Thank you Daniel, you are a font of information and we really appreciate what you do to try save us from wasting our resin. For that I am grateful. You are so thoughtful
It's July 2024. I'm just beginning my journey. Today I used another brand resin. The alcohol resins didn't spread at all.! I'm glad I only did 2 small coasters. Thank you, Daniel for you great tutorials! I'm a 73 yr old great grandma, who's making ornaments for the kids!
You use the same method for mixing as I do by stirring then rolling the silicone pot in your palm whilst holding the silicone stirrer up tight to the edge. A. It helps in mixing correctly. B. It makes sure everything in the pot gets mixed correctly. C. It means you can poor all the mixed resin out and scrape every last drop out rather than decant into another pot. D. There's less to clean up. E. No resin is wasted. Which is my pet hate wasting resin as it's not cheap. F. Your resin will be fully mixed which helps with timings being uniform every time and will fully set rather than being sticky. Or having a resin that has more hardener up to resin itself which can cause deformation in your project/art works like a odd skin to the surface. I love your videos and I thank you for the idea of adding equal amounts of sinker white to isopropanol. Which I also use for cleaning up and then I use Holt's silicone spray as it's cheap to nourish my silicone pots/mixing jugs and stirrers as I treat it like skin. We use moisturiser and silicone is similar to skin and needs moisturising to make them last alot longer than if you didn't use silicone spray. And just wipe with a wet wipe or kitchen towel and then warm water and soap to clean up after use....
I would just like to say I love watching your videos. However I can never get spours no matter how hard I try. I'm hoping if I watch enough videos somehow it will happen lol. Love watching!
Oh Daniel, this new tutorial is the answer I have needed. Have been ready discouraged with the bloobies in my pours. Have followed your directions closely but continue to get the blobs. The information on Lets Resin New formula has been so helpful to me. I had no idea. What a difference it has made.
Thank you! I was up to my eyeballs in resin, last week! All sorts of combinations!!! So much fun! I LOVE Learning! I have many different resins, but not the LR. No worries! I am enjoying learning as I gain experience!!! LOL Is Wisdom up next!!! LOL Not this soon!!! We appreciate the time you have taken to put up this video! Very best to you and yours! Blessings and Re Jouir -Darlene
Thanks Dar, so glad you are experimenting, it's the best way to learn. Combo's are the right way to get the best results. So happy you are taking on board how to tweak and get the best results 🥰
Awesome video! So when you say you can wait 40 minutes, does that mean 40 minutes after you've poured the resin into the mold and then add the ink and original sinker? And then wait another hour and twenty minutes to stir?
Did Let’s Resin ever explain who they changed the formula in their alcohol inks and discontinued colors? The bottles with the smooth black tops drop so much more nicely
Wow, that’s amazing. Thank you so much for the information & instructions how to fix it & then the demonstration. I’m sure you just saved many people from wasted time & money. Kind of stinks that we have to wait an extra hour to stir now…that’s going to be a headache. Thanks again, you’re the best! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hi Daniel, Any chance you know of another white sinker, cause none available on Amazon and lets resin company is not delivering to Ireland at the moment 😢
I'm new to all of this. Thank you for your video tutorials. I've been watching them multiple times! For the c deeper white using 99% Isopropyl, will I get the same effects using Pinata blanco blanco? Thank you.
I honestly thought I was going insane... I was using lets resin brand and was doing the same techniques, but was not getting the results I wanted. This explains a lot 😅
Hi daniel i have few questions to ask, what is c deeper and white sinker and white alcohol ink ? What is the biggest difference of these three, also can i mix acrylic color white with isopropyl alcohol to get white sinker?
Hi, a sinker white is an alcohol ink which contains white pigment, you can also buy opaque alcohol inks which already contain the sinker white. As for acrylics, I have tried but they are water based and that does not work well with resin.
Thanks for your information daniel.I am from india, i buy resin from reputed brand in india, but the petri effects are deep but touching the bottom of the resin surface which looks ugly, give me some tips.
Daniel I'm a bit confused. If I don't want to change the C Deeper, do I wait the 40 minutes to add the alcohol or just the CDeeper? I have time, but not the 99%alcohol. Thanks, Hugs from 🇨🇦
Just the sinker white 😊 however, you may find adding both after 40mins gives a different result. Sometimes the alcohol ink colors spread less after waiting some time, have a play 😁
Out of curiosity, what do you do with pieces you don’t like? I find myself really hesitant to practice because of the waste, which means I’m never great at it because I’m not practicing. 🤦🏼♀️. I hate the idea of throwing them away.
I like LR for my clear stuff like pictures and jewelry pieces using inks but I do like how thick Alumilite resin is too when I use mica and I can demold the pieces after 12 hrs cuz it cures so fast. But man, bubble galore with that one. Just wondering if you would consider other brands of resin?
Yes, I'm thinking of changing resin until the old formula is back again or the white is adjusted. I have a few other brands I can use which give similar results 😊
I just recently found your channel and was quick to subscribe. You are so talented. But I have a big question… I have the same mold as you, Let’s Resin resin and alcohol inks and sinker white. However, every piece has the spores rising up from the sides and ruining the piece. HELP! What am I doing wrong?
@@daniel..cooper is that the same as the sinker white that comes in a two pack? If so, that’s what I have. The spores in the middle are fine but the sides creep up and nearly cover the dome part. Does that make sense?
@@daniel..cooper no the tops are like your original ones but I should have watched this whole video before I asked the question. My sinker white (undiluted) acts like your new formula Lets Resin with the blobs creeping up the sides. I’ll try diluting my white like you recommended and try again. Thank you so much for your tutorials and for such a quick response!
Hi Dan - I have been trying these for a week now and I have used black ink and metallic ink as well as the colours and the white sinker. I wait for 45 min, test with a stick and when I try and swirl I am just dragging a blob of 'ink skin' around. What am I doing wrong? any help would be appreciated!
Hi Daniel! I am writing this quite a bit later than this video, but was curious about something. I haven't had any problems with resin except for this last batch. (New bottles) I feel that because of the pandemic, one way or another, they are still shipping the new recipe. If I understand correctly, as of this date, May 26th, they technically have changed back to their old recipe. How were you able to tell unequivocally that it was a different recipe? Is there a special UPC code I should check or a certain date? Could it be they are still shipping the ones with that recessed cap? Mine does have a recessed cap, but I thought by now they stopped shipping it.
Hi, the only origional recipe now is the collab resin with my name on the box. I have put the links in my most recent video description. Any other sets are the new, lower viscosity resin.
Hello Daniel👋 I have a question for you. I have the resin inks from Octopus. But they are very heavily pigmented. Do you think I can just stretch these out with isopropanol to make them flow better? Greetings from Jazzy from Germany
Thank you for this. I tried LR resin a few weeks ago and all the white dropped fully to the bottom and it took forever to harden. I couldn't figure out what was wrong! So frustrating and a bit waste of money for me! I did try using the normal white though and it seemed to work well- so that might be worth an experiment. It looks to me like the pieces with the modified version of c deeper are actually more vivid and the colors retain their separation better? I do wish LR would sell their colors separately - I use some far more quickly than others!!!
Superbe , magnifique !!!!!!!!!!! 💖💖💖💖💖

