Mally Face Defender, it never gets enough credit. If you are in a humid climate or just want a matte T zone this transparent gel (not sure how to describe) gives you instant matte, small pore skin. Would love for you to review.

I have two things I do. I have dry to normal skin. I use my regular moisturizer, then a tinted moisturizer with very little tint in it, then foundation. This seems to make my makeup look more flawless and last longer. The other trick, I think I learned from you Stephanie if I’m not mistaken. I spritz setting spray on my concealer, let it dry, then set it and spray again. Works great at making concealer last throughout the day. Thanks for this video! 😘

My favorite "trick" is how I apply my hyaluronic acid serum. Some people find that The Ordinary's HA is sticky and doesn't sink into the skin. After washing my face, I don't dry it off. I apply the HA to my wet skin and let it dry completely. HAs need moisture, and this way it locks in the water left on my skin. AND, it dries down completely, no tackiness!

Love the tips. One tip I do each day when curling my lashes (I have your lashes!) is to heat the eyelash curler with my blow dryer. Curls quicker and lasts longer. I also have fine hair. This summer I started using the Dae Shampoo and Conditioner. I absolutely love it!! Enjoyed your video as always! 💕

I heat mine up too! Sometimes I hold it over the light bulb in my wall fixture for a second. Or I just hold it in my left hand to warm it up while I do something with my right hand. It does make a difference.

If I had to list my “can’t-without-this” tricks, it would be:
    1. Highlighting concealer on the outer corner of my eye
    2. Highlighting concealer under my brow on the outer 1/3
    3. Inner corner highlight
I instantly look awake, lifted, younger when I do the above! Xo

Not trying to downplay the effects of the vitamins or hair products, but I got a scalp massager and managed to get new hair growth, I guess from the increased blood flow. I have a very high forehead that receded back on each side. On the left, that recession is almost completely gone and on the right, it's filled in about halfway. I got new growth at the crown as well.

I agree with the lash curler as a must have. I have stick straight lashes, and if I get near steam or humidity, they fall flat. The second part to the curled lashes for me is having to use a good waterproof mascara to hold it all up. Finding a waterproof mascara that holds the curl is the other half of the battle.

Am on a The Ordinary skincare routine that includes the Hada Labo HA Lotion in Moist [white bottle] Niacinamide, Glycolic Acid, AHA-BHA [red] Peel with CeraVe lotion. As we fall into Winter months I need to up my moisturizer but I really need a THIN lotion that's not expensive as N Moisture Surge [it's too expensive as I go through it like, well, water. I LOVE the AUS Gold Sunscreen in Matte 50 SPF & can wear it as foundation on those hot days of Summer. It will prob be too dark so I will use Walgreen's 50 Sensitive sunscreen, no white cast. I want to try the Purito centella non-fragrance one but you have to order it a month or 2 before you actually need it. Now to figure out my curly hair! I have been on a huge search for what will keep my frizzy dyed hair keep its curl without all that static! I've tried plopping & a t-shirt at night but so far it was a success on only one side!

Great topic! My favorite transformative way I USE a product is by heating my eyelash curler so my eyelashes keep the curl I'm giving them. It's the same as any other hair curler for me as they only work if warmed up. I mean a cold curling rod wouldn't curl my stick straight hair. But once I warm up my curling rod or eyelash curler it makes the best and most lasting bends or curls. Here are the tips: 1. Heat the curler with your warm blow dryer. You don't want to get the curler too hot to touch...just warm! 2. Test the warm curler on the inside of your lower arm to ensure it's not too hot or still too cool before using near your face. If too hot just wait until it changes to warm or use the hair dryer cool setting to lower the temp some by blowing cool air back on the hot curler. 3. Set up curler carefully on eyelash hairs only and not skin. 4. Start your curl low on the hair near the skin. 5. Do a few squeezes of the curler as you go down the hair to make a nice big C curl. Then enjoy those glorious lashes!

