?
Hello
Wish it were cooler in Central California
Beautiful. What editing software do you use for your channel
any chance of a video or a link to a video on how to make a manikin for your body? I would love that
lololol loved it
