The only difference between cover 3 match and cover 3 buzz match is the responsibility of the LB and Safety. They just switch roles, obviously. But let’s say you’re defending trips 3x1 with cover 3 match, you don’t always want your LB in the hook zone guarding a WR a cross the field etc etc. So you use cover 3 buzz match/mable to let your safety guard the WR on a potential crossing route etc. On the flip side, if you’re going against 2x2 spread and you use cover 3 buzz match, you typically don’t want your LB in the seam flat matching receivers up the seam so cover 3 match would work better. Now if you have safeties at LB , or dogs at LB it may not matter as much. A good scheme to run would be having a man or cover 0 in your audibles, a cover 3 change up (buzz match, cover 3 sky/match, cover 3 cloud), a quarters solo check (cov 9, quarters), then you want a special check (palms, cover 6 etc)
Cover 3 Match: I user the safety. I don't want to break the match rules so I stay out of the hook curls Cover 3 Sky: I play as a hook curl Cover 3 Cloud: I'd user the weak side LB or the corner on the cloud flat Cover 3 Buzz: I never call this... so I'm not sure. Haven't labbed it a ton.
0:26 Cover 3 Sky is a spot drop zone ie Cover 4 drop, Cover 2 and is basically used for run defense and for user's who don't know wtf they doing... Cover 3 Match is a match defense and is best used vs 2x2 or compressed sets... Cover 3 Buzz, Cover 6, and Cover 9 are also a match defense and is best used vs bunch, trips and 5 wide...
@oldmangaming9 you haven't played users like me or my level or above... You in the Regs community which there's nothing wrong with it but all the DAWGs are in the CUT/MUT community and we know EVERYTHING...
@ Yeah, I don't like CUT/MUT because it's overly dependent on players ratings and abilities/x factors. I like regs because that's where schemes are more impactful. We don't have abilities all over the field to make up for deficiencies.

Buzz, sky, and cloud are named that way because of the player with flat responsibility.
Buzz = backer
Sky = safety
Cloud = corner
Ahhh. Thamks man. You played football?
@@oldmangaming9 yeah. And I coach youth ball.

@@charlesrose7088 quality comment. Yeah, I sub safeties at LB anyway so it won't matter too much but to ME but this is good insight.
What you're leaving out here is that Cover 3 match is just cover 1 if the offense wants it to be. Can easily lock LBers/safeties into man down field
Not me realizing I was using the wrong cover 3 against trips formations 🤦🏿♂️
Right seams be open
I hear C3 Buzz Mable does well against trips too.... although I haven't labbed it yet.
@@oldmangaming9 running from class kid lol... Told you I'll teach you everything ik about match defense...
@ I'll message you on PS today. I need clarity on a few things.
@@SSaiyan4226Can I learn to?
Which guy is the best to user in each defense?
Cover 3 Match: I user the safety. I don't want to break the match rules so I stay out of the hook curls

Cover 3 Cloud: I'd user the weak side LB or the corner on the cloud flat

"Cover 2 is for people who don't know wtd they're doing" lol
The middle of the field is my problem. If I can figure that out I’ll play pretty good defense.
@@godssoldier3298 Tell me more. What's your base defense?
@ depends I have a custom playbook I play cover 3, Tampa 2 , and cover 6 out of different formation.
8:50 in Cover 3 Match you want to play the backside LB... Less responsibilities...
20:00 The trips side is running palms... CB has MEG, Safety has 2-1, LB has 3-2...
Nah. It's just spot drop that kind of gets in the way before giving up a td.
@Str8kreepIn no sir cover 6 and cover 9 both play palms coverage...
@@Str8kreepIn your right... I initially thought it was cover 6 at 1st glance...
It looks like c6. But it has its uses. Vs trips isn't one in my opinion.
@Str8kreepIn yea, if you look at the time stamp posted, it shows the c3 cloud...
4:00 Cover 3 is a spot drop... They don't follow routes... They basically haul ass to spot which is why they bounce around is an area...
22:00 Users the backside Safety or CB...
5:00 Match is everything gets man depending on the route...
14:14 & high level users will still run Match knowing what's the weakness of the match and adjust to so lol...
@@SSaiyan4226 Then I'll just hop into 5 wide and COOK 🤷🏾♂️