It’s a bit pricey, but the Biossance squalane and glycolic renewal facial has been a game changer for me. I use it once a week (two if my skin is visibly acting up), leave it on for no more than five minutes, and every single time, my face looks brighter, healthier and firmer. It was a great renewal for my skin when I started using it, and is great reset in maintenance. It doesn’t bother my very dry, sensitive and rosacea-prone skin, and I see the results hours later, even overnight. And though it’s expensive, using it only occasionally has let mine last over six months with a bunch of product still to go. I’m really glad I decided to give it a shot. Thanks for the tip on setting eye primer, too. That’s genius and I’m so using that when I get ready tomorrow. Many thanks and much love!

Michelle Gerdes my skin is more balanced. I have oily skin and I don’t have nearly as much excessive oil production during the day. It has also shrank the look of my pores. I like it in the morning as well because it gives a nice boost of hydration without making my skin to greasy. It’s a really nice formulation and a nice price too. I prefer the formula to the Paula’s choice. I would like to try the Paula’s choice 20% because it’s formula sounds like the Maelove but I love the Maelove so much I don’t know if I want to risk it. I did try the cos de haha version and it’s nice too but the Maelove is still my fave!

If it helps I use 2 drops with 2 drops of the hyalauric acid serum in the morning. After cleansing I apply Paulas Choice 2% bha give that about 5 mins, then the niacinamide and serum, then a v light moisturiser and then sun screen. I have very oily skin and this works for me.

    Brow pencil
    Lip stick/balm
Bronzer can be used for an eyeshadow and I guess but never tried it brow pencil for liner.

Mac face and body! Its dewy, dont be scared, I'm oily too! Shelby Wilson has a video and swears by F&B. I got it and I've never loved anything more. If you dont like the dewy look on the perimeter, then it might not be for you. BUT I really set the t zone and oily areas with translucent powder. My holy grail is fenty translucent powder but my drugstore is maybelline fit me poreless translucent. I like that my tzone is matte but the sides of my face aren't completely flat. F&B is a sheer, light coverage as well. It is buildable but you have to work in layers. Apply with fingers, shake first. And if you need more layers, wait for the first layer to set for a few seconds!! Any questions ask me!! Hope this helps. No one else responded so I wanted to send you a suggestion

Honestly, the Ordinary preparation of Niacinamide is more effective, IMO. I was surprised that even Angie gave up on that Paula's Choice Niacinamide .I'm talking about the reputed pore-shrinking effect. The Ordinary seemed to work for me when I put it on either side of my nose when I do my serums, & it's not diluted by all those other ingredients in PC & additional serums. Just honest reporting here, Also, I do not have big pores, but still they seemed to get smaller, and be less visible if I stayed consistent with the Ordinary's Niacinamide.

Hi been loving your videos through this COVID season and I have a product that came in my fabfitfun box that has changed my life. I will be repurchasing it. I think a Risa got it in hers but I don’t remember if you did too. It’s the Dr Dennis Gross alpha beta pore perfecting and refining serum. It has changed my life. I can almost go primer and even makeup free (uneven skin tone so I prefer to wear foundation but can skip primer now) I’m blown away. So I have been recommending it to anyone who complains about large pores. It’s pricey but I will be buying it again. Would love an update on the products you got in your box if you have used any. I have very long lashes, but they have gotten straighter as I've gotten older...I guess to match my super straight hair. 🙄 Over the past few years, I've had to curl them and have used the blow dryer trick. But, I hate curling my lashes! Finally after having enough of it one day, I looked into lash lifts. They are SO expensive, and so I took a chance and ordered a kit from Amazon to do it myself. I can not believe how happy I am with the results, and what a difference it made! It took my lashes back a couple of decades. If only I could perm my face. 😂

Absolutely agree that inside out is the best way to help you skin and hair. I will say I started drinking 64oz (half gallon) of water everyday and it made a huge difference in my skin. That with supplements and good skin care takes care of everything. And I’m a 47 year old who gets mistaken for mid-30’s due to good skin health. Water, water, water!

    • @StephanieMarie
      @StephanieMarie  3 года назад +1

Curlers that work for hooded eyes also work well for eyes with less of a curve. If your eye has a deep curve, Shu works well. If you’re like me and you try to use them and you end up digging in the corners of the curler so the middle of your lashes can get into the curler, Shiseido or Surratt works better.
