Note, I misunderstood the specs. Both the normal GSXR1000 and the GSXR1000R have the same engine. The reason I felt a difference was I was being a bit braver. (Note you do not see everything from the ride in the review)
It is really, really fast innit! I was lucky to take one around a track last week and it blew my mind. So easy to ride but so blindingly fast. I'm not a sportsbike fan but I want one! Haha.
Also gotta say I've got a gsxr 1000 k6 and I test rode one of these last year. Mind-blowing how easy it was to ride and manage on the road. And they're seriously quick faster than an s1000rr in my opinion
Nice one Spicy, not the norm review wise. Must of been a blast. Great bike. With this and the new Blade, lots of nice new toys out there to try at the moment. Cheers.
Being a tall rider myself (6 foot 7/8) I feel your pain with sports bikes, but I love them! :) I ride one myself and I feel more comfy in the leant over position personally!
Sleepingdragon 1 I ride a 1989 GSX600F :) sporty, but not too sporty! Yeah a few bikes feel very small, but even if they are small and I look silly on them, I don't care because my height isn't my fault, so it shouldn't stop me getting then bikes I want :D
Under the backseat is only for your papaers and the PC-5 ...TC-10 kills your engine...put it on 3 or if u're not affraid and U can controle the bike without problems...just put it on TC-1 :)
my buddy test rode this bike looking to purchase it. the dealer insisted he have the traction control on 10. 2mins down the road he put it down to five. after the test ride he got back to the dealer (with it back on 10) told them the traction control was to intrusive and was slower than his gsxr600. didn't buy it.
Lol mate tc10 is literally for a muddy field, tc5 should have allowed full throttle without intrusion which would eat his 600 for breakfast and shit it out
I would probably mess up my wrists with a sportsbike so it's not for me. I do like the slow riding assist since mine is only 660cc but hates going slow and you have to use the clutch all the time while going 20-30 mph so it's a good thing to have it on a more powerful bike. As for steering well yeah I forgot how to do U turns since my bike needs a parking lot for that lol
Cool can't wait to see the video :) when i here about the V Strom 250 and see the pictures of the bike i was thinking of getting it but i'll wait for your review
hey spicy. i'm going to try and make it down for the sausage fest. if I can make it would you be interested in trying my 2004 daytona 600. it's the old 4 cylinder one and feels very different to the newer 3 cylinders
I want one so bad. More so the 750. I have an 03 R6 and love it but my body need a lighter bike. Have a really bad back. Great vid be well be safe. Hey is the headlight not knew ??? Oh and that 10 mode is for Canada The guy in the igloo down the street has one.
spicy110 I did go sit on one, and I was surprised to find that it was pretty comfortable, the seating position kind of reminded me of my old ZX-14 which is less than 3" longer than this Gixxer, now to find a dealer that isn't marking them up almost 4K for the base model.
I said the exact same in my video about the brakes on this bike... I mentioned it to the guys at Haslemere, it could just be an adjustment thing apparently... Other than that it is certainly a fine bike and I'm very tempted by it...
I feel like I am too tall for sports bikes, When I get going at some speed I feel like Im going to get blown off the bike if I am not siting really far back and leaning into the bike like you should. But the thing is when I do this my neck physically can not move up enough to see much in front of me without snapping lol. Also my boots are huge and legs are huge so the rear brake and the gear selector being really far back is really awkward for me, BUT they can be fun to ride cos fast :P
+Aaron Lamb this bike had 250 miles on it so count go nuts in the revs but I got up there a couple of times. The issue is the speed you are already going at that point haha
The thing is all the soundproofing is in that end can unlike most other superbikes. This means that chassis design isn't compromised by trying to find space under the bike and as most riders will replace the can anyway I think Suzuki got it right.
Nice bike I'm not sure who is it for in the U.K. If you don't do track days on regular basis. ... You will get nicked by coppers due to speed and as soon as you leave it some scumbag will push it away on the scooter. This is a bike if you live in Germany.
The Beast agreed. I like Spicy but he's not the right person to review this bike because it's not a bike made for a rider like him. Nothing wrong with always being on the sump line, tickling the speed limit but that kind of rider wouldn't buy a gsxr1000 so it's sort of a "what would someone who would never even want this bike think of riding it" video. It's like Brad Wiggins reviewing a full fat downhill bike, he's a great bike rider but his thoughts wouldn't be relevant to the machinery.
