I love that the upgraded battery is compatible with the previous Reflex models too!
I'll take four!
Well I need one of those.
Plz🙏can u do a video explaining/reviewing the flash photography capabilities. RUclips has barley any reviews on the original model. And even those reviews are just talking not acrually demoing this
Its video lighting features dont need a demo, but the photography does
Plz consider showcasing event photogeaphy indoor/outdoor. Not just a studio demo
I just subscribed to your channel. I hope this wish comes true.
@@VirtousStoic Thank you for subscribing! That content is coming very soon!
There are a lot of videos discussing that topic. I’ve probably watched a good amount of them lol.
This looks great.
I literally JUST purchased the original one at the B&H BILD Expo where it was being used on some of the photo walks.
I teach and it's great, of course, for use in continuous mode so that students don't need to swap triggers.
I'm understanding that this new version allows you to achieve the 9000 Lumens with the new, upgraded Stella Pro handle battery and there is no need for the 100W power source to achieve that.
Is that correct?
I'm bringing a group to South Africa in a month (I work with a Wildlife Conservation Non-Profit) and it would be great to get the 9000 Lumens without having to bring the additional 100W power source.
I'm also understanding that the new 1/4-20 mount is on the base, allowing for mounting on a light stand or pole without the need to turn the Reflex upside down.
Is that correct?
If so, I'd certainly like the newer version and am wondering if you can do some kind of trade in.
I haven't even used the one I got at the BILD Expo yet.
Thank you, Charles Chessler
Hello Charles, Thank you for supporting StellaPro! You are correct in both questions. The new upgrade allows you to achieve full power, made possible by the new battery. As for the 1/4-20 mount, you now have one on the base of the battery and the mount on the top of the light head! We would like to help by offering you a discount on the upgraded battery! Please reach out to Shannon, our Customer Success Manager, at sdavison@lightandmotion.com for more information.
@@StellaProLights Thank you so much...have been in touch with Shannon. :-)
If I'm not mistaken, these lights already achieve these power settings when plugged into a 100W power supply or 100W battery. So I'm assuming the only thing that's changed is the battery pack and perhaps a firmware update to unlock the 30fps. Now all we need is a way to gel these lights while using all the great modifiers that are available to us.
Hello, you are correct the lights will achieve the full power of the light when plugged into any 100watt source. However with the new battery you can achieve the full power without the need to be plugged into a wall or external source. This new battery and firmware update will also allow you to shoot up to 30FPS.
@@StellaProLightsso the light unit is the same as last year's model & just the battery changed or the whole package?
I like this light for run and gun video, but it doesn’t work with my Godox R2PROII trigger, if I want to use it as a strobe. Made sure it’s in G (Godox), Pwr, same channel and group. Firmware is up to date. Any suggestions?
If you are using another flash can the Stella Pro Reflex S be triggered to flash as well when the other flash goes off first?
well done, now I need to sell my Aeos2 pro :)
Let us know when you are ready to make the switch!
@@StellaProLights I put the Aeos already out for sale :D
So what about us who spent thousands for the 1st version...? We have to spend thousands again for the upgraded version?
I'm unfamiliar with how to compare across LED's and strobes - but I'm looking to invest in my first outdoor portable portrait lighting solution. Is there a strobe equivalent value, such as watt seconds, this will deliver at full power?
I did not get 9,000 lumens on my Reflex S in continuous light,
The MAX I get out of it is 6,000 Lumens. How did you get that 9,000 lumens ??
IS the studio model also upgraded?
Hello! Yes it is the biggest change will be the capability of firing up to 30 fps!
How is this different than the current Reflex S lights? Side by Side Comparison
More R&D better spent on accessories that work not an after thought and then have to Jerry-rig it.
Hi Reuben, with a now slighty larger battery handle the Reflex gives you 50% more burst power, double the run time, 50% more continuous power, and is now 50% faster - now 30 frames per second full power bursts.
The light bit is the same, just the batery handle is upgraded? Is that right? @@StellaProLights
