You are very impressive with this art style!! I love the black background. It really does make the colors come alive. Thank you for sharing your beautiful art pieces and techniques!!

Yay, you're back! So glad to see another video! 😊 You have been inspiring me for over a year but, due to tech difficulties between Google and my device (they didn't like each other, apparently), I was unable to leave likes or comments until about 2 months ago. Sent u a coffee today in appreciation for what you so kindly do for us! I just regret I can't do this very often, nor as much as I would like, as we are living on a tight retirement budget (like so many others). Your tutorials are invaluable, and your voice is so calming. Thank you for that, too. 😊 Daniel, I have been wondering...would it be possible for you to do a cloud tech tutorial using UV resin and alcohol inks/white sinker? I have a little bit left of a JDiction bottle that I'm reluctant to waste since I am so inexperienced, still. I definitely understand if that's too expensive, though! Thank you for your consideration. 🙂 And, now...to watch the rest of the video! 😊
Not sure you'll see this, Daniel, but perhaps I should just use regular resin dyes and a white pigment paste (for the sinker), if I try this technique with UV resin? Rather than using alcohol inks, I mean?
Beautiful, all of them, Daniel! Even though blue isn't "my color", they are gorgeous! I'm impressed with how well the leaves turned out, too! A note: as a former fiber dyer, it is well known to us that black, brown, and purple pigments are famous for "breaking" into their component colors, and we always held our breath when using them. 😊 We often have to wait until those colors dry first, before adding any others to our yarn or fabric, to avoid disastrous muddying. I guess that would be the same as partly curing the resin before adding the black alcohol ink. I suspect 'pigments are pigments' regardless of what they're used for, and they might all share certain characteristics we're not so fond of. Thank you, again, for a lovely video! 😊
Working on these now- I can’t get enough of your techniques! Bought the double sinkers and used the little bottles- it comes out so fast! But good control w practice. Also- how did your flowers not spread into a weird alien blob?
Dan, would it give the same results if you don't do the black, let them cure and then back with black epoxy or UV resin? Maybe that would stop the risk of muddying. Also, using colour theory to plan your colours out before you start so you don't use colours or shades that won't blend nicely.
@@daniel..cooper Hello! Your favorites are mine too, too bad for that mud that occasionally comes out with purple and pink. I think it happens when the color is low and goes into transparency, where it is more compact I don't think it does. The final black unfortunately makes him notice more, what do you think? The idea of flowers is in the very best, they are lost a little but beautiful. 😊
Love when you have black in the background I thought you were going to wait a few more minutes after your stir to add your black but stunning absolutely ❤️

The only difference is I needed resin in a hurry, and ended up buying a set of Alumilite Amazing Clear Cast Resin. I knew after I poured that the consistency just wasn't right. I enjoy watching your videos. As always a great tutorial. I’m in my mother land, Bulgaria and it’s so hard to find the right resin and alcohol inks so I miss playing with resin. Do you have an experience with marabou inks.? And any advice?
Thanks Jelka, sadly, I haven't tried their normal inks, only the glitter one. From my experience, the main thing is the resin viscosity and the sinker white used.
How long do you wait after you prepare your resin to put in your inks? I know you have to let it get more viscous but not sure how to know when the consistency is just right to get these effects.
With this resin, straight after mixing and pouring, however, when I'm live on TikTok, my resin can be in the trays for up to 1 hour and I still get the same results, that will depend on room temperature etc.
