    i would like to tell you big THANK YOU for putting so much work for this videos, im specialy interested in N43 engine and 1series content so in this video is everything i would like to see. Thank you for camera work, for right lightning, for right coments, for funny jokes, for torqu specs and for so much informations about engine, for showing oil pump rebuild from 116i (i was forced to buy new from bmw) everything is perfect! you and M539_restorations are best channels ever! keep it up in this form.

    Metal shavings can get inside the vanos units, i would open the units and clean the inside.

    RESTEKP ! I work on my e92 as much as possible by myself. Some of the solutions are very simple and straightforward and some of them (like exchange the hose form gas tank) are totaly WTF.

    Awesome video! Very useful for someone like me who owns a n43 e90. Also a side note, I believe IWIS makes the original timing chains, not INA, they're great nonetheless.

      Thanks, I watch RUclips too, so from my perspective there is a deficit of content creators filming fixing car in this detailed way, hence why I am doing all of this. But well this is also the reason why people compare me to M539😃

    Did I miss something or didn't you lube up the bearings with assembly lube or engine oil? That and the marks in the head and something that looked like score marks in a cylinder was the only thing that had me wondering.
    Great job. I really enjoy your videos!

      All the bearings got lubed, the marks in the head is very interesting, maybe the workshop dropped something in there or something? And the cylinder walls looked good, no damage. Thanks😊

    The instructions that came with my crank seals, clearly state 'no oil,' and wait at least four hours before turning the crank.

    e92 and bmw’s in general are pretty expensive here in Latvia, the reason is that we are nuts about our beemers.😅 Big drifting culture is also to blame. 🤓 My first car was e36 coupe some twenty years ago and I still drive only BMW’s.😎

      Yes same in Norway, cant get one for under 100k kr, thats why i bought this😂

      Yes, but mostly because we opened it up and it had severe scoring marks in it, I do it in the previous video

      Ok interesting! bmw explicitly says the fly lock pin won’t hold that torque 😁 was the timing tool from BGS ?

      @@bigdeal87 some universal from eBay, if you want to do it propertly you need spesial locking tool from bmw made for crankshaft

    So as far as i know - SWAG is the same as Febi , but i prefer to not use Febi parts ever , because they are poor quality for past 5 years . I would suggest to use only "IWIS" timing chain kits because it's OEM parts with scraped bmw logo off . Inna is good also , but not as trusted as "IWIS"

    You know that hole that you sealed directly next to the main seal is where the sealent should seep out of when doing the bedplate sealent procedure ? You got a inlet nossel where you inject the sealent, and then and next to the main seal there should be one or two outlet holes. Out of those holes there should the sealent start coming out, then you know that the sealent is properly distributed. Elsewise if you didn’t do it that way, you could expect a oil leak real soon. 🥲

      Yes, but it only applies if you are using the injection method to seal the bedplate

    Termostat map 105° 😡
    Io sulla mia z4e85 2.0i n46b20 ho cambiato termostato map con uno da 85°
    Ora l'auto ha 302000km e non ho mai dovuto sostituite nulla.
    Solo alternatore e notorino di avviamento.
    Problemi sulle serie N sono le alte temperature!!!!!!
