I know what you mean about the challenges of changing DUMP spots. Sometimes mine are in the upstairs bathroom - other times they are in the downstairs bathroom - and lets not forget the away from home DUMP spots. Life has it's difficulties.
I love watching you on Utube. What you’re doing for others, is a true honorable man. Your great at explaining things! That is again awesome in itself for a man. lol 😂Seriously, I’ll be watching. God Bless you all and Stay Safe on that heavy equipment. 🙏🏻🇺🇸
Thanks mr digg we had a sand and gravel company and after we pumped out material we started a landfill same as you c and d took about ten years to fill in had 20 acres but so much of that was put away for retirement money
Congratulations to all the hard working Americans that made it possible. Maybe now we can get back to work and make some money to help support all those that will shortly be out of a job and crying like little children. Just wanted to say I am so proud to one of the ones that hits the ground running at 5 AM, start working at 5:30 and make money to support those that want a hand out. Thank you my fellow Americans !
Really enjoy the commentary on how and why things are done the way they are. I think one of the things I like is the multifaceted aspects you operation, and getting to see how one aspect effects the other, you have a nice operation, functions very well if you ask me. Thanks for the update, enjoyed watching.
Love the videos, I was wondering if you could show some more internal functions of the business and what business systems you have in place to run efficiently on the back end as well
@@davidmiller6010 David, why don’t you stop by in the morning and paint up a few for Ryan. I’m certain he’ll buy you a coffee or a beer. Hahaha I’ll bet it would be a fun day for you.
Hey Mr. Digg I found out what we are using down here for outdoor continuous streaming. It is made by Reolink and the model is RLC-823A 16X it uses POE for power and connectivity. SO you could set up a solar panel and a Hotspot from a cell provider and have 24/7 live stream!
Ryan ya definitely got a great thing going on at the landfill. I miss the business that my grandpa started then my dad took it over and I was supposed to take it over and got screwed out of it. I worked at my dads cousins landfill and loved it it's hard work we done trash, sludge and trees we burned never made mulch I like the way you're doing everything. Stay Safe bud
I enjoy learning the when, where, what, why, of opening a new cell. It made me feel like I was peeking into a bee hive watching the bees build their honeycomb. Organized chaos lol And wow, some of those truck drivers look like they're flying through the yard. Good thing your head is on a swivel!
@@davebrock6618 that would be a costly step up. Actually Matt from Diesel Creek is always picking up stuff like that at the Ritchie Brothers auctions. It’s amazing how he gets so much great stuff that works but needs minor adjustments.
Busy is definitely the word of the day. Has the limbs and brush from the hurricane started full force coming in to the recycling plant yet? Great video Ryan I’m trying to get caught up on them now. Thanks again see you next time.
Hello I think it would be a good idea for you to get a couple of the used portable DOT road signs the programmable ones that are solar-powered I see them cheap at auctions all the time and when I was working for a towing company they worked great for traffic control
Another good one so what do you do with the landfill when you finish one site do you just leave it as grass or do you maybe make it as a parking spot to keep trucks on?
You need to find a bunch of the signs that real estate agents use. When you're done using them, you can just pull them up and store them for the next time you need them. You should be able to find a company that can print "peel and stick" sign boards in the correct dimensions as the realtor signs.
Im surprised that you didn’t use a rotochopper to shred all of the wood and miscellaneous junk before you cover it with dirt. Today is a beautiful day, it’s a Red day. 👍
How long does it take for a landfill to have all that trash breakdown? How much acrage is needed for a landfill? How many tires do you go thru in a given year?
@TheRealMrDiGG I know you are busy, you don't have to respond to this.I ask about your dad, because he is my grandfather's age,and I just love older folks, and respect them,God speed
You should talk to Clinton at C & C Equipment, see if he can find you a deal on a haul truck, unless you're looking for a new truck. Great work out there.
@@TheRealMrDiGG Yeah Clinton loves going to auctions to find the deals. Plus he usually repairs the things that are needed. Don't forget his sidekick who loves to do custom paint jobs.
I can't remember what size, Chris from. Let's dig eightteen, rented from Volvo. But it was a huge off-road truck. I want to say 45 ton. It was for a pond about a year ago, it was huge, lol
I used to run roll-off and got to dump into a new cell , they had us backing across the floor of the cell and boy that was not fun, n̈ot real solid till we got a couple layers of trash packed on it .
my Mr Digg fix is online. i'm old and memory challenged but seem to remember a liner for the egg waste site. as that's not C&D do you have different areas with different policies as to groundwater contamination?
I wonder if there's a way to bale up the wires. That might make handling them easier. Then again, I could see you buying a wire baler if you get wires like that a lot. But this sounds like a one-off kind of thing.
Keep in the back of your mind .... Chris's stuck in the mud excavator recovery had 25 plus million views.... Mats, island, soup, Atomic = ....... You get what i am sell-en ... ! I just upped my 50k subscriber goal to 100k!

Why don't you pipe the ground and cover after there will be lots of methane hopefully you understand 😮 in years to come your have problems with drinking 🚰 water 💦 hopefully your ok
I would definitely be wearing a mask, in amongst the rubbish being dumped and moved, silica sand, glass particles and other fine dust is really bad for your lungs.
you should be wearing masks with all that dust. you don't know what has asbestos in it and a lot of these damaged homes are OLD! imo all your employees should be wearing masks after hurricane helene..... better safe than sorry in 15 years

Super busy again today!
you need one of those signs used on the highway for construction areas that is programable. Probably find one at an auction somewhere.

