Spectacular Air Zermatt Helicopter Flight over Matterhorn Aug 22nd 2017 (Copilot seat, GoPro 5 2.7k)

This video was taken during a 20 minute sightseeing helicopter flight with an Airbus Eurocopter AS350B3e Ecureuil (code HP-ZPB, built 2011) with Air Zermatt from the Heliport in Zermatt.
Take off was August 22, 2017 at 4PM with spectacular weather conditions - almost no clouds and clear visibility.
Starting altitude: 1701m
Highest altitude (over Matterhorn): 4554m
Maximum speed: 306.4 km/h
Temperature in Zermatt at Heliport around 20° Celsius
Flight route: starting from Zermat Heliport northbound, then west over Hohlicht glacier, then south crossing Rothorn glacier, flying southwest to Matterhorn, circle around one time, then southeast over Furgg glacier to Gorner glacier over new Monte Rosa hut - to Unterrothorn station (short landing) and back to Heliport.
This video was taken with a GoPro Hero 5 Black in 2.7k 60fps mode. The audio has been left original to give you the actual flight feeling.
Before you post hate comments about the video quality, consider that the video has been taken by my 12 year old son to capture his experience of a lifetime - and not to deliver a professional documentary of the Matterhorn... It is also not shared to gain any profit or achieve clicks for advertising - but to share for those who might not have the opportunity - and to pay respect to the work of AirZermatt which is as a priority non touristic rescue and construction flights.

We did this same flight 3 months ago in September 2019. Absolutely amazing and worth every penny! Zermatt and the Matterhorn are not to be missed when in Switzerland!

Echt der Wahnsinn, ich war schon einmal in Täsch,- an Eure Air Plattform vorbei, nach Zermatt und auf dem Gornergrat, um das Matterhorn von der schönen Seite aus zu betrachten..... das Video ist echt eine Ergänzung. Nächstes Mal fliege ich mit .

Mann, da siehst du alles rundherum und ganz wenig das Matterhorn.Der Heli soll etwas Abstand halten und etwas tiefer fliegen, sonst sieht man das Horn kaum.Das meiste ist Himmel.Das sollen super Aufnahmen sein???

Mucho thanks for posting! Altogether breathtaking. Route appears planned for max variety of terrain, & much more. At 13:53, I like that the pilot has flown way beyond the peak, then turned around to show the Matterhorn from a different perspective. It is still recognizable. Any chance of adding a little dialogue, or captions, to learn what else we are seeing here? Mountaineer's point of view. Geologist's point of view. To me, the plant freak, amazing to see a hint of green where glaciers so recently lay.

Climbed the Matt back in the 60s with mate Chris Scott .Cannot believe we did it after seeing this video but only in our twenties then .Going back for a looksee next year hopfully .

Wonderful footage. Thank you. What is on top of the mountain at 10:01 - at that point, you can see it with the blue lake behind it.
That little lake is already in Italy! If I am not wrong it is called ''Goillet Lake'' and located at 2500 meters elevation . On top of Cervino - Matterhorn there is a Christian Cross and that is on almost every important or big mountains. Some people have start to place Buddha statues
I see two villages Breuil Cervinia Italian side and mount Matterhorn is Italy.Switzerland is 200 meters from Matterhorn( Cervinia)and Zermatt.

Einfach super da können die Deutschen + Österreicher Touristen sehen was ein wirklicher Berg ist wo über 4000m Hoch sind.
