For four years, I had the privilege of living in rural France. The air there was so clean and sweet, scented by the thousands of square miles of countryside which surrounded my dwelling. The air was alive and seemed to breath me! It was a true joy to breath and I became naturally mindfull of each delicious breath. When I returned to England to live in the small town of Wigton in Cumbria, the stench from a plastics factory made my breath reluctant and resistent. I have moved away from Wigton now. What occured to me is that Thays mindfull breathing is so natural; it is how we should breath in clean natural air. The fact that we need to work at it shows what we have lost - clean living air.
This will be my theme for a sermon this Sunday. I preach at an assisted living facility in Naples, Florida. These teachings by a Vietnamese Buddhist monk are so universal they welcomed by my parishioners. What a blessing Thich Nhat Hanh's message has been to our generation!

I just discovered this Blessing to ALL but Recently...I am filled with Love & Hope...Beloved Thay