Gonna sneak the haul truck from DP.... he won't need it.. Aaron might get upset though. Lol
Need to tighten the tracks on that Deere 750
good morning Ryan
Hi Jerry!
How long does it take for a landfill to have all that trash breakdown? How much acrage is needed for a landfill? How many tires do you go thru in a given year?
Some of it never breaks down. 70 acres. A LOT of tires
You are in that deep sands soil. Fall line. Great for drainage, terrible for growing crops. I live on it 😆
I bet it becomes a bit of a major issue if you guys ever get one of the compactors stuck 🤣🤣
What you need is one of those highway construction signs on a trailer that can be moved around the landfill and programmed with different messages.
that would be awesome
Lots of logistics involved and most of us tend to forget about changes EVERY MONDAY MORNING 😂
lots!
How's life treating you sir? I hope pops is ok too.
Busy busy, Dad is doing great thanks for asking!

YOU PUT THE FILL IN LAND FILL 😂 😂
lol, thanks for taking the time to comment buddy!
Hi Mr Digg
howdy!
Ever have an End Dump tip over ?
Maybe watch some auctions for the illuminated road signs that you can program to direct traffic.
good idea
Do you have future plans for a big big dozer, maybe D10 or something that size, with a huge u blade for trash
Not anytime soon, just gonna rebuild the undercarriage on our D6 for now
When your done with a sell, do you ever notice the pile going down as the garbage decomposes?
You should talk to Clinton at C & C Equipment, see if he can find you a deal on a haul truck, unless you're looking for a new truck. Great work out there.
good thinking!
@@TheRealMrDiGG Yeah Clinton loves going to auctions to find the deals. Plus he usually repairs the things that are needed. Don't forget his sidekick who loves to do custom paint jobs.
Cant have sam sittin.idol mind is the devils playground😂
lol
how many more cell locations do you have after this one?
Could you put the shredder in the bottom and push the bulky stuff down to it just a thought joyed the video
not a bad idea
Frogger Ryan? lol Your showing our age! Throw some PONG in there.
hush! hahaha
use an old loader tire with a post free signage and it moveable
What happens when the dump spot is full? Does it get covered with dirt and look like it was never there?
I can't remember what size, Chris from. Let's dig eightteen, rented from Volvo. But it was a huge off-road truck. I want to say 45 ton. It was for a pond about a year ago, it was huge, lol
might look at the same one
I used to run roll-off and got to dump into a new cell , they had us backing across the floor of the cell and boy that was not fun, n̈ot real solid till we got a couple layers of trash packed on it .
sucks for the first bit for sure
Can you make video of your lagoons
what lagoons?
Do you or have you limited the traffic when the larger dump trailers are dumping? Landfill I visit doesn’t let anyone to be close to the dump trailers
we try to keep folks away from them
my Mr Digg fix is online. i'm old and memory challenged but seem to remember a liner for the egg waste site. as that's not C&D do you have different areas with different policies as to groundwater contamination?
only differs on stormwater for the different dump areas. entire site monitors groundwater
Have you ever had a tractor trailer dump its load and fall over to the ground.
I wonder if there's a way to bale up the wires. That might make handling them easier.
Then again, I could see you buying a wire baler if you get wires like that a lot. But this sounds like a one-off kind of thing.

Are you using HDPE as a liner
I’m a big caterpillar fan does the trash get packed it re tracks causing faster wear on the undercarriage?
absolutely
Did you ever get power back at the house.
finally!
Hi team is the new under carriage on the cat because of the material you work in or is it the hrs on the machine?
material
Hi Ryan it's Richard from england , those tracks did seem to last long on the Cat how many hours had she done !
video coming soon Richard
Chris needs mud pads,if you have some for sale
awful long trip though
@TheRealMrDiGG true
🙂

Volvo a45g
Surprised that more effort isn’t made to sort and shred that timber waste. There must be a value added opportunity you’re missing here?
We do, all timber is recycled into compost and mulch
Now that Trump is back you should be able to afford a new truck and signs for the landfill Ryan
🇺🇸 👍
Where does household trash go?
This is a C&D (construction & demolition) landfill, so no household waste
Over where you are pumping sand you are well below the water table, can you put trash in there someday without polluting people's shallow water wells?
nope state wont allow it
Them tracks look pretty loose on that 750. I can’t believe that Cat already needs an undercarriage how many hours around that thing.
How many hours does the new dozer have on it needing a new undercarriage already? That shouldn't happen already Ryan
video coming soon
Undercarriage already wow.that dozer is too new for that.
Congratulations on Donald Trump winning, much love from england!
There is zero recycling involved here. Only tree greens by the looks of it
Trump 2024 lets gooo!
Man I know it’s not ideal because of the new ramp but those guys are way too close together. I’ve got a pic somewhere of a big dump trailer on top of a wm packer
Why is all that wood going into a landfill?
It’s a construction and demolition landfill. However, we divert the wood and recycle it into mulch and compost.
Why don't you pipe the ground and cover after there will be lots of methane hopefully you understand 😮 in years to come your have problems with drinking 🚰 water 💦 hopefully your ok
we dont make methane because we dont accept any organic waste
you could actually burn majority of that, turn it into ELECTRICITY like we do in Europe.
What cant be burned is recycled.
Just a huge waste of energy.
good luck permitting one over here