Bad form for this company, which you have done so much for, change the resin without telling you ahead of time. Your pieces are always so lovely.
Thanks Pam, fingers crossed they keep the old formula or change the white 🤞
The colors are brighter with the new mix. Very nice!

Hi Daniel! Just when I am getting good results they change the formula! 🙄
At least we have you to show us how to adapt. 👍
Thank you very much. 👍☺️🇬🇧

Awesome video! So when you say you can wait 40 minutes, does that mean 40 minutes after you've poured the resin into the mold and then add the ink and original sinker? And then wait another hour and twenty minutes to stir?
40mins to 60mins after adding my alcohol inks 😊
However, if the sinker is too heavy, wait 40mins for the clear to thicken up, then add inks, then wait a little longer to stir.
Did Let’s Resin ever explain who they changed the formula in their alcohol inks and discontinued colors? The bottles with the smooth black tops drop so much more nicely
Ocean blue is now Cerulean and Rose red is magenta in the 26 ink set. I have asked if the bottles can be changed as these ones are messy 😂

Hi Emma, you can use piñata and dilute it down 😊
do i add water or alcohol? x
Isopropanol, check tutorial #22 for dilution rates 😊
They don't deliver to Aus either and my pinata white even diluted, is awful.
I love 💕 your positive attitude with the change in formula. Your work is amazing and I’m sure you’ll tweak it to get the same outstanding results.

Why would they change the formula??? I’m just getting the hang of alcohol ink???? Makes it sound confusing 😢
