@@somebodytolove1902 I've literally never heard of Senzawa until 10 seconds ago when this popped up in my recommendations, and I can tell you that I'm like 99% sure @Battfro is referring to the fact that whoever voiced Senzawa has such a distinct pitch and intonation in her voice that anyone who's not deaf can instantly notice it's the same person voicing Gura now.
Shit I recognized her voice off a few seconds long clip of the Bell Delphine song someone had shown in their video. I could pick it out of a line up.

@@rjk0d48j27 i agree peoples' voices change both with mood and age and she's still really young, but you could have put that across a bit better; with commas, preferably.
another point though is that i'm an audio engineer by trade (as in, it's my job) and i can tell you quite confidently that she's not using a voice changer., as you would be able to hear some artefacting. i think it's just a combination of her being shyer, more chill and, yeah, probably younger in her senzawa form. why guys have this obsession with "every vtuber is using a voice changer" i have no idea, especially with the EN girls; i mean, none of the EN people even sound that unnatural or "moe kawaii uwu", they just sound like normal adult women.

Several vids of the Hololive girls reacting to and hating their starting voices, mannerisms, character etc. Sure they could be playing it up but I’m certain to a degree they’re honest about the feeling.

Actually no. As somebody born with Prosopagnosia (facial blindness), I've actually introduced myself to people I've known for long periods of time because they wore their hair differently that day, or because they wear new clothing that doesn't match the rest of their wardrobe. I often rely on the fluctuation in people's voices to help in identifying them.
For example, I could immediately tell this was the same person, because even though everything seems more elongated (the word lasts a little longer), there's still that airy "space" inbetween everything she says, as though she doesn't know which word is coming next before she's said it (it indicates to me this person isn't a confident speaker).
Between the two, it always seems like she's struggling to find where she is in the sentence (similar types of people will often "ummm" or interject the word "like" inbetween words in order to "buy time" while they search for the next word).
I don't want to claim to be "different", but my girlfriend could have plastic surgery to change her face, and I'm honestly not sure I'd notice so long as she didn't do anything to alter her voice...
And, I mean, I assume she probably doesn't look like her avi...I mean, I guess that could always be the case, but still...

Her voice is rather unique so yeah, unless she deliberately talks in a different tone when streaming there's no way people wouldn't recognize her. Even if this isn't her actual voice I know there are enough maniacs out there who'd be able to recognize her just from the way she talks.

The thing about Senzawa is it isn't just her voice that made us realize who else she is its all the clues like her new persona having a see through cowboy in the top left hand corner of their first ever Stream or the one frame in Country Roads by Senz where a random "A" just appears in her mouth or even when she was talking with someone else on a Stream she redid the exact same conversation she had in one of her old Streams in one of her more recent Minecraft streams. Its insanely obvious that she wants people to know and has used ways besides her voice to do so.