Call me old fashioned but I hate the front light. Either do the 'no front lights' à la R1 or make them decent. If that front light was an air intake it would look like an anus. Don't get me wrong - I've lusted after the gixxer since the early eighties when the headlights were round and there were two of them. Beauty is in the beholder I guess.... Those wings on the front fairing under the mirrors look like a right liability. Gold anodising on the fork tops is tacky ! All those screens are for people who still think digital watches are a good idea ;-) What we need is two conventional dials for rippums and mph and then a display for the fiddly stuff. There. I've slagged it off ! But really I would love one. But that blue paint. When did they go all 'metalic' ? I want the royal blue & white with red trim ! Oh no - I'm getting old.........
That is 1 hot bike but its the type of bike I wouldn't buy its OK to buy if your doing track days but not for the normal road because you can't use its full potential that and if I did ever get one and drop it I would kill myself 😢 it's super nice. The weirdness is true Japanese make All over for example I have an import Toyota celica 1990 modle and were most cars have the indicators on the right well this car has them on the left 🤣 it's good to be different.
Note, I misunderstood the specs. Both the normal GSXR1000 and the GSXR1000R have the same engine. The reason I felt a difference was I was being a bit braver. (Note you do not see everything from the ride in the review)

But can it go greenlaning?
No it can't, so that must mean the Lexmoto diablo is better ;)
Everything can go greenlaning, now will you be going home on it is a whole different question
VtwinVlogster Ask Baron von Grumble.
Any bike can go greenlaning, it's getting back out that's the difficult thing.
no just cleaning it is the tricky part
I love the bike, especially without the OEM sidecase/exhaust.
And btw, BvG rode his GSXR in the snow, they must have made TCS level 10 for him :D
Just come across your channel spicy110. Watched your 2 gsxr video reviews and I like your style of videos. Great narration etc. New subscriber 👍
My precious... This bike is the best New hypersport ever produce for the street +this is à suzuki engine
I'm liking the new content Spicy. keep it up and ride safe.
I love it --- the bike is the first to come with a "snow mode"
Nice one Spicy, not the norm review wise. Must of been a blast. Great bike. With this and the new Blade, lots of nice new toys out there to try at the moment. Cheers.

See this bike being unboxed here: ruclips.net/video/PIpNqVX__4s/видео.html
So you admit its an unboxing not an uncrating!
XD hahaha
You'll have to test ride the Kwaka ZX10RR and let me know if the suzuki is comfier and more suitable for normal day riding
very enjoyable video spicy, my lane slitting hoodie arrived and i love it!
+Jordan Capel sweet thanks for the support dude
are you a road emo?
yeah rawr XD
That thing is a beast and i see you got some nice dry weather for it aswell.
Also it says uncreated instead of uncrated in the desc :P
shame its out of his leauge
Great review, thanks! Look forward to seeing what you think of the R.....
That little play in front break is to avoid ppl that ride with finger on break to do unadverted breaking in case of sudden bump.
Nice bike, wonderful country
😍😍😍😍
Traction control 10 is for greenlaning. In the snow.
I passed my CBT today :D
+Marron Aisaka nice!! Congratulations
ts757arse haha I've already bought a derbi drd. Been sitting in my back garden for more than 2 months but now I'll be able to take it out.
Marron Aisaka Outstanding!
welcome!
hazard button is really only there because they had to put it somewhere and with there not being a normal starter button they had a hole to fill
How did you get so spicy , is it from riding bikes fast ?
Under the backseat is only for your papaers and the PC-5 ...TC-10 kills your engine...put it on 3 or if u're not affraid and U can controle the bike without problems...just put it on TC-1 :)
Great review....Look forward to seeing this in a shoot out. I've a feeling this will win.

Spicy are you going to do a review of the Suzuki V Strom 250 when it come out?
+Black Dragonrider yes! Indeed I am
+anubis -1st thanks for the other but I'm not riding any bikes this year. I missed a few people last time because of it., 😀
I want one so bad. More so the 750. I have an 03 R6 and love it but my body need a lighter bike. Have a really bad back. Great vid be well be safe. Hey is the headlight not knew ??? Oh and that 10 mode is for Canada The guy in the igloo down the street has one.
Hi Spicy - do you watch the genius that is the AvE channel?
