Nice. I added Edelbrock proflow port injection in 2007 to my 440 Jensen convertible and was an early customer of HiSpec's 6 pot calipers. 320/330mm disks I think ? The 17in rims made in the traditional Mk3 style suit it better IMHO. Interested by the lowered front valance. I have never got around to fitting the fiberglass spoiler that Jensen developed in one of their reincarnations. Looks like a high quality job, congrats.
I was hoping to hear the engine running but it's something to look forward to. Will be subbed, leave a thumbs up, and a tap on the bell. Thanks for sharing with all of us. Greetings from Flint, Michigan, USA!
I do really like the improvements on the exterior but one thing l hate is electronic parking btakes if there is a clinch in the electronics you are stuck in a cable operated hand brake even if the cable breaks at least you will not get stuck
Wow really nice work on the Interceptor, subtle mods in all the right places. what are the wheels 17x? I am working on my 71 and looking to fit as much rubber front and rear as I can. MoTeC touch is brilliant.
Very interesting project - thanks for sharing. Given that originality is clearly not a focus for the owner, I'm surprised he hasn't elected to go for an LS3 engine swap and 6-speed box - better performance, lighter, spares more easy to come by, much improved fuel efficiency.
It might get a modern 8 speed gearbox yet, we're going to see how it drives on the original. These mopar units are great, reliable engines, MPG not really a concern when owning a Jensen but the EFI setup should improve it over the original carb.
This is very similar to what I am doing with my Aston Martin DBS: ruclips.net/video/U1z9qs41HU0/видео.html. The wheels look identical to a standard wheel by 'Image Wheels'; the 'Billet 81', but Image also make a Jensen inspired wheel, the 'Intercepter Billet'. Was that considered? You might kick yourself for not thinking of it, but for my four headlamp setup I have one pair (outer) set for driving on the left in the UK and the inner pair set for driving on the right on the continent switched by a hidden switch in the arm rest. I shall be asking my electrician why we don't have MoTec PDM. We seem to have gone for the 'Sh!t load of wiring. All excellent work.
EFI 383. Bloody Legendary. Absolutely sick of seeing feature of morons that LS swap a Jensen. The ONLY modern motor that is acceptable for these cars, is a HellCrate, or the Demon Spec motor. Unfortunately, deleting the side-light means the car is much more likely to be involved in a Fail To Give Way incident, for someone off to the side who never sees the indicator until it's too late in a roundabout. There are many modern cars where the indicator in the headlights is not visible at all past around 15degrees off axis. When changing the lights like this, it is ESSENTIAL to add side-repeaters in the door mirrors, doing so in the grills is a GREAT idea. Can the daytime running lights be deactivated for owners who don't want to drive around blinding people in clear sunny days?
Thanks for the comments. The DRLs will have their own switch to deactivate if required :) The side vents have about 48 Bright Orange LEDs tucked away inside them for the very reasons you describe :) With the DRL flashing Orange and the side vent repeaters, you won't miss it!
Thought those were always great looking cars. Were...because congratulations:you managed to be the first one to make it look as bad as that Eleanor Mustang, from that crappy Gone in 60 sec.s remake. But hey,i am an old guy. What do i know?🙄
Front end looks weak like it’s lost it’s face charater and muscle. Change the wheels. Terrible. Like the air cleaner but not in that rounded oval. Doesn’t sit with the car at all. A cobra is all curves. Jensen isn’t.
the idea of a modern interceptor is the stuff of dreams, maybe if I win the lottery
Love an Interceptor and the craftsmanship is outstanding. Well done.
Love the Jensen and you've done a fantastic job with this one. Well done, sir
Nice work James, front end looks quality 👍

Excellent James.
awesome, that's a next level machine.
Two of my favorite vices, Chrysler big blocks and the Jensen.😊

Excellent idea and looks great✌
Rewatching that classic top gear episode where Clarkson drove this…..
Very impressive build I pick out the electrics and switches wonderful detail.
I certainly hope you plan on putting the hood back on.

great job. would love the know the source for the headlights! Thanks

17x7.5F and 17x8.5 Rears
Really nice work. I've never heard of this car before
Love Jensons, not a fan of all the black accents/wheels
Baby blue with chrome much nicer!
Nice build. Are you keeping the original analogue instraments? Part of the Jensen flavour for me is the way the rev indicator bounces around.
It's got a full suite of custom Gauges in the Dash :)

@steveberry a modern hemi mopar would be good too , drivetrain from a challenger hellcat maybe
Yes, that would work too.

Looking cool from the eyes of a former Interceptor SP owner, but I really don't like the black wheels. Otherwise, looks great.
is the boot the same volume size as the original ?
Pretty much. No modifications to the floor etc. A small reduction due to panelling behind the rear sear but it's negligible.
In my opinion better the original Jensen Interceptor, what class, Jensen Interceptor is the The Jensen Interceptor and is untouchable

Image were approached first and could not build the wheels we needed to our specifications.

Happy to build you one to your own preferred specifications :)