+M E my dick has been I'm a vise for a long time!
That should chooch then - release the Schmoo! Gutten Tight like a German Virgin😉
My favourite sports bike nice 👍👍👍👍👍
Very nice bike man grats.
Does it have OEM steering damper?
Yes.
So I'm 6'8, and what you're saying is, it's not gonna work for taller folk?.
+kyokushinkuma try it but yer I don't think at 6'8 you are going to ride any sports bike comfortably
spicy110 I did go sit on one, and I was surprised to find that it was pretty comfortable, the seating position kind of reminded me of my old ZX-14 which is less than 3" longer than this Gixxer, now to find a dealer that isn't marking them up almost 4K for the base model.
The front end starts to come up around 65 mph when you tack about 100000 and pulls hard
Such a beauty!
How are the mirrors? Sorry if i missed it.
+Brett Wendel I didn't mention them they are usable but not amazing.
I said the exact same in my video about the brakes on this bike... I mentioned it to the guys at Haslemere, it could just be an adjustment thing apparently...
Other than that it is certainly a fine bike and I'm very tempted by it...
+metalhead18241 I have not seen it as I don't watch reviews for bikes before I review it I don't want to be influenced
is this better than zx10r?
MORE ENJOYABLE AS IT HAS PLENTY LOW /MEDIUM END TORQUE....UNLIKE THE ZX 10R
"motion track braking system" ;-)
Ah that's what they called it!
Try 600cc gsx suzuki let me no what you think mate.
I feel like I am too tall for sports bikes, When I get going at some speed I feel like Im going to get blown off the bike if I am not siting really far back and leaning into the bike like you should. Im 6'5 260 and i ride supersports at the track and commute to work and feel just fine
did you hit VTEC?
+Aaron Lamb this bike had 250 miles on it so count go nuts in the revs but I got up there a couple of times. The issue is the speed you are already going at that point haha
Its nice.. but secretly prefer Divi ... But then i always have
My NC700 sits at 3.5k rpm at 70mph and at that has plenty of overtake torque. So yeah, I would hope this does at 4.5k !
+Craig Sutcliffe this bike does rev to 14-15,000 rpm.
spicy110 I know. Just saying I would be disappointed if a litre bike didn't have overtaking power at any revs :)
+Craig Sutcliffe in 6th too that's my point some need more revs from what I have ridden
to me its weird seeing you on a sports bike compared to the usual. its a nice bike though.
Have you been watching AVE? ( a treat especial)
Well spotted. ;-)
Focus, you FUCK!! haha
welcome back to the empire of dirt.
They gave you the non-touring version, the one without the included side pannier. Nice....
The thing is all the soundproofing is in that end can unlike most other superbikes. This means that chassis design isn't compromised by trying to find space under the bike and as most riders will replace the can anyway I think Suzuki got it right.
Nice one spicy
Khi nào max speed thử đi bạn😁
Mm big bikes for short guys .let's face it they need all the help they can get 😁
It’s amazing if it ain’t broke don’t fix it
please do an r125 review
Nice bike I'm not sure who is it for in the U.K. If you don't do track days on regular basis. ... You will get nicked by coppers due to speed and as soon as you leave it some scumbag will push it away on the scooter. This is a bike if you live in Germany.
+10secondsrule the video make on the way home from this review is online and called are motorcycle getting too fast?....
Like the video, thanks for posting! Bad low-speed turning radius? How effing cares!?
The guy doing a million point turn at the local bike spot haha. In all honesty I don't really care about it buy people always ask.
I do. I commute on my GSXR1000. My bike is my only transport. It has to do everything.
Nice :P
I think Baron rode his hp4 in snow....
Intro music?
The only thing that looks cheap is the dash not being color.
"Treat especial"? Has someone been watching AvE too?
+Alex Withers been watching him since before he really blew up
Ill be honest I think I was with his latest 'wave'. Started watching when RUclips told me to watch the Dyson hairdryer video. I'm now a sub.
Not exactly 'lamb chopped' it, have you?
+The Beast?
spicy110 ridden as if stolen?
The Beast agreed. I like Spicy but he's not the right person to review this bike because it's not a bike made for a rider like him. As I am still paying for it0
6foot4Suzuki
Same engine as the base model. Same power.
Yes I know I got that wrong, I think I was just braver! 😂
